Once everyone is out of earshot of the elf and making our way, Drux would pull them aside and tel them what he knows about the symbol.
"Really? I still have one charge left on the charm. Enough for greater restoration! Do you think it'll help?" She says once they're away and Drux relates.
Lore pauses and stares at Cat for a moment, "That's a very generous offer...and if it allows her to remember what they did not want us to know, then it's a small victory for us." He then resumes walking, "For now, I think we should rent a room in an inn somewhere. If they can follow her, it's best to lead them astray."
As they walk, Lore continues thinking. Eventually he pauses again, "Should we consider asking advice from an expert? There must be someone in town. I'd hate for you to use up the spell and gain nothing."
Lore shakes his head, "A room at an inn, first, I think. I don't want her screaming at the memory -- if she was tortured -- and attracting attention. Though I truly hope that there was no time for torture."
Putting the charm away "Okay but you're buying the room. Damn that coffee shop, was expensive!" Vowing not to patronage the coffee shop again, she follows hopefully to a inexpensive Inn nearby.
“There is wisdom in that. Caution may prove useful in this case. Someone this powerful could have eyes everywhere. And yes I do believe it should work.”
you manage to find two inns in the city. one is a small inn with a wooden sign nailed to the front door who reads "Giant's rest". the place looks normal, in comparition to all the other "luxurious" cafe's and shops around. yet, no one seems to want to go in, instead, a few people passes right trough without batting an eye, and walks towards other inn just at the other side of the road called "Gab&Robert's inn" who is a very decorated Inn, with a golden Animated Hawk holding the sign on it's neck. it slowly pecks it's golden feathers while the nobles enter trough the ornated door
Lore shrugs and, with a glance at Cat, enters the "Giant's Rest". If nothing untoward greets them, he walks up to the bar and asks how much for a room for a day.
cat does not recognize any of the people entering the inn. most of them are nobles that didn't really wanted to even get near to "common folk", as they refer.
entering the giant's rest, you see a pretty humble stablishment. there are a few furniture such as potted plants on the ground, and a few paintings at the walls. you see at the counter an elderly female tiefling, who is reading a book labeled "the feywilds- cursed realm or wondrous dimension?". she notices the group, looking up and putting the book down "welcome to the Giant's rest! ahh it has been quite a while since someone visited. do you require a room?" she asks, with a warm smile. behind her there is a staircase that leads to an upper floor, and at her left a few bells attached to the wall, labeled from "room 1" to "room 6".
Lore looks around the room, reconsidering the need for a room. The taproom seems empty (( is it? )), and noone seems to come here, so perhaps just a secluded corner would suffice.
He looks around the room for somewhere that they might be able to tuck themselves away, however briefly. If he finds such a place he orders a round of drinks, and moves there. Otherwise, he will enquire as the the price of a room.
Cathern. "We'll need a room for the night, mam. What are you reading are there any copies?" She looks at the paintings on the walls seeing if she recognizes the work, subject or even the style.
"You paint these?" perception 11 in log. Passive 14
Piers is more interested in the plants as he inpects them(nature 16(in log))."What a beautiful little pots you have here!Yeah we would like a room.. please tell me you have plants upstairs in your rooms.Do you?"

Once we're in a room and Kess is summoned back she'll use the charm.
( it's almost empy. there's only a few drinks there.
"oh? well it's only a book about the feywilds. you know, it was written by a bard and they tend to. .. exagerate a bit on things. but it's nice to escape reality sometimes. i think you can find on some bookstores around" she comments, nodding at the round of drinks and pulling a whiskey bottle and a few mugs "the price for stay is three go-" she stops for a moment "i mean. . . one gold coin, for each person." she says warmly with a smile. "oh, the paintings? they where done by an old friend that passed away. i keep them here so i can always the good, old memories." there are three paintings. two of them shows a unique landscape. one shows a forest in the night, with various lights flying around. on closer inspection, one can see that the lights are tiny sprites. the second one represents a tree with a sleeping face on the top of a mountain, with various mushrooms growing around it. the third painting is a satyr sitting on a rock while playing a pan flute. it's easy to tell that the painter tried his best to focus on the creature, as the background it's pretty minimalistic. there is no signature on any of the paintings.
piers notes that the plants of the vases are Hyacinths. they are beautiful flowers that posess a pleasant aroma. altough not posessing magic or any medicinal properties (on the contrary- their bulbs posess a poison that causes mild skin irritation) they are valued for decorative purposes.
"i do! i have those on each rooms, so you can sleep and wake up in good mood, heh. but be careful not to touch them, they're beautiful but they don't like the touch."
(once the group went to the room with kess) when the charm is used on Kess, her eyes widened, as she raised her arms "IT'S THE STONE! i figured! they where talking about the stone! some stone. . . ugh, i think it's "gola" or something, i don't quite remember what it was called. b-but i think it's a magical item, because apparently the woman traded the stone with the necromancer so he won't kill her family . . . for a bad guy to do this kind of vow the item must be, like, uper duper powerful right?" she says, and then grabs her head as the symbol on her chest disappears "ohh. . .i don't feel good. . .that cage had pure iron, i don't like iron, it's not good for my skin. . ."
"Focus sweetheart. What was the stone for Kess? Did the monster say where he's going next? Did the other guy say the creatures name? We need to stop him and we may not have time." Cat thinks this is bad news for sure. And there's a need to recover this, stone.
(May Cathern have picked up some charcoal or a quill/pen and ink? By now?)
"Really? I still have one charge left on the charm. Enough for greater restoration! Do you think it'll help?" She says once they're away and Drux relates.

(greater restoration can help remove the spell, fortunately!
"I think we need to talk to the tortured one. So we need to know everything Kess saw, bring her back! It wont hurt to try."
She readies the charm.

She glances at the place with the hawk looking at the people to check if she knew any of them. Perception 13 in log. Passive 14.

Drux moves into the in with Lore. He looks for a corner table. Out of the way not able to see the entrance.

Drux gets up, follows the group. “I was hungry. But I guess we can do this first.”
