Corvus smiles at the voice in his head, “Oh I know. It is quite obvious that she does not approve of me. I do not care what she or the others think of me. But yes, I will be wary.” His gaze drifts away from Gwen and towards Vex. He does not feel guilt for shorting him. Yes, he owes the Dragonborn a debt, but that debt can not be repayed with gold. The Dragonborn had practically called him an idiot before. Even though he owed that man his life, he would not reward such behavior, even if Vex never finds out what he did. It makes him feel better.
Corvus’ eyes brighten at the mention of a powerful sword. He would like to at least see it, but he would only do so if the group was willing to seek it out.
He follows Gwen to the tree and watches her start pushing on it.
“I’m not looking to enrich myself. But if there are strange things, potions or magical items in the manor, things that may help us, I’d be inclined to take them.”
As to the matter of what will ultimately happen to Simon, Jess remains silent. She has every intention of killing Simon, if it seems like that is what must be done to keep the natural order safe, and if given the chance. But It’s awkward to talk about that sort of thing, so she avoids the subject.
(OOC: I didn't see anyone offer Gilded gold, how much was it? and who gave it to him?)
Gilded will see Gwen push on the tree and hear Corvus tell her 'she had this'. He looked at Corvus with a sneer and says to the crowd. "How about I try." Gilded puts his arms on the tree and pushes, he feels that it really isn't that heavy, so he kind of shoves it aside, showing off his strength to some of the others.

Gwen looked to Jess about magical objects that could help in the fight.
"Oh using them for the battle is a lot different than looting the manor I suppose."
Gwen had taken this as Jess meaning she would borrow them for the fight as she stated she wasn't looking to enrich herself. Gwen suspects nothing on Jess's intent to kill Simon however. Gilded had begun to push the door.. The creaks of metal could be heard and loud clanking noises the door was plenty heavy! Though Gilded managed to shoulder it all the same.
"Wow you're even stronger than you look! And you look plenty strong Gilded!"
"Well.. I suppose this is where we part. Down there is Simon's old lab a few rooms but at the end of the last stair case should lead to the third floor."
She gave Gilded a hug than Kocino. Looking to Sloden she patted him on the shoulder with a grin. She went over to Jess and Corvus she gave Jess a playful salute. Looking to Corvus she offered him a stiff handshake (He could ignore it.) Looking to Vex she offered him a handshake as well though not as stiff as Corvus's. Than.. She looked to Drezmir last but not least. She cared for Kocino and Gilded greatly they had proven to be true comrades. She hadn't cared for them any less than Drezmir but all the same her glance toward Drezmir seemed a little different. Jumping up she gave the taller elf a tight hug. As she pulled away slowly her hair running down his shoulder she shifted her head with quick reflexes built into her. Turning her face she pressed her warm lips against the surface of his cheek. A crimson hue on her face but instead of panic was a small smile on her face. Before she could say anything else she waved to them all.
"Good luck!"
And like that she was off jogging down the forest, equal parts happy and embarrassed. She never thought she'd make new friends here at Glazing Wind and she was glad she had.
OOC: Corvus how much of the gold did you give Gilded again? 21 right? He got a bigger share and Vex got shafted xD Oh nvm you got that.
Oh no sorry I didn't mean to confuse anyone I was just making a joke about Corvus ignoring her plea for help xD
Yeah Corvus was just standing there that's all.
Also ima presume you guys took Gildaug's letter ^^
"Give me a few minutes to cast a spell. It will allow me to be aware of magical auras. I suggest someone walk first and observe carefully for physical traps, and I will go second, observing for magical auras."
Assuming the party agrees to that plan, she will immediately start to cast detect magic as a ritual.
"Dear comrades I hope this letter finds you in good health, I am sorry to leave at such a crucial time. Though last night.. I believe something spoke to me. I was bequeathed a vision.. A task and to perform such a task I must take a pilgrimage of sorts. Perhaps our paths will cross again or perhaps they will not. I have the utmost faith you will save Glazing Winds. Though our time was brief it was an honor to travel with all of you."
OOC This works cause for his backstory he actually did want a "Vision" so it leave the door open for him one day if he wants to return
As Jess takes ten minutes to cast the ritual before heading in the whispers and voices in the forest begin to grow louder and louder after 5 minutes in of the ritual.
Six minutes into the ritual, Vex begins to perceive the forest. He can feel.. and hear rumbling from below and the disembodied voices. Though he can't make out the whispers he see's in the distance a hand begin to crawl out of the dirt in the forest. It's still a couple hundred feet away from the entrance they were waiting at. The hand however? Appeared to be rotting and falling apart.
Drezmir was completely caught off guard when Gwen swept him and Kocino into an embrace. He’d never actually had that sort of contact with anyone before since he grew up in a monastery. He hesitated only briefly before returning the gesture, then backs off a little when Gwen releases them and speaks to Kocino.
When she is finished speaking he says, “Personally, I do not need payment. I did not venture beyond my kingdom to make a profit, I ventured out to improve my skills. And I have not been disappointed! I my skills have improved faster with this group then they ever have while I was back home. That is all the payment I need.”
He follows closely as Gwen leads them to the secret passage, eying the trees around them when the whispers begin. If they were not currently on a mission, he would be inclined to explore this strange place. Perhaps there would be demons to kill here…
When Gwen asks for help with the door, he is about to step forwards when Gilded moves in and shoved the door aside without any difficulty.
”Plenty strong indeed,” he says, agreeing with Gwen.
When she says this is where they would part Drezmir replies, “I suppose so. Good luck!” His words are cut short when Gwen jumps up to hug him…in her full plate armor…which knocks him off balance a little. Deftly, he steadies himself and returns the gesture just like before, only a little less awkwardly. …then is completely caught off guard when she kisses his cheek. He had not expected that in the least… Then she was jogging away, leaving him standing there…dumbfounded with heat rising in his face. He returns her wave…at least he thinks he does, really he just lifted his hand a little and kept it there until she was out of sight.
Still stupefied, he stands quietly as Gilded reads Gildaug’s letter aloud. It was a shame that the paladin had left, though Drez hadn’t really gotten to speak with the other half-elf at all. However, it was hart to think about that after what had just happened…what were they doing again? Oh, right, fighting Simon.
He is glad when Jess asked to take a few minutes to cast a ritual, it allowed him to get his thoughts straight. …mostly. He didn’t doubt that Gwen would be fine. He’d seen her fight, it would take more then a few guards to take her down. He also wasn’t to worried about himself either. He couldn’t die here, he had a destiny to fulfill, Fulgur wouldn’t let him die until his destiny was complete.
“We agreed that we should try and ambush him right?” He says after a moment, voice sounding a little cracked. Clearing his throat, he adds in a more confident tone, “If we can figure out where he is without being detected, I think we might be able to avoid getting into an all out battle. That would give us an advantage even though he’s got some nasty spells he could use against us. If we negate his ability to use ranged attacks, that should give us the upper hand.”

Push with all her might she did but she couldn't make the door budge.
"It's been so long it's jammed.. Can anyone maybe try and give it a push?"
OOC:
The DC here is a whopping 15

Gwen: Help me.. Push this
Corvus: You got this
XD
Whoever feels up to pushing on the thing, Jess will give them encouraging words and a touch on the arm, cast guidance on them.
Jess would like to reassure Gwen,
“I’m not looking to enrich myself.

Didn’t even need Jess’s guidance

(Ooc: Corvus didn’t actually say that lol. He’s just standing there watching lol.
Also Corvus gave Guilded 21gp)
Yeah, the DM added it for you.. lol
Thanks for the gold
Vex walks over to the door as well, and he states. ”I said leaving was a mere suggestion. But I will assist. There is always room for battle.”

"Before we start, let's see what happened to Gildaug." Gilded pulls out the letter and reads aloud.
What was in Gildaug's letter?
Jess will suggest,

Six minutes into the ritual, Vex begins to perceive the forest. He can feel.. and hear rumbling from below and the disembodied voices. Does a ritual take someone's whole attention, or would Jess be aware of the disturbance? I really don't know.
