Vex looks to Amon, and tells him. “Look, I know my old contractors are coming to take me away. I may never see this group again. I just hope the next guy does not have to face a similar fate to me.”
Vex does not wish to share this information with the rest, so would it be deception or stealth for that? Either way, Deception if that is needed: 18
(OOC: Looks like there is service here :) I still won’t be as frequent, but it’s something lol)
Drez doesn’t break eye contact as Herron stares at him. He’s grown used to such things, so he didn’t think twice about it.
“I see,” Drez is slightly disappointed, but he figured that such a fast solution would have been to easy. He continued, “Sent by the King eh? Interesting. Though, if you are here to help the Vitsvents you should know that we have reason to suspect that they are somehow involved in this ordeal with Simon.”
He pauses, “Hmm, so…why are you looking for this mythical flower? Does it have anything to do with Simon? Or is it related to whatever the king is dealing with?” “It so happens that my comrades were debating on whether or not to head to the capitol anyways. Perhaps we can speak to the king while we are there? If my comrades are interested anyways. I’d like to speak to him.”
“Or does this flower have something to do with the strange necromantic effects of the nearby forest? Are you insinuating that the flower is actually real?”
"Suspect the Vintsvents you say? Edward may be a fool but I never saw him a traitor. However allow me to take you're rather.. Serious accusation with an inquiry of my own. Say these to be true.. Now consider you're situation. Though you are victorious it's clear you are in pretty bad shape, Simon no doubt. Now imagine a mage.. Meant to handle Simon appears. This mage tells you he has a past with the Vinsvents. You than reveal they are behind this whole ordeal, who is to say I wouldn't be apart of it? Or that I'd handle you all in his stead? Seems a bold if not foolish move to trust me with such a thing yes?"
Herron says without one bit of remorse in his words as he looks deep into Drezmir's eyes before per-viewing his entire person. Gwen grips her fist with a low grumble in her throat.
"Gee! What a way to thank the people who saved Glazing Winds! To act like a condescending as s!"
Herron had straightened his cuffs as Gwen grabbed at his collar for a moment. Herron hadn't shown the slight bit of resistance when she had let go he had dusted off his shirt straightening his robes out.
"Better a "as s" as you put it than to play the fool who can't keep my affairs in my own town straight yes? Lucky for you all I am no such rat so this potentially fatal mistake will remain harmless. Does the flower have anything to do with Simon? A second rate mage? Not particularly, except one suspicion that the flowers powers may have been perversed. The power is clearly not in control but that explains testing a talent-less mage. He is at least expendable to their plight."
"You.. You son of a-"
Herron raises a hand as Gwen does her best to keep her cool. As a new and coming leader of Glazing Winds she couldn't punch an ambassador from Germuid.. No matter how badly she wanted too.
"I'd say the flower can indeed help the king with his troubles but truth be told I've been searching for that flower far longer than the king's recent troubles. Hmm? You'd suspect the Vintsvents than talk to the head of the Vintsvents themselves? I see.. Bold aren't you. I wonder if it was more vigor than skill that allowed you to defeat Simon. However I sense there is more to you than that. If any Vintsvents are involved Edward would certainly want to know of such a thing."
Jess had interjected as Herron looked over he had barely recognized her presence before but now he was analyzing her up and down as he had Drezmir.
"Nay, the curse of the forest I'm afraid is completely unrelated to the flower. Leading me to yet another dead end.. Still to finally hear the tale is remembered here in Radiance gives me some semblance of hope. That flower is indeed real child of water."
Drezmir appears unfazed by Herron’s remarks, though it did sting a little. He knew he had a habit of trusting people, but still… “Call me a fool if you want. Perhaps I brought it up because I was searching for a reaction. To be honest, though I’ve been told who these Vitsvents are, their status means little to me. You said you were here on business with the king, but that you also came to help them AND deal with Simon. I figured that you should know that they are suspects…though I don’t know how big the family is, so I can’t say it’s all of them. It could be just one member. We’ve found a multiple seals as well as this,”he pulls out the key that Corvus gave him. “Yes, I am making an accusation. No, I don’t know how big of an accusation it is. To be honest, I don’t really care. I am not afraid of you, nor am I afraid of these Vitsvents. I have greater enemies to worry about.”
He is rather surprised that Gwen became so defensive. It isn’t as if the guy had insulted her…
He glares at the elf. Sheesh, he thought the guy who randomly decided to remove the necromancy curse was nicer…now he has to wonder who he really is and what his real motives were. At the very least, he’s glad he didn’t bring up his other curse.
”What do you mean by testing on a mage? Are you referring to whomever is behind this? Inferring that it was through using the flower that Simon gained his power? Or are you…are you inferring that you were planning on carrying out this test yourself?” His voice is a little colder then normal. He’s never lost his cool before, but this man was getting on his nerves. “Ah…so, the king is a Vintsvent? How did I miss that? Hmm, well it doesn’t change the facts. Though if he really sent you to dispose of Simon, I somehow doubt he is behind it. Besides, what reason would he have to send Simon down this path? …I have other thoughts on this, but perhaps I’ll keep those ideas to myself lest you take them the wrong way.”
He lifts his chin, “All things considered, yes, I think I would very much like to meet this…Edward.”
Herron looks to Drezmir as he beguns to explain his reasoning.
"Searching for a reaction? That was the reason to take such a risk truly?"
Herron wouldn't reitterate that he was a mage sent to handle Simon or Drezmir's current condition he'd only give a snide chuckle as Drezmir told him he wasn't afraid.
"You've truly no fear, nor any sense of self preservation it would seem. I do not envy you're allies with such a dangerous mindset. Though I appreciate the "intent" as a warning. Tis only a warning not to trust so readily. These seals however can implicate the Vinsvents.. The royal family can be behind this. Though word of caution, do try to be more tactful when going about this matter. Being bold isn't a substitute for carelessness yes?"
Herron had placed a hand on Drezmir's wounded shoulder offering him a weary smile. Upon closer inspection Drezmir can see dark eye lines under Herrons eyes. Eyebags from lack of sleep perhaps. Herron's tone had slowly shifted from harsh to more so a concerned warning. Though Gwen hadn't cared much for his attitude either way standing firmly beside Drezmir.
Drezmir can handle himself thank you. We all can for that matter. It's true what they say about Germuid huh? You're all heartless bastards.
Herron had chuckled deeply as he took a step away from both of them with a rather polite bow before turning on a heel. Though he stopped when Drezmir had more to say his fist clenched as Drezmir talked of him using the flower.
"No.. No one must perverse that flower. Not I nor anyone else for that matter. Yes I my hypothesis is the flower was involved in the matter of Simon's ritual though I've no real proof to back up such a claim. Heh, you didn't know huh? You've a lot to learn about Radiance it seems. It has many... Cumbersome qualities but still.
Gwen sighs at his last comment on Radiance as he begins to walk away upstairs heading to his room.
As Herron walks away, Kocino asks, “If we uncover anything about your rose, how do we notify you?”
He turns to his friends. “You know, he isn’t wrong about the accusations. I assume the Vinsvents are involved in some capacity, but we should keep it to ourselves until we have more. We didn’t call out Simon until we were comfortable trusting Gwen and had a good amount of evidence.”
He finishes his drink. “I think I’ve had enough fun for the day. We should figure out what we want to do in the morning. Goodnight.”
Returning to his room, Kocino begins writing down the recipe for his feast to give to Kristoph before heading to sleep.
Vex looks to Amon again: “They told me that they will find me again, and from the time it takes for them to find places means that they have searched the rest of the country. My time here is dwindling.”
Herron looks back to Kocino as he talks about the flower.
"I do not need you to search for such a thing, though if you were to find it? As long as you aren't attempting to hide I shall find you in time"
Herron says on top of the staircase now as Kocino talks to his friends about the current state of affairs.
"Yes playing you're cards close to you're chest. You've a good head on you're shoulders." And with that Herron was off to his room. Gwen had sighed out in relief.

"Again? So, this has happened before?" Amon scoots a little closer to Vex, lowering his voice to match his. "How long has it been since the last time they went looking for you?"

For lying deception would fit better so the 18
It is hiding information from the group.
But not from Amon specifically. He tells Amon but does not want the rest to know.
(ooc: Once it's clear what Vex has to roll to keep the rest of the party from listening in, I'll roll the same.)
"I see." Amon nods in understanding. "And why are you so sure that your contractors will come for you tonight?"
