"We lead it into an archer ambush. It did some damage but it targets whatever hurts it the most. If you're doing more ranged attacks? It'll probably chase and go berserk toward that direction. So you gotta be careful however you take this on. None of our guards could handle it close range though... One hit and they were knocked out or dead. It'll probably attack you as soon as it see's you honestly"
OOC: Added it to you're backpack for you ^^ If anyone ever wants me to do that for them let me know
Drezmir nods to Gwen, "Its settled then. The Hill giant, then Simon." He pauses for a moment before saying, "I would not be against you coming. Fulgur knows we might need all the help we can get. Though, these will be a huge help." He holds up his health potion, shaking it a little to make it swirl, "This is much appreciated." He pauses again, stashing the potion away and then puts his hand on the back of his neck, smiling, "I guess it's up to you if you want to come. Gods willing, this fight should go better than the last one. We have a solid plan, some health potions...and I for one feel a bit stronger after our last fight...Even considering I spent most of it bleeding out on the ground." He laughs again, letting his hand drop to his side.
When they reach the Barracks Drezmir listens to the guard before saying, "Yes, we are here for the giant. Thanks for the warning, it is duly noted. I think we've come up with a good strategy to fight it. However, you say you've fought it before? Any other advice you can give us? I noticed the poster said that the thing is smarter than your average giant, but any notes about how it fights would be much appreciated as we go to face this thing."He pauses before saying, "And 80 gold is more than enough. No need to apologize for that. We are here to help."
(Oh, looks like I missed a couple posts. I meant for Drez to say that before the Guard spoke again, but he's basically asking the same question as Corvus did, so it doesn't really matter.)
(I would appreciate it if you could add the potion for me :) Thanks!)
"If you're party doesn't mind I am willing to assist."
Gwen frowns when Drezmir brings up his bleeding and she flushes remembering how she panicked.
"Yeah.. Nothing too heroic this time okay? It was nice you were looking after Jess but you can't help anyone if you're dead!"
She said with a stern look and her hands on her hips looking up at Drez. The man looks to Drez and sighs.
"All I know is what I told you're friend.. I couldn't land a hit in. The fight was.. Brutally short."
Gwen hears this plan from Corvus before raising her hand up.
"Allow me to take it's blows. I may lack magic.. Or any special Dawnblade power but I'm built to take a beating. Always have been. However if you'd rather I stay and investigate the guards further I understand that as well. I never was much of a leader so wherever you think I am best placed I will follow."
OOC: Want me to add the potion for Drez? Oh and one last thing! The god's talking to the characters is fine before (I won't retcon it) But in the future either let me know or allow me to work the gods/NPC/ETC ^^ That is all nothing big or anything just thought I'd say.
Vex looks to the orc and says. “Ze reason vy ich have given du all of zis gold, you honestly deserve it. Vorking day und night, just to make a living. I’m doing mein best to make it easier for you. Ich am going on one more quest before returning.” Vex then leaves to the barracks and catches up with the rest of the party.
OOC: I’ve put the potion in and taken out the gold
Sloden keeps trying to raise his hand to interject before finally inserting himself into the conversation with a loud "WAIT!"
"Ahem. Pardon me, but I've had time for some thought on this matter there seems to be a few things not in our favor now."
"If it's true that Simon negotiated with goblins, and the Jet brothers, it follows that he negotiated with the giant as well. So we may not need to defeat the giant, simply negotiate or even impersonate Simon and tell it to run off."
"Add to that: the Jet brothers in jail... The brothers Simon hired. In a jail run by Simon's guards. And Robin, who has only been a nuisance til he recently became a thorn in Simon's side by assisting in overcoming the Jet brothers; now he and his men are arrested? I do not like his odds."
"I don't wish to weaken ourselves prior to going into the manor, and I don't wish to put off going into the manner even another day. If we must take the giant... Guile and negotiation ought to be our battleground weapons of choice."
Kocino stops and thinks for a bit. “You make a good argument, but we don’t actually know it’s been Simon. All signs point towards him, but nothing concrete.”
Gilded agrees with Kocino and Vex. "I believe we have a good plan and we have a knight with us. I think we can defeat the giant. Much glory is to be had in combat."
Gilded then looks at Gwen. "I believe in your abilities as a fighter, I welcome you to join us. But I will stand beside you as much as I can. I am a paladin serving Iroas and I will not allow myself to hide behind you. I will attack with my bow until the monster charges, then live or die, I will be by your side."
"Don't worry I had my men personally watch the Jet brothers but it did create backlash why I pushed for my unit. I know Simons scared the Hill Giant off once before.. But I don't know if such a beast can be reasoned with. The Jet brothers and the goblins stopped killing lately.. Possibly due to Simon's deal. The Hill Giant still murders it's foes. Though I suppose we can't cross out anything. As for Robin's men.. They are being held at the manor out of my reach."
She listens to Sloden's plan as she thinks.
"Hmm.. We could always handle my brother first. If we defeat him the Giant would be easy in comparison.. We could rest till nightfall if we handle the giant. All are valid options but if you want I can check out Robin's men in the manor while you handle the giant."
Kocino than makes a really solid point that causes Gwen to nod.
"That's true, it's the nobles symbol but we don't know if it is him for sure."
Gwen smiles to Gilded.
"It will be an honor to fight alongside you sir Gilded."
”Ve must never give up! Ich vill fight relentlessly until ze bitter end to protect mein allies und to protect zis world in ze name of mein gods! Let us march on into battle! May ze gods be vith us!”
“We might obtain more information after dealing with the giant, and if it’s still murdering people out of control then I feel we are obligated to act against it in any case. Sounds like we will have to just put it down.”
There is no empathy in her voice as she says this last part, just cold calculating fact.
Corvus listens to all of this, but says nothing. He agrees with what Sloden says, but he does not care which plan is put into action, so he remains silent.
Drezmir thinks for a moment before saying, "It is worrying what could happen to Robin and his men if Simon is really the one behind this. However, we do have to consider that we could be jumping to conclusions about Simon. Yes, he seems the obvious answer for now, but again, we do not know. Still, it might be best to play it safe and try and free Robin and his men before anything can happen to them. However, this may be easier at night anyways." He nods to Gwen, "If you want to go check on Robin's men, then we would at least know where they are being held and what kind of guard they are under. If you could free them, that could be good as well--it might make him realize that nobles are not inherently evil. Or, we could just wait until tonight wen we sneak into the manor together. Perhaps if we got Robin out then, he might be willing to help us if it does come down to fighting Simon...though on the other hand, if Simon is not really the issue, having Robin with us might prove problematic."
He thinks again for another moment before asking Gwen, "If this seal is not Simon's, would Simon know who it belongs to?"
He nods to the group, "I think fighting the giant now would be best. If we successfully defeat this giant on our first attempt, we can rest until nightfall and enter the manor. This way we accomplish two goals in one day."

(OOC: Thank you.)
"I see," Corvus responds, "I think our plan still stands. We were planning to surround it before attacking it correct?" He asks the rest of the group.
Gwen nods and looks to Drezmir.
"If you're party doesn't mind I am willing to assist."
Gwen frowns when Drezmir brings up his bleeding and she flushes remembering how she panicked.

Kocino looks to Drezmir “Heavy blood loss will do that. Ha!”
“Gwen, I don’t like the idea of putting you in such danger, but who are we to tell you not to fight.”
Vex looks to the orc and says. “Ze reason vy ich have given du all of zis gold, you honestly deserve it. Vorking day und night, just to make a living. I’m doing mein best to make it easier for you. Paladin - warforged - orange
Kocino stops and thinks for a bit. “You make a good argument, but we don’t actually know it’s been Simon. All signs point towards him, but nothing concrete.”
”Here’s a plan. Knock it out, revive it und tell it to surrender. Otherwise, ve vill have a dead giant.”
(OOC: I have added potion)
Gilded agrees with Kocino and Vex. "I believe we have a good plan and we have a knight with us. I think we can defeat the giant. Much glory is to be had in combat."

Gwen looks to Sloden nodding as she listened.

”Ve must never give up! Ich vill fight relentlessly until ze bitter end to protect mein allies und to protect zis world in ze name of mein gods! Let us march on into battle! May ze gods be vith us!”

Gwen looks to Jess and Vex as well as Gilded.
"Are you guys decided on the giant than?"
”Ich still think ve could get better gear by going for the manor, yet if they vote for it, I’ll do it.”
Gilded : "Absolutely, he must be dealt with either way."
(OOC: I am pretty sure everyone except Sloden is on-board with this, but it needs to be all of us).
Corvus listens to all of this, but says nothing. He agrees with what Sloden says, but he does not care which plan is put into action, so he remains silent.
