Sc had managed to appear unarmed and not only that but a man afraid of combat. This could appear alluring to any bandits who'd seen there was one less guard. Jess herself had attempted to do the same but with her tactical mind and ready attitude? She only made herself look like the most active guard their ever was. She seemed clearly ready for a fight if one were to arise. Gilded though not as obvious as Jess has the appearance of a wandering cloaked swordsman ready to hunt his next target. Gilded with some of his survival skills is able pick up it's been around 2 hours. Maybe not the exact time but at least around that, that they've wandered anywhere from 5-7 miles at least. The blond sprints ahead while his two comrades remain a bit more cautious of the large traveling group. He looks to Jess and than to Gilded.
"Wow you two look ready for a fight! I can respect that! Milda's is going pretty good! I don't actually drink but it's fun to hang out with friends ya know? Was planning to reunite with the rest of our party and handle some bandits. My friend was whispering to be careful cause I wouldn't know if you all are bandits but.. Well you guys look nice to me!"
"Arthur!"
The silver haired female cried out as the the roguish youth placed a palm upon his forehead with a sigh.
"Sorry about that, I apologize but we've had to fight a few bandits before Milda's today. Can't be too careful out here in the wild I hope I didn't offend. So.. Where you all headed? If you don't mind me asking."

Amon stays relatively close to the group on the main road, always trying to stay in the party's sightlines lest they think he's run off. Occasionally, though, he'll walk along the edge of the road and pick flowers, making flower crowns and necklaces and offering them to his companions or to travelers they cross paths with. It had been a long, long time since he had walked along a beautiful road like this and bittersweet wanderlust had gotten to him. He seemed at ease. But he looked more sad at times, lost in his own head as his eyes trailed the horizon.
Looking at the newcomers, his eyes are immediately drawn to the purses on their hips. When the blond man speaks, he blinks a few times and smiles up at them. "Hello! Yes, it's wonderful weather! How is the road up ahead?" He tries to listen in on what the roguish teen is whispering into the blonde man's ear.

Amon appeared more like a merchant than even Sc. Simple and helpless that he had himself two guards even (Jess and Gilded) it was a certain.. Way he had held himself. Amon even knew how long they had traveled. Not perfectly but damn close and the miles too. Now would he share that with the group? That was for Amon to say. Amon isn't able to hear the rogue but read a few lip movements. Arthur was indeed right the rogue was worried the group could be bandits. So he knew Arthur wasn't lying on this front which may serve as peace of mind for Amon. He could be offended however at such an accusation. (Despite the irony.)
Arthur turns over and looks to Amon with a wide grin.

Jess realized that the gig is up on her deception. She says with some chagrin,
“We are just on our guard, wondering if perhaps you were bandits too! We heard the roads here are plagued with them. Our destination lies in that direction.”
She indicates the road heading to Dawn City. No sense in keeping that from them as it’s probably pretty obvious, or will be.
She’s intrigued to hear of their struggles and the mismatch of their lighthearted appearance.
“I suppose you defeated the bandits without any difficulty?”
"Yeah! Our party leader gave us great orders as usual. We all met at the guild, are you guys heading back to the guild?"
He says pointing where Jess had to Dawn City.
Some of the bandits scattered but we were going to regroup before checking the mountains again. I've gone ahead and tied them up at Milda's. Afterwards we were going to learn wind gliding at Dawn City. I mean I do plan on slaying a dragon one day.. Well I mean a bad one of course."
"Arthur, we are ages away from fighting a dragon and you know that. Maybe start off with Drakes? Besides Dragons aren't exactly flying around freely here in Radiance causing havoc and whatnot"
"Well Merlyn.. You heard what the king said about the borders"
"Yeah Leonard I heard him but seeing is believing."
"Than let's rank up our badges and go! We have to get on that taskforce!"
"I'll admit Arthur you're one hell of a fighter but we should still practice before rushing into anything dangerous."
Arthur shrugs them off before looking back to Jess.
"Well good luck on the main roads, we weren't attacked but we've heard about a few attacks."
"Yeah, Radiance isn't what it used to be. I wish you all luck on you're journey."
"You tied some rogues up at Milda's? Are you planning to just let them stay there and rot, or do you have a plan to get the authorities out to get them?" Gilded, being the trusting person he is, will place his hand on his sword and step in front of his companions. "Not too sure how I feel about killing dragons, but you know, have at it as long as it isn't me."
"Oh yes cause he said... What was his plan again? Wait.. Was I not part of the plan again? I remember knocking the guys out and we talked about it... Wait.. I know the "boss" can be rough but he didn't say let them rot did he?"
As Arthur called this person the "boss" it didn't seem to be like a subordinate but more like a casual nickname between friends or perhaps even poking fun. Leonard and Merlyn let out another sigh as they looked to Gilded.
"No, the guild will come and collect them with the proper wagons and care. Though because we couldn't do so with our own resources that will come out of our reward money."
"Oh yeah! Hey.. Don't worry about the money what did you wanna do? Go mass murdering in a tavern?"
"No I guess not, but we could've had a better plan prepared for such a thing."
Arthur looked to Gilded as he playfully hit at the strangers arm.
"Hey I said a bad dragon! Besides I mean one of the huge ones! You seem like a good dragon to me! You should see our church sometime! You look strong! You could become a paladin! Just like me!"
Sykt looks to the new band with his usual glowing red stare. He did nothing to change his appearance, he just made a different impression of himself and stared at them. He then spoke: “Greetings, people-from-what-I-have-gathered-about-this-conversation-are-guild-members. Do not fear me, I may look like an ancient myth of evil, but I assure you, I am not some form of thing that needs terminating.”
Gilded will respond to the young man that hits his arm. "Who have you bonded with Paladin. I am a paladin of Iroas, the great God of victory. I am also now a newly knighted knight of Glazing Winds." He looks them all over a bit. " You mentioned a bounty, or reward, what guild are you in?"
Arthur looks to Gilded for a moment thinking about what he had said.
"A god.. That isn't one of the five is it? I worship the god of Dawn, well.. I'm not always good about my prayers and such but I try to spread out what light I can. One bad pun at a time."
"Arthur! Not all Paladins take these talks as lightly as you. You could really offend someone. As for Iroas I've heard of them the church at the capital would count him among the "minor" gods that have avoided the celestial war. Although I mean no offense when I say that nor do I have an opinion on what god is minor or not. Dawn city however is building a small church for Iroas. Being that Dawn accepts all other gods that mean humanity no harm."
Sy walks up to the group as Arthur looks at him raising his blade at him.
"Foul abomination! I smite thee!"
He holds his blade raised a moment before sputtering into a soft laughter.
"Kidding, we've met some freaky looking people before who actually end up being pretty nice. Dawn says not to judge on appearance! At least.. I think he does? Ya know.. I couldn't actually tell ya. Oh what guild are we in? Well I'm glad you asked big guy! Cause.. Well cause...Oh yeah! Radiants "Shining Guild!"
“You seem good-humoured, member of ‘Shining Guild’. I do look like some sort of eldritch horror brought upon Fractum, but really, I am just a man with a curse. But you, you seem like you can lighten up the mood anywhere, somehow. One who is positive and helpful, yet vain and arrogant at times, yet not that often. A calm, collected person who loves spending time adventuring and with others, or just at the tavern having a drink or two, yet when it comes to battle, you help during times of need. You appear skilled in your craft, blundering very few times throughout. Am I accurate as to what you are like? Or have I just made an assumption from notations about you and evidence I have gathered about you, wrongly assuming who you are?” Sy replies to Arthur.
Drezmir isn't to concerned with deception, since he isn't wearing anything really flashy, and he doesn't really consider the fact that he probably looks more...prepared then the average traveler. So, he just walks along as he would any other day.
Survival: 23
When the three newcomers come racing over, Drezmir waves to them and responds, "Yes, it is a very nice day."He listens to the back and forth without putting many words in, as the three talk back and forth more to each other then to him...so he doesn't really know if he should butt in or not. Instead, he looks from one to the other as they spout words at each other, laughing a little at some of the remarks. When they mention bandits Drezmir says, "Ah, so you beat us to it then. We were hoping..."He stops himself, realizing he could very well give away their plan to any bandits still out there so he continues a little quieter. "We heard that there were bandits out here, but we decided to risk it anyways."
He listens as they talk of regrouping, "Hey...if your chasing bandits maybe we can help out." He looks to his comrades, "I mean...thats why we came this way right?"
"A dragon? That's a fine goal indeed," Drez says as Arthur talks of his future plans. "Can't say I've thought about fighting a dragon...though it would be a good stepping stone..."He trails off when Gilded say's he's not sure how he feels about that. "Oh... um. Yeah, perhaps I'll just focus on getting rid of whatever evil springs up. That's a good enough goal for me." He surpasses a laugh when Arthur specifies that he wants to kill a 'big dragon', but stops himself glancing at Gilded.
When Gilded mentions being a new knight of Glanzing Winds, Drezmir says, "Oh... Is that something we're supposed to say? I mean..." He looks to the newcomers, "I'm also a knight of Glanzing Winds...though I am actually from Romalia, so to be fair I'm not really sure what all that entails... I mean, we have samurai but I don't know if that is the same thing?" He chuckles, realizing how silly he probably sounds, "Anyways... can you tell us more about your guild? Do you think your comrades would allow us to help out with the bandits?" He pauses, then adds quickly, "I just want to help, no one has to split any of the bounty with me. So if that's an issue...well I can't speak for my comrades on that part, but I don't need any pay. I'm just looking to improve my skills and to help out along the way."
Corvus, who had been lost in thought comes back to reality as the three figures approach. (I won't roll perception or survival) Before they had departed, he had pulled up his hood and let his cloak cover his wings. His cyber arm is still hidden within his sleeve.
He watches the interactions between the newcomers and his companions carefully. He doesn't engage in conversation just yet. Instead, he waits for them to answer the other's questions.
Perception: (to see if he notices Amon eyeing the purses.) 6
Merlyn shakes her head at Arthur's antics before offering Gilded a bow.
"It is my honor sir Knight, I have studied on Glazing Winds before. It was once an important town to the kingdom of Radiance. Although it's last generational offspring is said to be a botched set as they say.
"Wait.. He's a knight! Cool that's what I'm hoping to do!"
"He just told you Arthur."
Arthur looks to Cy and his odd appearance with a rather blank look and blinking as he gives Arthur a rather explanation of himself. He stands over and pats Sy on the back.
"I like you're funny words magic man." He shakes his head a bit with a soft smile. It was hard to tell if this man was playing dumb or truly was. Perhaps he was doing a bit of both? Merlyn and Leonard leave Arthur to Cy as they look to Drezmir for a moment.
"Decided to chance it huh? You guys seem pretty prepared to me at least. Well most of you do anyway in case a fight were to break out. Be careful though, I'm sure more prowl on the roads still."
Drezmir had kept track of the time masterfully and the distance traveled as well. They had been traveling for 2 hours and have made it 6 miles give or take some odd minutes and feet.
Leonard and Merlyn looked to Drezmir with a bit of a surprised gaze before Arthur made his way to Drezmir first.
"Sounds great we could make a contest out of it!"
"Arthur! Ugh, you are so pushy. Why thank you kind sir but really you don't have to. You hardly know us after all and it's hardly fair to ask you to help us clean up our mess.
Arthur looks at Drezmir with big grin eyes and a childlike grin when he commends him on his goal. Leonard still appears to be a bit wary but friendly all the same. While Meryln herself still seems to be feeling the group out herself.
"You consider a dragon a stepping stone? Man you've got big dreams! Though I can't say I don't relate with that."
The three look surprised to see that Drezmir too is a knight.
"Really? No offense I'm just surprised."
"You too! Oh lucky! I've gotta get knighted!'
"Well sir knight excuse my two comrades here, it actually is in fact like being a Samurai! Well.. Knight's are a little different in terms of nobility but.. Well it's similar enough I suppose.
Merlyn looks to the other two as Leonard crosses his arms in thought.
"If we accept aid we do lose out on some "marks" but still the faster the bandits are handled is better than fame. We can't afford to split the bounty however I must admit.
"I'm not worried about Mark but the "boss" is a bit prideful.. I'm not sure how he will feel about losing any marks.
"He doesn't trust strangers easily either, hell he's still getting used to us."
"Oh don't say that! I'd say we get along great! Well, if you wanna hunt for some bandits in the mountains we can't really tell you no.. Right?"
"I.. Suppose we can't stop them no. Though I think we should introduce ourselves, I'm Leonard Ashbluff."
"Arthur Chevalier!"
"The names Meryln, Merlyn Wylit its a pleasure to meet not one but two knights all in one day!"
She pulls out a notebook of sorts as she begins to scribble several notes down with her quill pen.
When Merlyn comments on Glazing Winds and who he can only assume to be Simon and Gwen being a "botched set", Drezmir frowns, "What do you mean by that? I know Simon was...is...well, he wasn't what everyone wanted him to be, but that doesn't make him botched, as you say. But Gwen is quite capable! She's a strong fighter and is going to be a good leader once she draws the Dawn blade and takes charge. Just because someone doesn't meet their families expectations doesn't make them worth any less then the next person." His tone grows rather defensive as he says those last two sentences, however his mood shifts as the young paladin speaks up.
He laughs when Arthur says he's got big dreams, "I suppose you could put it that way." He doesn't elaborate on the fact that the dream was kind of chosen for him--even if it kind of became his dream anyways.
Drezmir looks like he would agree to Arthur's challenge, as it would make for a great training opportunity, but doesn't say anything as Merylin speaks up. So, instead he says, "Well, you didn't exactly ask. I offered. So what's the harm? This is what my comrades and I do..." He looks to his friends for confirmation, still unsure if they all shared the same opinion on that front.
When they remark on him being a knight he waves a hand, "None taken. Honestly I still can't believe it either...I never really pictured myself as a knight, but as long as I'm not expected to don all that heavy armor I suppose it alright." He nods to Merlyn, "Oh, I guess I know more then I thought I did then...its this nobility stuff that I don't quite understand..." He shakes his head as if he was going to say more about nobility but decides it isn't necessary.
He nods when they explain about the marks, "I see. Though you're right, we could just go hunt bandits...that's not far off from what we were doing already. Its just a more...direct way of doing it--searching for them instead of hoping they try to jump us I mean. So if you'd rather us just do that, we can still help without directly working with you. Again, personally I neither want or need any part of a bounty. My comrades and I just figured we'd try to clear out some bandits on our way to the capitol...just to help out our friends in Glazing Winds. Perhaps if the roads were safer it would help them get some trade going."
As the newcomers introduce themselves, Drezmir gives a small bow...which would be whatever he learned at the monastery, but he hopes it is 'refined' enough to pass as a knightly gesture. "You can call me Drezmir. Its a pleasure to meet you as well."
Merlyn faces Drezmir with a quizzical look as she jots down one more note tilting her head a bit confused.
"Simon wasn't what now? All I know from my studies is that Simon had failed to draw the blade storing it away. As the heir had failed it was up to Gwen herself to take the mantle and draw the blade. She had shirked from this duty. Simon already sickly mind you was further weakened by the blade's judgement. She had taken to the back lines as she allowed her frail almost dying brother to take the reins. Therefore the two would be known as "Dawn's Bane" the pair that would end the Dawn Blades lineage as their father and mother had passed from the great war. I suppose being from Romalia though I can't fault you for not knowing.
Leonard walks over to Merlyn before flicking her across the forehead with a soft sigh.
23 (Leonard's insight on Drezmir)
"I'm not sure his relationship with them but it's clear you're being rude now Merlyn"
"I am..? But they are just historical facts.."
"Don't be rude Merlyn! Books can't tell us what's in a persons heart can it? I'm sure this "Gwen" had her reasons right?"
"Feel free to join in if you wish but our "Fearless leader" might take offense with us reaching out for help. Keep in mind.. He's actually harmless as long as you're not up to no good anyway."
Arthur smiled wide as Drezmir talked of the fact that's "What his comrades did" Arthur chuckles as Drezmir talks about donning heavy armor. Pounding on his own chestplate he gives a chuckle.
"Why not? Heavy armor works great! Everybody should try it! Wait you're trying to clear trade for Glazing Winds? How are they? You're a knight from there right? Merlyn says the town fell from grace and is almost forgotten. The king doesn't seem like a heartless guy who'd abandon a town though.."
"He probably didn't he's been busy.. Remember? If you wish to work with us directly or not it's okay. Still though.. Could you point us to the direction of Glazing Winds? We'd love to check it out ourselves. If they need anymore help clearing out a trade route we'd love to help them before we head back to the capital to practice "Wind Surfing."
"A pleasure Drezmir! I've gotta ask.. This Gwen she can fight right? Is it true what the books say? Is she a "Cold beauty?" I'm not gonna lie.. Man to man I'm kinda curious ya know? So what's the news? Is she a total hottie?"
"Oh Arthur! Don't be weird! I doubt a knight of Radiance cares who's a "Total Hottie" you are such a child I swear. It's a pleasure Drezmir, I'm sorry about Arthur and.. For that matter I'm sorry if you're close to Gwen I forget you're a knight in Glazing Winds. I had only repeated what I learned in my studies I've never been to Glazing Winds myself.
"It sounds like those bandits have been soundly dealt with. We don't need to trouble ourselves with double-checking these fine peoples' work. We have our own destination and don't need to take a detour."
"I found Glazing Winds to be a city very much alive and certainly not worthy of abandonment by the kingdom. That information disturbs me, if I'm being honest. Glazing Winds could have benefited from more help. Pray tell, what is occupying so much of the kingdom's energy that they cannot help such a fine city as Glazing Winds?"
She will add thoughtfully, "As for this talk of Dawn's Bane, I suppose that shows you the level of understanding you can attain from book smarts. For myself, I think true wisdom is obtained through personal experience."
Corvus continues to watch this play out. He is convinced that this Arthur is a bit of an idiot, though he can't get much of a read on the other boy, both of them could prove useful in some way or another. The girl however, depending on how much history she knows....
Corvus steps forward, ignoring the boys, he addresses Merlyn. "My name is Corvus Blackwing. I see you are something of a scholar? I to have engaged in the study of history and the arcane, though likely in a less conventional way than you." He gives her a slight bow, making a refined gesture with his left hand, and continues, "However, I do have to agree with your friends on the matter of history and of books. Both are useful, though both can be misleading. Tell me. How far do your studies go? Do you only study nobles and the structures of kingdoms? Or do your studies branch out farther? Perhaps you know of Celestials? Fiends? Demons perhaps?" He gazes at her intently with his red eyes.

(OOC: Aah, I've missed so much lol)
Drezmir isn't to concerned with deception, since he isn't wearing anything really flashy, and he doesn't really consider the fact that he probably looks more...prepared then the average traveler. So, he just walks along as he would any other day.
Survival: 23
When the three newcomers come racing over, Drezmir waves to them and responds, "Yes, it is a very nice day." He listens to the back and forth without putting many words in, as the three talk back and forth more to each other then to him...so he doesn't really know if he should butt in or not. Instead, he looks from one to the other as they spout words at each other, laughing a little at some of the remarks. When they mention bandits Drezmir says, "Ah, so you beat us to it then. We were hoping..." He stops himself, realizing he could very well give away their plan to any bandits still out there so he continues a little quieter.
"Can't say I've thought about fighting a dragon...though it would be a good stepping stone..." He trails off when Gilded say's he's not sure how he feels about that. "Oh...
(Eesh I missed a lot too!)
"I like you're funny words magic man."
He shakes his head a bit with a soft smile.
Jess will say,
"It sounds like those bandits have been soundly dealt with.
