(Woops sorry my brain is a bit off. lol I've been sick so my writing my not be great. The dex was for the pseudodragon to evade the thugs when dashing into the crowd, and the stealth was to hide from them if he succeeded. Corvus hasn't come down from where he is hovering above the main party.)
Juzi had seen all of the commotion and felt truly conflicted. When he had been under Sheila's turtle-age, she had made certain that Juzi had understood that, if he ever did make it into one of the big noisy places, he should absolutely be on his best behaviour if things ever started to look not big. To ensure he knew what she meant by 'his best behaviour,' she had made him sit for what had felt like forever to Juzi as she had rolled things by him as he sat calmly. Only when anything had been rolled directly at him had he been allowed to move. This had taken an extraordinary amount of patience on her part, but working together, Juzi had come to a fair understanding of what she had been trying to show him. "If too much that you do not understand is happening, Stay. Stay ready. Stay," had been recited to him over and over by his kind hearted tutor.
Juzi had seen the boy run by and Jess jump in front of him, causing Juzi to immediately sit down. He had seen the others who had looked like they wanted to hurt his friend and the boy. Juzi got into a crouch to leap into action, but he stayed put as he whined softly in frustration. When Jess had started playing with the boy, Juzi had felt jealous and wanted to join in, but he held his ground. Too many times had Juzi been chased away from the noisy places. If anyone tried to hurt Jess or the boy, however, Juzi had decided that the noisy place could go wrestle itself for all he cared; He would save them!
"Well.. Give the kid over! He needs to learn he can't make false accusations! He ended up wasting my time! Time is money my friend... I'll be damned before I'm manipulated by some street urchin!"
The crowd hadn't looked at the party as a threat, as the kid had ripped them off. But they do seem a bit perplexed as Drezmir stands to protect the child.
OOC The kid hasn't given the vial back yet but he may if Drez ask and sorry for the pause >~<
Drezmir frowns, "So you were willing to protect him a little while ago, but now you think differently? Haven't you considered that if someone had offered him help earlier this might not have happened?" He looks to the boy, "Now, I'll say it again. Return what you've stolen, and I'll offer what help I can give." He again holds out a hand, expecting him to hand over something.
(OOC: No worries Sheild! We're just glad you're back!)
The boy was afraid, clearly afraid to reveal a stolen item in front of this crowd but with the urges of both Sy and Drezmir's kinder push he had decided to do so. Pulling out the vial and giving it back however he had given it to Drezmir despite the fact that it was Sy's to begin with. The crowd had growled a bit at Drezmir's protest one orc in particular had not enjoyed this boys "Game"
"I ain't a fan of almost being a part of this kid's con, I don't teach em a lesson and he'll do it again. They gots to learn they can't get away with this!"
Though a few do ponder on Drezmir's words.. If someone would have helped sooner maybe.. Things would have been different. It wasn't much longer before the Shadir Kai woman had shown herself looking to the boy before looking to the crowd. She had looked at this boy.. With a bit of obvious nostalgia.
(Lol watch Drez adopt this kid now just to keep him safe and out of trouble. :D )
Since the problem seemed to be mostly resolved, Corvus instructs Crow to withdraw and go back to watching the Shadar Kai. He remains airborne above the buildings, carefully watching the reactions of everyone. The Shadar Kai's reaction is....curious. Either she knows this boy, or he reminds her of herself or someone she deeply cared about.
(lol... honestly. Not going to lie I was considering that :'D)
"Thank you," Drezmir says as he accepts the vial. Then he hands it back to Sy.
He trails off as the orc butts in, "You have a point, but I think he's learned his lesson already. Have you not considered that perhaps an act of kindness could change his future? Whereas an act of aggression could push him to continue the path he is on?" He shakes his head, realizing that his words could be true but may also be wishful thinking. He sighs then says, "However..."
He glances back down at the kid, "I will not go back on my word, I will give you what I promised. But, you must do one more thing for me--promise that you will do better. I will give you money so that you can survive without stealing for now. Use this opportunity to find work, so that when this money runs out you won't find yourself back on the streets." As he speaks, he pulls out his coin bag and counts out 25gp but doesn't give it to the boy just yet, "I know what it is like to have nothing, but I also know that there are ways to survive without stealing. It is a choice you must make to take the right path, even if it proves more difficult. I ask that you do your best to stay on that path. Promise me this, swear it on your honor, and I will not only give these to you but I will also escort you out of this place to ensure that these people don't decide to 'teach you a lesson' once we are gone." Hesitating, he considers offering to let the thief stay with them, after all it wouldn't be a first for this company...allowing questionable characters to join them. Yet this was a child, and they were going to be facing untold dangers. It wouldn't be right to drag him into that while also promising protection.
He waits, holding the handful of coins at the boy's eye level while also keeping an eye on the crowd in case they try anything.
Though Corvus has his suspicions it seems he can't rightly get a read on this woman. It seemed the crowd wasn't interested in fighting such a large group of armed travelers. The boy had looked up to Drezmir and gave a nod. Worried of the crowd but eager to believe in Drezmir he wasn't speaking much perhaps he was nervous or perhaps he was doing his best to figure out.. What exactly was Drezmir's angle.
With that the woman had urged for them all to follow. It had taken some time but she guided them through as the angry mob before dispersed. A "Camp" in the slums many elven women and children along with humans as well. She had presented to them a tent with raw ingredients and the like along with cooking utensils the boy who had followed Drezmir looked impressed by all that was around him.
"Wow!"
"Here is what we can offer as well as extra hands. I hope you are all up to the task at hand."
OOC If they accept the help of her assistants their will be less con saves (Getting tired running around)
3 saves but with her people 2 saves.
And the more party members who help the lower the DC of the save.
For Kocino he will make a separate check
Either a dex check or a performance check plus his proficiency bonus (Because cooking proficiency)
“We’ll take all the help you can provide.” Kocino looks through the tent, taking stock of the ingredients available. Turning to the party, “I’ll take help from any of you who are willing. Don’t worry, I’ll just need simple help from the lot of you to get this all together.” He returns to the tent and begins pulling out the ingredients he requires.
As they work, Kocino give instructions to everyone, using the help to take care of much of the basic tasks. Kocino puts together 5 dishes for the meal.
Quick-pickled mixed vegetables (including cabbage, carrots, and turnips)
Cod Mortrew (creamed fish)
Small Mushroom Pasties
Mutton Stew
Rose Pudding
OOC: I will message Shield the check, so it doesn’t influence the parties decisions.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Drez smiles wryly at the kid, then reaches down to ruffle his hair, "Alright then, I'm trusting you." Then he removes one of his pouches from his belt--one he usually would use for rations, but is empty right now, and puts the 25gp into it tying it shut before handing it to the boy.
When they arrive at the camp, Drezmir scans the area. He still isn't sure what to make of these people, especially considering that they tried to get money from them earlier. If not for that fact, then he might have asked if they could help the boy out. As it is though, he doesn't want to leave the kid with a group who might just help him get better at stealing rather than helping him to learn how to get a job.
Looking down at the boy he says, "Hey by the way, my name is Drezmir. What's yours?" After waiting for a response he says, "Its up to you what you want to do from here, but you're free to stick around if you want. I can try to help you out for as long as I'm in the city if you'll let me, though once my group heads out you'll be on your own." He rubs the back of his neck thoughtfully, wondering if he could convince Flynn to give this kid a job at the inn.
When Kocino asks for their help Drezmir nods, "Just tell me what to do." He smiles, looking at the kid, "Hey, do you want to help? Maybe you'll learn something useful." If the urchin could learn some cooking skills from this, even just minor things, maybe that would help with the possibility of getting hired at an inn.

Corvus is extremely hesitant to leave the sky when his companions enter the camp. It is true that he had wanted to get a look at their base, but he is also aware that his group could very well have walked into a den of wolves. While a trap seems unlikely, it is still a possibility, and the warlock hates taking chances....he also does not want to act like a servant to these people. Frowning, he decides to land on one of the taller, more stable looking buildings close to the tent where his companions are working. If all of them enter the tent, the group of thugs could very well organize something without them knowing, plus Kocino accepted help. They are surrounded. Mind made up, he calls down to his companions and the shadar kai woman, "I'm keeping watch. I still don't trust these people, and they have us in a position where they could easily overpower us with numbers if they so wanted." His red eyes glow with a silent warning, "I don't think they still want to fight us, but better safe than sorry."
As long as no one objects, Corvus will stay above the camp keeping an eye on the gang members. Occasionally he will fly a lap around the camp before returning to his perch near the cooking tent. He will also have his familiar enter the tent every once in a while to check on things in there, as well as have him scout out some of the other more important looking buildings assuming he can do so without being seen.

(A 2. Unfortunate)
(I guess he played a completely different song on opposite that makes things more confusing)
On accident*)

Drezmir frowns at the crowd, now moving to stand between them and the boy as well.
(will write further actions once I know whether or not the boy gave the vial back. :D)
