As Gilded is healed, he jumps to his feet, sword in hand. "Where is he?" He then sees Simon on the ground with Jess healing everyone. "Sorry, thank you so much Jess, I have never been knocked out in a fight and was disoriented." Gilded will look around, is everyone up? "Great job everyone." He will go to inspect and tie up Simon.
Jess gives a nod to Kocino. “Thank you for a well-times pick-me-up. I didn’t mean to take a nap at such a bad time…” As she says the words, she remembers a strange sensation she had, it seemed like the ocean had been calling her… Maybe I’m just homesick. I do miss the ocean.
She gets Robin to his feet. “Don’t die on us now, Sir Robin. Your fate has not quite caught up to you yet.”
She observes Gilded tying up Simon, then quickly cuts a large chunk of cloth from her clothes and uses it to stuff Simon’s mouth so he can’t talk. She makes sure that Gilded ties Simon’s hands securely behind his back.
“Most mages won’t be able to cast their spells without use of hands or mouth,” she explains.
“That said, I do not think it’s a good idea to leave Simon alive. He’s too dangerous, and he has dark connections that we may not fully understand. If he is allowed to live on, then his strength will return, as a potent enemy. I know some of you may oppose it, and if you do I understand we are not the same, but I invite you to look away or leave the room. I’ll do what must be done.”
Corvus ignores Vex's thanks and walks over to stand in front of the dying mage. He kneels down and takes the scroll that Simon had been trying to get before Vex landed his last strike. He also looks for anything else on the mage that could be magical.

(Thats fine! I'll take it. I should have paid more attention to the distance lol.)
Wisdom Save: 7
He's going to be down even with half damage, but I'll roll just because)
Dex save: 4
From the corner of his eye, Drezmir sees Kocino help Gilded back to his feet...of course. How had he forgotten that it had been Kocino who'd helped him up after his second fall in the fight with the wolves? This really was a good group. If only he himself had more to contribute in the way of healing...but that would have to wait.
Closing in on the mage, Drezmir bares his teeth as they exchange blows. How had he covered that much ground? He hadn't even noticed the distance until he'd crossed it...and this burning on his arm. What did that mean? A voice echoes through his head, but he pushes it away. Those words were of no consequence. They were all lies. All that mattered now was defeating Simon.
...He's at 11 hp right now, so even if he takes only 13, he'll still be down.
(Welp, he didn't save anyways. At least he succeeded the Wisdom save though!)
Drezmir staggers backward as another torrent of fire comes rushing towards him. This time he is to slow to avoid them, and is engulfed in the red tongues. Pain wracks his body, searing his skin and sending his senses into shock. Before he knows it, he is on the ground...sinking into darkness once again.
To those watching, once the flames clear, he is now in his half-elf form again. However, on his left arm there is a black ring that wraps around his wrist like a shackle.
As Corvus searches Simon, he glances over at the fallen Drezmir then calmly says. "Someone should heal him. Unfortunately, I used my last health potion so I cannot."
I am also out of healing potions, and can not lay on hands until I have a good long rest." Gilded says, "but I can possibly stabilize him." Gilded will do a medicine save on Drez.
Drezmir's eyes blink open. Phantom pain washes over him--whether from the flames a moment ago or just the normal burning in his blood, he does his best to shrug it off. He sits up slowly, running a hand over his face. Realizing he no longer has a fox's snout, he looks at his hands in surprise. Relief floods over him, and he lets out a long breath...but what was this? His eyes fall on the black band around his left wrist. He frowns, thoughts racing through his head...was this...the result of killing that guard?
Pushing his thoughts away, he looks up at Gilded and Kocino and smiles, "Thanks, friends."
He looks to Simon's fallen body, "We should bind him...and take away the scroll and orb he had. I have a feeling those might be giving him power like that book was."
Drezmir had taken the full brunt of that fireball! (29 Damage) Drezmir's body felt faint before collapsing entirely. Kocino had gone to go heal Drezmir. Kocino had awakened Jess from before. Jess was able to wake up Gilded as well. Robin awakens to Jess healing him. Shooting up he see's her and than see's Simon in critical condition.
"Wait.. What happened?"
He looks to Jess with a meek smile rubbing at his head.
"T-Thank you.."
Gilded went to tie up Simon but he was still bleeding badly and breathing rather heavily. (Death saves.) Corvus had wandered over and taken the scroll. Robin stood up slowly a bit lightheaded.
"Careful with that scroll, it could be attached with that ritual."
Corvus looks over to see the orb Simon had before. He had a pair of key's on him as well but other than that he didn't seem to possess anything. Not even armor or weapons for that matter. Drezmir comes on over along with Corvus as the two search him for anything. Even without a proper investigation Drezmir can see the orb clearly in Simon's hand. In the orb appears to be clouds and lightning swirling inside. A curious item indeed.
OOC Drezmir failed the Dex save so that is the full 29 damage.
Drezmir, glad to be back in his regular form, eyes the orb for a moment...grabbing the book hadn't done anything to him, so he should be alright picking up the orb...right? Eh, dealing with dark rituals and demonic entities is what he was made for, so what's the risk? He picks up the orb.
If nothing happens, he smiles and turns to the group, "Who thinks I should smash it?"
"I have no doubt that it is." Corvus replies to Robin, "We should burn it as soon as we can."
Corvus looks a little peeved when Drezmir walks over and takes the orb. After taking the keys, he looks at Drezmir. "Not just yet, let me see it first. It may be of use to us if it has not been corrupted by the ritual. Besides, breaking it could release the energy inside of it and blow this whole place up."
If nothing happens to Drezmir, Corvus will examine the orb.

Robin looks to Corvus and Drezmir when talk of the orb comes up.
"On one hand we could blow up.. On another hand you're right it could be dangerous magic trying to corrupt us. I don't know enough about magic or the arcane to know if we should smash it or not."
Corvus was examining the orb, he could tell it was an arcane focus. It wasn't quite as strong as the book with it's radiant energy but... He senses the potential to "bond" with it. He couldn't tell if it was attached to the ritual or not but.. It shared a somewhat similar aura to that book although it did appear less sinister. Corvus had taken the keys right beside Drezmir.
"What are those key's for?"
Robin was rather curious to what Simon would have Key's for. He had looked over at Simon's desk to try and look around himself for any clues that could help them understand what happened here.

OOC 29 halved and rounded down would have been 14 damage.
He had 15 HP right? He coulda stood up with 1 HP all badass haha xD
Corvus looks at Robin, "I was wondering the same thing myself. We may want to look into it, he could have been hiding something. We shouldn't let anything to do with this ritual go examined."
Looking back at Drezmir he says, "Can I see that for a moment." He reaches out to take the orb so he can examine it more closely.
Jess will heal Robin and then Gilded, if that’s possible.
Jess casts cure wounds on Robin for 9
And cure wounds on Gilded for 7
As Gilded is healed, he jumps to his feet, sword in hand. "Where is he?" He then sees Simon on the ground with Jess healing everyone. She draws her dagger.
Vex draws his glaive from his back and grabs the axe from Simon’s shoulder. He turns to the rest and asks: “Should I finish him off?”
If yes, he decapitates Simon with his glaive after grabbing it.
Gilded says to Vex. "No, don't kill him, once he is incapacitated, we do not kill."
Corvus ignores Vex's thanks and walks over to stand in front of the dying mage. He kneels down and takes the scroll that Simon had been trying to get before Vex landed his last strike. He also looks for anything else on the mage that could be magical.
