Drezmir looks a little disappointed, but hands the orb to Corvus so that the warlock can study it. Then he bends down next to Simon and hesitantly attempts to stabilize him.

"I know some of us don't think we should spare him, but think of it this way...if we don't we won't know who else is behind this awakening. This isn't just about Glanzing Winds anymore. This is about all of Radiance."
(OOC: yeah, I don't know why I said 13 lol. But, no, he only had 11 hp left at that point, so he was down either way. Still, that would have been epic lol.)
Looking closer really hadn't helped Corvus understand much more. Robin could be see gathering jingling bags of coin on the table and one paper on the table. He had set them on the table in a neat fashion for the party. Drezmir was able to use first aid to stabilize Simon as he began to breath a little easier. Robin looked over and sighed.
"I can't lie.. Part of me wanted him gone. Part of me still does... But you all have shown me that being driven by such emotion is self defeating. For obvious reasons though I can't contribute to that talk. I'm too biased to the fact that I just want him gone.. Losing Emily.. It still feels too fresh in my mind I'm afraid."
"I understand that Robin, and I don't really expect anyone else to agree with me. It is clear that he has made this choice for himself...following this dark path...but there is still much that we do not know, and we need Simon to fill us in there." Drezmir turns to his comrades, "Jess, Vex, I know where you two stand." He looks to Kocino and Gilded, "What do you think we should do from here?" Lastly he looks to Corvus, "I don't know what you're opinion is. What do you think about the orb? Would it be beneficial to destroy it?"
Gilded will do a divine Sense and ask to hold the orb as well. he looks at Simon, "I am happy you saved him I guess, we can keep him alive to answer for what he has done? I wouldn't kill him, but I wouldn't save him either."
Corvus looks a bit out of it for a moment. Once Gilded addresses him, his eyes focus again and he looks at the dragonborn then at Drezmir. "I would very much like to keep this and do some more research on it tonight. From what I an tell, it is not corrupted like the book or this scroll." He reluctantly holds the orb up so Gilded can examine it but he does not let him take it.
"As for him," He nods to Simon, "From what have seen, whatever was left of the real Simon died a long time ago. I think it would be better just to put him down."
Gilded can sense the item had indeed been desecrated, leaving a foul aura around the orb. However it didn't seem as intense or foul as the leftover aura from the book. The scroll that Corvus had taken had emitted an even fouler desecrated aura. Robin looked over at Corvus than to Kocino.
"Looks like three for killing him, two for not. It's comes down to you're friend here huh? All I ask is if you kill him don't ask me to explain to Gwen. I'd rather not be there when that happens if anything. Also when you decide that you should come take a look over here at his desk too. ..Allow me to say one thing though, if he is to be spared. That he should be taken to Gwen's knights so he can at least pay the price for what he's done."
"I think I would like to hold the orb while I study it." Gilded says as he is looking at it, he holds out his hand to get the orb from Corvus. "Until we know what power it possesses, I think I am the best one here to hold on to it, and perhaps you should let me hold that scroll for now as well"
Gilded looks at Robin as he talks about Simon. "Interesting, now you are interested in justice for what people have done. In the previous room you seemed pretty sure that you and your men shouldn't have to answer for your crimes."
“Shatter the orb. Tear the scroll. He’ll cause no harm anymore.” Vex says, gesturing at the bleeding Simon. His urge to murder played out just as before, once before he was attacked, and he decapitated them. He would do the same with Simon if nobody tied the vote.
"If we had let him die in battle is one thing, but now that Drez has stabilized him, we will not be executing him like that." As Gilded stands waiting on Corvus to let him hold the orb and the scroll, he looks at Vex. "There is no honor or victory in killing a man that can not defend himself."
Corvus glares at Gilded but pulls out the scroll, "Do whatever you want with this. It's foul and should be disposed of, however, I'm keeping the orb." He hands the scroll to the dragonborn, "Believe it or not, I am well equipped in dealing with magical objects." With that he puts the orb in his satchel and walks past the dragonborn over to Robin. He seems rather disinterested in Simon and is fairly disinterested in the coin at the moment. He holds up the keys, "Now, let's see what these are for." He begins looking around the room, trying to figure out what the keys go to. As he does so, he glances at the paper that Robin had placed on the table.
"Looks like we have a tie," Drezmir says, satisfaction and relief crossing his face. "I agree with Robin, we should take Simon to the knights so he can pay for what he's done. However, I don't like leaving that orb and the scroll intact. We don't know if doing so would allow Simon to continue tapping into whatever magical reserves he's got waiting for him. If those are what allow him to use magic, getting rid of them would make it a lot easier for the knights to keep him imprisoned. Otherwise, we could hand him over just for him to escape after we leave." He pauses, "I also think we should give Gwen a chance to talk to him. She deserves that much. Perhaps she can help convince him that what he's been doing is wrong. Even if she can't, she at least deserves to see what he has become, and come to terms with that fact. It will be easier for her that way, rather then us killing him here and trying to justify our actions afterwards."
“It is not a tie, it’s 3 for killing and 2 against. Let’s be done with it, this man is dangerous and likely will be able to cast spells to at least escape if we don’t put an end to him now.”
"Exactly who gave you the right to decide what is yours and what the rest of us will split up?" Gilded follows Corvus to where he walks and stands directly in front of him. "When did you get to decide that you get whatever you want?" "You decide who gets what gold, you decide who gets what every time? Why does no one else in the group have a say in where things get distributed?" Maybe I missed it, but I did not hear anyone say that you got to just pick and choose whatever you decided was yours!"
Jess will wait for further arguments before doing anything because she respects the decisions of the group as a whole. But in turn she hopes that Drez and Gilded will likewise respect the decisions of the group.
Jess will further add that it may be valuable to interrogate him and also let Gwen confront him, but it should all be very controlled, with hands tied, mouth gagged, in a large open area with guards spread out. Jess is worried though that adding Gwen and other citizens of Glazing Winds to the mix will complicate the situation too much, add too many voices and opinions as to what ought to happen next.
Vex just wishes to be released of the pain. The suffering he has caused, he’s close to his breaking point. He asks the two holding the other magic objects that were used by Simon to take them. If they give them to him, he attempts to throw the orb across the room into a wall and tear the scroll.
Corvus crosses his arms and continues to glare at Gilded. The feathers on his head and neck rising angrily, “Up to this point, I’ve been the only one competent enough to find anything of value.” He hisses, “I’ve shared everything that I’ve found, even though I could easily have kept it all for myself. Have I not been fair? Gold is gold after all, what difference does it make who gets which coins? The only other items I’ve kept for myself is this armor and the health potion, which I used on him!” He points at Vex.

Kocino and Simon have abstained.
Jess, Corvus, and Vex are for killing.
Drez and Gilded are for sparing.
In other words, Jess is willing to yield for purposes of interrogation, to be followed swiftly by execution.

“Destroy the orb! No more harm can be done by Simon if it is destroyed.”
