Faloniir will check on Fro and Cyro first, then help the wounded below deck. Once he's done he'll find the Captain to see if there's any other work to be done.
Later, Faloniir will say to Fro and Cyro, "Do you think Wolfhunter and Icewalker would be interested in joining our cause?"
Cyro says to Faloniir: “I’ll ask them now, as they may have shared more of a bond between us due to these battles and games.” He walks over to the Icewalker and Wolfhunter and says: “So you know the disease that caused the blue veins on me and Fro’s body? We will die without a cure, and so I came here to ask: Will you help us find a cure?”
“For one, friends. I have some magic items and gold, so you can have that. We can train and become stronger! You could become famous! That’s what’s in it for you guys.”
“Research. We have very few things of how the disease works by the previous research, but it is not enough. If you come across any artefacts with a white powder on them at Eisencross, do not go near them. The powder needs to be contained and sent back to the the mainland. Either that or we find the smartest person on this ship and ask them to help research whilst there. Here’s what we know about it: The disease is caused by the mentioned white powder, which transmits it into your body. At first, no matter how much warmth surrounds you, you always feel cold. After a few days, blue veins grow all over your body. After a month or so, you freeze solid.”
The goliaths give Cyro a bemused look and Icewalker says,
“Funny little guy, you say a lot of words we don’t care much about. When we went here before, we were paid well to guard the camp. We will probably do that again. Traveling out into the wilderness is dangerous. Not everyone returns.”
Wolfhunter adds,
“This ship is named Remorhaze but there are real remorhazes out there. Not even we are strong enough to fight one. Have you seen a remorhaze before?”
“I’ve lived in a cave for 150 years so no, I don’t know what they are. Even so, I have explored nature for even longer, you guys can handle it. Besides, there are 3 in the group that I came with on the ship. Five strong people, with an abundance of weapons. We fought that tentacle monster, we can fight a few wild animals.”
A fortuitous breeze rises and the sailors, battered as they are, get the ship moving. The captain is relieved to put that section of the ocean behind him.
"We did well," he says, "with you strong types on board to protect us. Otherwise that sea monster would have had his fill of my crew! Captain Hightower will always be indebted to you." And he gives you a low bow, sweeping his captain's hat off his head as he does so.
The rest of the day passes uneventfully, with all nursing their wounds and getting their strength back. Icewalker and Wolfhunter remark that this has been the best sea voyage they can remember, and they dole out the rest of their booze with the whole crew, with the captain's permission.
With good winds at your back, you're able to complete the voyage in the predicted 9 days, and arrive at Syrinlya in the middle of
DAY TEN since being exposed to the powder in Hulil's thrown vial
DAY NINE of the sea voyage
The temperature has steadily dropped since you left Palebank Village, yet it seems to grow colder still as you step off the ramp of the Remorhaze and into Syrinlya. It's not much to look at. Through windy snow, you can see fur-lined tents and yurts arranged in a large camp. Campfires are whipped by the wind, with dwarves, elves, and men huddled close to the flames.
“Don’t worry! It’ll cool down here eventually!” a joking voice bellows over the snow. A large dwarf with a shaggy mane of unkempt hair bows to you. His face is scarred as though scratched by a large claw. “Orvo Mustave at your service. Elro sent word about you, so I've been expecting you. Welcome to Eiselcross!”
Cyro and Fro, please make constitution saving throws.
Faloniir smiles at the joke and greets Orvo, "We'll meet Orvo, I am Faloniir. Has Elro told you of our reasons for coming here?" If not, He'll fill Orvo in and ask for any advice he has to offer.
(OOC: We didn't get to finish our contests.. :-( Im pretty sure that Fro was winning.. I also wanted to see how fro and Cyro did against the barbarians in the tug of war... Just make it up your way if you want... )
Fro Constitution: Nat 1 + 5
'Hello Orvo, is there a place we can get warm?" Fro says uncharacteristically
(That’s fair, the sailors weren’t much in the mood for more feats of strength but you can challenge the goliaths to a tug of war and the captain needs to award the spyglass. I guess I got excited to move along to the next thing!)
(Is it Fro and Cyro vs the goliaths? You’ll each roll an athletics check obviously, and each roll a performance check to see how well the crowd cheering you on can suffuse you with extra energy, and an intimidation check to see how much your resolve to win will effect the opposing team, and we’ll add it all together. So each roll athletics, performance, and intimidation)

The two goliaths will confer briefly and then say,
“What’s in it for us?”
“For one, friends. I have some magic items and gold, so you can have that. We can train and become stronger! You could become famous! That’s what’s in it for you guys.”
“What is the job? We know nothing of finding a cure.”

The goliaths shake their heads and mutter something to each other in a different language.
If Fro overhears then she knows they said,
“Poor little guy doesn’t even know what he’s walking into.”
Then in common they say,
”Much respect to you, little gnome. We will stay at the camp most likely.”
Cyro knows the language of giant! And since that’s the language the goliaths speak if Fro is able to overhear and understand it, so can Cyro!
Oh that’s funny. The goliaths assumed you wouldn’t know.
“I can hear you guys, and I know what dangers I face. You thought I couldn’t speak your language, but you are wrong.”

The goliaths rolled 79 + 10 - 4 = 85
Fro and Cyro tally an 80.
The goliaths have pulled you 5 feet closer to the center line! Another 5 feet and you’ve lost! You’ll have to pull them 15 feet now to win!
Reroll!
