As the others are joining the conversation Mixtli looks around for any hot peppers he might try to test his abilities.

The stall is festooned with dried peppers of all sizes and shapes, some tiny ones still attached to an upside down plant, others strung along strings. There are bins of assorted peppers, some dried or smoked, some fresh. There are jars of pepper related products, the spicy honey, pepper jams, relishes, chutneys and all manner of sauces. Other jars contain ground peppers, either in single variety or blends.

Mixtli will take a couple of different fresh peppers and ask how much it would cost him to try those to see if he has a chance for the challenge; although he expects with his love for spicy food as a tletepecan that he should come pretty far.

"Well, if you enter the challenge, the peppers there are chosen from a special stock kept just for the challenge, but if you'd like to sample some of what we have to offer, what you've picked out would run you one silver."

Tandor turns around, looking around, and when his back is to the man he casts guidance. He finishes looking around, then faces Vi with a smile. "Nice place. Personally, though, I've had enough challenges for the day.  What I'd really like to know, Vi, is why you're trying to get Kusa and her friend to kill each other."

"Whaa--? Kusa and who? Kill each other? What are you talking about?!" Vi looks at Tandor in confusion, his eyes darting amongst the others there.

Tandor eyes at the man carefully, trying to discern the truth.

Mixtli throws a silver to Vi (before Tandor says these things) and tries one of the peppers.

Tandor nods, "I see. A misunderstanding then. I do not see Kasem about.  Where has he gotten himself too?  And which pepper do you recommend I start with?"

Vi gives Tandor a narrowed look. "My brother is busy. As to what pepper you start with, it depends on your experience and how much you enjoy the heat you can handle."

Pleasantly spicy, with almost a citrus note at the start, heat building before retreating prior to it getting too uncomfortable. Diced fine, it'd be a welcome addition to many dishes.

"indeed, Kusa and her former friend fought in the streets. they only stopped when i stepped in." Liber makes himself known, and radiates "screw with me at your own risk" emotional energy.

Vi sighs and looks up at Liber, one of his eyes twitching. "Great. Good for you."

"Anyone else wish to purchase peppers or spices?", he asks, looking around.

"Ah! You sir! How do you like spicy food? The heat lets you know you're alive!", he calls out at a passerby who gives a polite smile and makes an excuse about heartburn.

Inside the tent, Mialee drops one of her picks, and when she bends down further to retrieve it, notices a long, shallow box stowed under one of the cots.
