In relatively short order you arrive at the guildhall, and a young fellow poring over the books looks up and waves at you. 

" 'Ello again. Mishty, was it? If you're looking for forgework, I don't have anything anyone's asked after, but I can see if anyone has a project that could use an extra set... sets of hands?"

The lad was in training, an apprentice to one of the forge masters, apparently taking his turn at tending the ledgers for the guild.

"Hey there, nothing like that today. Today me and my friends are here to look after Inyz Haro's Construct. Do you know who we should speak to about it?"

"Ooo! Really!? I'll go get Master Jacapo!", he scampers off, and returns in short order with a burly human, his dark hair with flecks of grey cropped close to his brown scalp. His eyes crinkle up at the corners as he greats you in a softer voice than would be expected from his frame.

"Ah, Mixtli, welcome, and may your forge fires burn hot.", he says with a slight bow. "I see you heard about poor Professor Haro? A shame that, though we don't think the construct was involved in her passing, merely following its protocols in defending her and her lab."

"Protocols? Lab? Can you be explain a bit more, please," asked Tandor.

"Yes, if it still responds to protocols and follows its instructions one would assume there's something you could do to turn it off remotely."

"She was an independent one, Haro. Kept her own lab, in town, along the southwest wall, far side of the Market. Would that I had the ability to turn it off remotely, but I'm not too proud to say her work was far beyond me, or other smiths of the guild. If there is a way, I fear it's knowledge died with Haro... or it's written down in her notes somewhere... in her lab... with the construct. I don't know what it's protocols are, but we'd like to handle it as quickly and... quietly as possible. For now, it's remained within the lab, and hasn't shown signs of pursuing beyond the bounds of her space, but if it were to say... run amok in the Market, that would be very, very bad."

"hmm......is it weak to any elements or does it require absolutely physical disconnecting?"

"From a group that made the attempt, it is NOT susceptible to lightning, but beyond that, I'm not aware."

"How would you expect the construct to be shut down? Is there an 'off' switch, or ought we just try and cut cables? Do you have any sort of picture of the thing, or the lab itself?"

"Also, a map of the lab would be great."

"I agree, it would be, but Haro didn't see fit to submit any schematics. We can probably sketch out rough dimensions of her lab, and think a couple from the last group to try to shut it down are still in town, if you wanted to talk to them, might be able to get more details. One of ours was who discovered the body, but they got out quick once the construct activated. Don't think anyone reported cables or an 'off switch'."

Liber ponders his spells.

"Alright, well if you can get us a sketch of the lab, especially including any windows and doors, and tell us where the last group is we'll be on our way. Unless anyone else has anything?"

(sorry for the long gap of me posting, fellow players...I'm back)

Nodding, Trencher waits for what he hopes is a decent map of this lab.

He has one question, "Do they care how many pieces this thing may be in once it is turned off?" as he has his axe held in both hands.

"The job was clear about that 150gp to make sure the construct is out of order, 300gp if it is in one piece and just turned off"

"Yes, we wish to be able to retrieve Professor Haro and see to it that her remains are cared for, and eventually that the lab space is able to be utilized, but if that can be accomplished without destroying her construct, there is a bonus."

((I'll try to get a sketch and other available details up later today, but in the meantime, he directs you to a local inn where the last group to make the attempt is staying.))

 "Ah, well, I guess I wasn't paying attention to that part earlier."  He says with a bit of a blush and a nod.

"Well, the only way I'm going to be of help 'turning it off' is pounding on it with more metal, but 150 gold is a LOT of money, so if we get to the point of finding it, you all let me know if I should NOT be hitting it with the axe."

You're given a rough sketch of the lab, with "Back Room", "Engine" and "Furnace" labeled.

"Sorry I don't have more details, but the front entrance is here, her lab extends back and to the right, there's a wall as you go in, and the furnace on the far side of that. I think the last group said it was still active. Bunch of workbenches in the middle and along both walls, large windows between these supports, and a small one near the back wall between the main workshop and the half round back room. She's got an engine she was working on there, but hadn't heard that she'd gotten it functional." 

"is the unit autonomous enough to finish it's master's work?"

He ponders for a moment. "That would be quite impressive if it was, but I think it lacks the direction to do so. I'm not certain I could finish Haro's work, I doubt it has the knowledge and understanding to do so... reports haven't been that it's been working, more just guarding and protecting."
