"You're welcome to all my pain you want, 's that something you Pelorites... Pelorians? can do, just take the pain away?" He extends his other hand, that hasn't be occupied with scritching Gilbert or lifting pints, and his fingers are swollen, and bruised within a loose wrapping.
"Other's got it worse, they're upstairs if you're purging pain, they need it worse... need it more. *hic*"
"Don't got the coin to pay fer magic healing, mind...", he says, pulling his hand back before you magic him and send him an invoice.
"HOLY SHII-- err, beggin' yer pardon, your holiness... ah, that metal bastid knocked us about but good... you able to do that for the others too?!"
He staggers to his feet, barely having the presence of mind to cup a hand around Gilbert before his lap disappears. The cat seems a bit miffed until the drunk places him on the table in front of the platter, purring with delight.
His bandaged hand is loose in its wrappings, with the swelling going down, and he tugs it off and begins stumbling towards the stairs.
He staggers up the stairs and fumbles at a locked door before realizing it's not the right one and stumbling further down the hall to where he manages to get the door open and stumbles in to a rather crowded room with three bedraggled would be adventurers strewn across the beds and the large chair.
"Hey lads! Brought a preacher that'll fix you up for free! It is free, right, you said no money, but you're not after like... souls or something instead?"
At a glance, Tandor and the others can tell that there's been a few broken bones, bruises and perhaps a concussion or two amongst the sorry lot that peers up at their companion that has interrupted their convalescence.

"But first what?", one of them muses as Tandor spends the next ten minutes praying over them.
"Bloody evangelicals, knocking the door in just to pray at you..."
"Is this a prank?"
"Shush, thish guy's the real deal!", your friend from downstairs hushes them.
"Ah, yer drunk!"
"Nah, lookit my hand!"
"Fine, I'll listen to the sermon, but if this is your idea of a joke, I'll break your hand myself!"
They simmer down and wait out extoling of Pelor's might and mercy, and are rewarded by his healing grace.
"See! I told'ja!"
"Aww man, if we'd had one a them, we'd've taken that metal meat grinder no problem!"
Those previously recuperating in bed rise and shake Tandor's hand in thanks, promising to offer thanks to Pelor, but if it's not too much trouble, they're quite hungry, and thirsty, now that they aren't hurting, so if he didn't mind too much, they'll just pop down to the common room and have a bit of a post healing snack, if he didn't mind.
A man who is shrugging his shoulders and raising his arm about after being healed of a broken collarbone remains seated on the edge of the bed.
"I'll answer what questions I can, thanks for fixing us up again, like the lads said. Ahh, well guessing Tarok told you we tried taking that job to clear out the construct in the dead lady's lab? Figured it out to be doable, take some maces and shields and bash it up a bit... hundred fifty's a lot of gold, even split four ways, you know. Went in all quiet like, and saw the body in the chair... weren't looking to nose about, you know, just get in, do the job, collect the gold. It started yelling at us, calling us intruders and saying we didn't have access and the like, bunch of other stuff... This was the construct, not the dead body, but it started repeating itself, but sounding more threatening, even though the words were the same? Not sure if that makes sense, but like louder and more serious. It didn't take kindly to us pulling out weapons though, and went after whoever was closest to it, can't quite recall which of the others it was, it got pretty chaotic after that, but we were doing okay for a while, it'd focus on one of us and just keep falling back, avoiding it, while the others dart in and pop it in the back, but I'd've thought we'd be leaving bigger dents than that in the thing, it seemed pretty tough, but we were wearing it down, I like to think anyway. Kept telling us to get out, but then I bumped into a table and some junk fell and broke on the floor. The thing said... something about lethal force and marched over to this crystal orb in there, 'bout the size of my head, and a bunch of lightning flowed into it. You might not believe we were doing anything to it if you go in there, cause I swear that after it touched that crystal, it looked good as new, but the eyes were glowing red and it REALLY started coming for us. Just glad that thing didn't have a weapon on it, or we'd probably be the new coat of paint in the lab, if you catch my meaning, but we got plenty smacked around on our way out the door, but it didn't chase us, just closed the door behind us and locked it, could hear the bolt go shut. If you're serious about going in after it, wish you all the luck, I give up any claim we had on the job, no doubt about that!"

"Did you do anything else before knocking some stuff of the table that might have made it decide to go lethal? What sort of stuff did you knock off the table?"
"Not much of a drawer, but I can try if you've got some paper... the orb was kind of middle of the room on the left though. It was sort of over by that side, but behind some big chunk of machinery when we came in. Other stuff to make it go lethal? I mean, we were hitting it with maces, so doubt we were endearing ourselves to it. Some books and some glassware, long fiddly bits."

(well, when we get there, I can cast Detect Magic and Identify as ritual castings. so, at the very least I can detail out the contraption once we deal with the automata, peacefully or otherwise)
((I assume there must be some kind of switch, the question is are we gonna find it^^, can anyone cast invisibility?:P))

I have excellent stealth and sleight of hand, and ok perception and investigation. Maybe we have Spark detect where the magic stuff is and then I try to go mess with it, perhaps with the rest of the party distracting it? or alternatively, it seems like if we talk to it it might respond somewhat- we could try and distract it by saying we have permission to be there and just see if we can confuse it into a good position for the party?

Trencher chuckles softly at the posting with your soul comment and shakes his head. “We would have a question about what beat you all down, though.”
Tandor joins Trencher, laughing at the comment. "Yeah, we just want to talk, but first..." Raising his hands, he begins chanting.
