"Oh right, I thought we were free to do the job as we want, but if you need the construct back it's yours of course. I didn't really think about it and just told the construct to follow us when we left the professors place."

"Free in terms of methodology, but the desired outcome was that we were able to recover Professor Haro's remains, and for the guild to have access to the lab and her work. Active and obedient is certainly better than deactivated or destroyed, so I'm sure a bonus beyond the 300 gold could be cleared. I don't wish to offend with assumptions, but may I ask what is in the sacks?"

Tandor turned away, unwilling to out his friend but also unwilling to participate in the...procurement. He went over to the person with the honey, gave a brief summary of what he'd already discovered, including the construct's odd behavior regarding the honey. He kept an eye on the other conversation and, when it appeared over, excused himself and returned to his friends.

Liber weighs his options, makes a motion....and ultimately tells the truth as he saw it.

"Well, given the fact that the resident was dead AND the construct was also being removed from the premises, we believed it....prudent to prevent the resources inside falling into criminal or malicious hands. if you want, we can make a tally of all that was secured from the lab, and escort you to obtain the rest from the property."

"Alright, clear Ill ensure the Construct is obedient to you, I suppose?" Mixtli says before he has a seat at a table to work on the device he found and ensure the construct will listen to the guild master. When that is done he'll give the guild master the control and explain how it works.

"Oh, to me? I suppose... would it be possible for you to show me what is you're doing to encode that?"

Liber opts for the soft-sell of persuasion

"I doubt anyone would just try to ransack the place now that the construct is no longer there, but I'll send a team over, I don't think an escort is necessary, thank you. You can just hand anything else you retrieved over to some of the apprentices there, they'll see to the cataloging."

Mixtli looks at the guildmaster

"I though you would make the most sense in the guild no? Also fine if he stays connected to me and I just instruct it to stay and help you."

"It may be useful to know how to key it to other individuals, if we end up having someone who is working with it directly. Without knowing the exact manner of how it's linked, I'd be concerned about distance or duration of it holding those instructions... if it was acting on your instructions and that link was severed by your returning to the Citadel, we'd be ill served by it running amok."

Trencher nods and without explaining things  gives the books over to the appropriate apprentice with a smile. 

"Fair enough, let me show you than" Mixtli says before sitting somewhere with the guildmaster to show how to relink the construct.

Books and construct are turned over to the guild, and the guildmaster clears an additional 200 gold for securing the lab in a way where the construct was functional and able to be studied (500 gp total), and offers you an alchemy jug variant that is a bit of a prototype.

"It's still usable, and generally is able to produce what is intended, but sometimes it's a bit off. The journeyman alchemist who produced it has refined their process and is able to make more consistent ones now."

((So that's 100gp each, correct? Who wants the alchemy jug? Mixtli would be interested.))

Trencher quickly packs away his payment, ignoring the magical jug.  Giving a bit of an eye roll as the man explains about what it is.  As he is standing next to Liber he states to him, "I'm just trying to save enough so I can upgrade my weapon.   Anything in particular you are working and saving for?"

Tandor puts his money away without a glance at the jug. Glad the job is over and ready for the next one, he waits patiently for his friends.

Mixtli eagerly takes the jug from the guild master, and pockets his payment.

"I've heard of these things, what can it make again, and what happens when its a bit off?"

Liber is content with the 100 gp, and mentally prepares for a session of study and sabbatical.
