"Yes, I won't make you wait on me, I'll get my wagon around and get underway to catch up to you on the road.", Lady Dre nods and rapidly walks ahead towards her shop.
You move through the town, your progress being slowed a bit by townsfolk who stop to ask if you're going to deal with the problems, and thank you in advance. When you reach the dusty outskirts of town, there is a slight figure in scholar's garb reclining against a large stone marker, an inscribed staff resting easily in their hands.
They push themselves upright, and approach, speaking in a soft voice, "Good day, I am Proclaimer Tungsten Ward.", with a nod.
"I wish to accompany you into the Rattle... I fear there is a malign magical influence at work, and seek to understand it that we may better keep the people here safe. I commend you for joining in that effort."
((Kora, you may give me some background establishing retro-checks... History or Religion, and Insight?))

While you've not much direct interaction with the Proclaimers of the Covenant, the order that Ward belongs to, your general sense of them would be as fair, but motivated to find and keep the Awakening Song, the sung oral tradition and history that is the basis of the festival that is being set up for back in Promise. Ward's role is to seek evidence of the gods' influence and motives in all things. Ward then adds such evidence to their orders' records and creates new verses of the Awakening Song. Your sense of Ward as the person is that their relaxed demeanor isn't quite a facade, but the result of a calculating personality that understands that being perceived as approachable and easy going makes their job much easier. Not to the sense that anything they are doing is false, but more in the way that a very skilled interviewer can get their subjects to open up and keep conversation flowing. If you've ever had a chat with a missionary who put you at ease and was easy to talk to, kind of like that, but without any pressure or call to action.
I think for a crit, that I'd also say that Kora would have a sense that they'd fall into a lawful good type alignment, for whatever that's worth.

"Tizoc Trencher, but my friends just call me Trencher." He pauses a moment, "Cause I was really good with digging trenches to keep lava from destroying what it shouldn't have been moving to."
Kora wasn't ready to see one of the Proclaimers around, but here one was. She isn't exactly put off by him, they don't typically get in the way, but well... songs weren't her thing, even if it was to their God and all that. She's heard their explanation of the Awakening, and honestly she was surprised they were out of Promise with the Festival going on.
"Ward you say? Well, nice to meet you, but I'm surprised you're out here getting more verses when the Festival is about to start in Promise? Wouldn't you want to be there to join in all that comes with Proclaiming the Song of the Awakening? Not that I'm saying I don't want you along, I'm just surprised is all." she shrugs her shoulders on the whole thing, "but if you're coming, let's walk and talk." and she continues towards their destination.
"Ah! A name with a Story attached to it, that is a fine thing indeed."
"I have my suspicions that the group of you will be in need of Verses added about your deeds! If I am not there to Witness and Record them, who will?", the Proclaimer says firmly with a soft smile.

The party from the Radiant Citadel, with the addition of a trio of druids and a Proclaimer, head out of town to investigate developments on the farms. The journey from Promise leads north through the Ribbon, where clustered farmhouses dot the dark-red ground between stands of scattered woods.
The journey is familiar to Kora and her two companions, having been part of their trip to town. She knows that the farm that Aunt Dellie indicated that her goddaughter works at is about a half day's journey from town, about halfway between her grove and Promise.
There is a plume of dust that grows behind you, and before long a wagon pulled by a pair of horses rumbles into view, moving quickly to catch up. Lady Dre waves down with a smile. "Heading in your direction, if any of you would like a ride?"
The Proclaimer greets her politely, with a nod, "Lady Dre. I take it you've curiosities about what led those four to wander into town and attack?"
"Quite out of the ordinary, I think you'd agree."

As the wagon and those on foot continue on, you pass farms, but eventually, the road dwindles to a track. The stands of trees grow denser and the farms fewer and farther between as you near the lands called the Rattle.
Folks working on the farms look up as you pass, before returning to their labors. Even with the festival starting soon, farms still have work that needs tending to.

As the wagon rattles on, hours of travel have passed, as you push into the rattle, the party nears a weathered farm surrounded by crops that look healthier than those they saw in the Ribbon. Not everything about the farm is hopeful, however, as growls and excited yipping resound from the field surrounding the nearby farm. The source isn't clear, but from the motion of the tall crops, something moves swiftly through the fields parallel to the road.
