Gilbert Perception 14

<There's... a human... being chased by something, make that somethings canine...>, Gilbert sniffs about, conveying that someone ran through here, and seems to be pursued by multiple very large predators, his own pawprint dwarfed by the massive footprint in the dusty soil.

If Tandor casts his senses through his feline companion, his vision is limited to ten or so feet.

<You want me to follow them?>

Tandor and the others can hear the rustle of vegetation as the prey is being stalked, whoever is out there is not too distant, but out of view.

Yes, but be careful.

Tandor then relays the information to the others.

Gilbert moves off, sending back updates, that soon cut off as he goes out of range. He was heading in the direction of the rustling, from where you now hear a growl and yip.

"Is there someone out there?" asks Ward.

"I'm sure it's probably nothing.", respond Dre.

"Stop the wagon. I'm heading in after Gilbert," says the cleric of Pelor. As soon as the wagon slows enough, Tandor jumps down. "Whatever's out there is hunting a human. Stay here if you like." He looks at Dre as he says this. He waits a moment for his friends, hefting his mace, then turns into the field and follows the sounds.

Mixtli quickly jumps of the wagon aswell, ready to follow Tandor.

"Hunting a person? Well, go save them!", Dre exclaims. "We'll follow in the wagon!"

Gilbert urges Tandor on, exclaiming that he's found them, just ahead.

Tandor and Mixtli crash forward into the crops, eventually emerging into a clearing left by a rocky outcrop thrusting up from the ground, the surrounding area hard rock and boulders, unsuitable for planting. An older human man is cornered atop a boulder by a trio of large, rust colored coyotes, each the size of a pony. He swings a broken stick at them, his clothes disheveled and torn, a bite on his left bicep. The man is focused on his attackers, and doesn't see or hear the two arrive.

Can Mixtli move forward and cast Burning hands to hit all three Coyotes, or at least 2?

They were focused on their potential prey, and don't notice Mixtli until he's unleashing flames, yet two of them manage to dodge the worst of it, the third taking the brunt of flames as they wash over, the clearing filled with the scent of singed fur.

Tandor initiative 19

Tandor rushes up behind the coyotes, mace raised hi. Seeing the farmer's bloodied arm, he calls out to Pelor, even as he moves to attack, "O' mighty, Pelor. Help thy poor servant heal the man's wounds!"

Healing Word 10, on the farmer.

Can he get an attack with his mace before general combat begins?

There's a gout of flame that as it flickers and fades, a bellowing cleric of Pelor charges through the last flickering flames, mace held high. The farmer is buoyed by the sudden arrival of help.

Trencher, after falling and therefore falling behind, finally catches up with the rest of the group.

Tandor rushes up to the nearest creature, mace smashing down, "Leave him be!"

Attack: 14 Damage: 4

((Sorry first semester exams week at the new job, so things kinda got lost in the shuffle.))

Tandor slams his mace into the nearest creature, who whirls about and snarls at him, the trio turning to deal with the new aggressor.
