Standing at the ticket booth, stood a relatively tall eladrin, with overly long ears, brown skin, and black, silky hair that sprouted flowers. Malendir wore a chain hauberk underneath a surcoat depicting the coat of arms of the Seelie Court. His shield hung casually at his back and his sword belt wrapped around his waist. He looked over at the others and gave a wary smile. He felt this uneasy feeling that he knew why the others were there, perhaps it was his intuition, or maybe something else. He liked to think it was his age and experience.
"It's been ages since I've been at this carnival," he said in an attempt to start conversation, "I almost completely forgot it was a thing."

Othorion Sarfir - Half-Drow Eldritch Knight - The Murder Court
Adorned in black robes is a fairly pale elf but features more otherworldly. Elven ears but prominent pointy earlobes. The robe itself shimmers silver under certain light. Light blue hair and dark blue eyes darts every which way. He's holding a book with a chain dangling. At the end of the chain there is a small white orb with a flat silver crescent fused along with it. The crescent connects to a chain which to be attached the spine of the book. He is vigorously writing in this dark leather bound book. He lines up to the ticket booth as his eyes dart back and forth looking at every detail of his surroundings.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
A middle-aged human with short graying hair, he wears green traveler's clothes and a backpack that holds all of his belongings. In his hands he holds a staff which he walks with; belying appearances he has quite the vigor in his step. Adorned on his left hand is a signet ring.
"It has been a long time since I last been here. I wonder what I'll encounter today?"

A very serene-looking Loxodon is standing near the ticket booth studying a nearby tree with intense fascination. He is wearing blue and white robes with a knobbly wooden staff in one hand and a briefcase in the other and has his face pushed up almost entirely to the tree. He pokes at it experimentally with his trunk before his attention is dragged away by something even more fascinating...grass. Kneeling down he runs his hands over it before apparently noticing that others standing the queue may be looking at him funnily. He stands and says gravely to the human, elf and eladrin that seem to be standing together in a loose group:
"Those who find beauty in all of nature will find themselves at one with the secrets of life itself. Hello, I am Gaja. How very exciting to be back at this Carnival."
DM - I started this module once before with this character, but we only got to the first carnival exhibit before the game ended. I already rolled on the lost things table for that game and the result really suited Gaja so may I keep it? It was "you have lost the ability to smile". If not, no worries, here is my roll. 2
A silver statue of a dancing faerie is mounted on the roof of this ticket booth and surrounded by fluttering butterflies. The booth is decorated with an animated depiction of the night sky, with shooting stars arcing across it.
An elderly goblin perches behind the ticket counter, peering at you quizzically through a spyglass. He lowers the spyglass and calls out to you: “Greetings, fair fairgoers!”
Using an ear horn to hear you, and an eye glass to see you, the goblin says "Normally, it would be 8sp for an adult, and 3sp to a child, but thanks to an anonymous benefactor, your tickets have already been payed for."
Malendir gives the goblin a funny look, especially with the ear horn. Our voices can't be that low, he thinks to himself and looks over at the others, especially at the elf who had just spoken. "Seems this is going to be a paid for trip," he says, "I don't think I like that much, but what can you do. I'm Malendir by the way."

I place my ink pen into the book I was writing in, shut it, and then put out my hand, "I'm Rafell. It's nice to meet you. And yes, I would like to know who our benefactor."
I look to the goblin, "Can you tell us who paid our way?"
