Icarus runs straight through the obstacle with no problem, and Kiki isn't far behind. Zoide almost makes it but puts a foot out of bounds at the last moment trying to dodge an explosion, and an academy attended blows a whistle and signals for him to go back to the starting line. Da'Kal and Yaris are both unlucky and are knocked down by blasts right in front of them; Da'Kal's hard carapace protects her but Yaris takes [roll]2[roll] thunder damage; both are helped to their feet and directed to try again by attendants. [Zoide, Yaris and Da'Kal try your Con save again]
Icarus and Kiki now face the second obstacle: you must leap between a series of platforms levitating over a pool of water. across the surface of which you can see arcing blue lines of electricity. [Icarus and Kiki make a DC10 Athletics or Acrobatics check]
Progress: 01234 Da'Kal x Icarus xx Kiki xx Yaris x Zoide x
OOC: This is hard to do when we are not in-person (response time). Is there a way I can make a roll or do a Help Action to assist anybody who fails?
[Yeah. In a real time game we'd be going turn by turn in initiative, I'm going round-by-round to try to minimize the PbP latency, but the retry mechanic is still kinda painful. I'll say yes you can forego your own attempt in a given round to use the Help action instead, and for PbP efficiency you can Help a character that already missed their check/save in that round and roll the second d20 on their behalf. And, since I hadn't really explained it all that well, I'll give you that first Help for free, and Yaris succeeds]
Icarus leaps across the platforms so effortlessly that you're not entirely sure he didn't cast some kind of teleportation spell. Kiki also flies across, gliding to the end mere moments after the elf. They now face the third station: Swing on a rope from one platform to another, through a complex series of maces attached to spinning wheels. [Make a DC 12 Dex save]
Yaris almost takes another fall right at the end of the first obstacle, but a steadying hand from Da'Kal keeps him upright and they both join Zoide in front of the second station. [DC10 Athletics or Acrobatics]
Progress: 01234 Da'Kal xx Icarus xxx Kiki xxx Yaris xx Zoide xx
Yaris gratefully accepts Da'Kal's hand "Thank you, let's see if we can catch up" feeling slightly embarrassed, he sees that this group are working together, he will keep this in mind and make sure to return the favour when he can.
He looks at the next part of the obstacle course and feels this is more to his abilities, he is nimble and agile, this should go well. Acrobatics: 21

Kiki can't quite avoid the maces and has to try again; meanwhile Da'Kal, Yaris and Zoide all make it across the platforms and are about to take their first try at the maces. [That's DC12 Dex saves for everyone]
Yaris easily swings through the obstacle, avoiding all the maces. So does Kiki on her second try, warmed up to it now. Da'Kal makes it through a little behind them, and Zoide has a few close calls with a mace but manages to hang on. Icarus almost makes it, but at the last moment can't quite stick the landing. [I think that was only Icarus's first try, so just try again and if you beat the 12 go straight on to the next roll]
The final challenge looms before most of the group: climb a tall pole, slicked with grease, and ring the gong placed at the top. [DC10 Athletics check, please]
Con save: 16
