Gnash salutes the Pharaoh and quickly makes for the exit. Seeing the gathering group outside he will march over and say, "It appears we will be serving together on this task. I find in situations like this it is best to be clear up front. Know that while this fellowship holds true I will work to defend you all as if you were the queen herself. However, if you attempt to betray the group, this city, or her majesty I will not hesitate to bring everything I have against you. Now, someone said they are familiar with the way to our first destination?" Gnash meets them all with an even gaze as he says this and then does his best to flash a companionable smile, a hard thing to pull off with so many predatory looking teeth.
Khaddim knows that his words are false, at least when he speaks about preotecting slaves (at least that's what he belives). "He'll probably will put us on the front lines so if someone dies, it will be us". But even with that, the Half orc smiled timidly "Thank you sir, I'll do the same. And I betrail is not a word that I know...it's just a figurative speech, just to clarify" said with a small chuckle. "I know the direction to go to get to the sphinxes, but to a certain extent. I've only been in the beginning of the desert, but I always saw the piramids and many creatures far into the desert."added while pointing the direction to go.
Coming out after the crocodile, the tiefling says "Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Can we go already?"
Khaddim looked at the Tiefling a little bit confused and slightly anoyed by his nonchalant and somewhat "I'm superior than all of you" behavior "I guess so...?" answered while looking at everyone expecting an answer.
For those of you outside, this is the scene you see before you.
Making your way out of the palace, you find yourselves on the streets of the city again. Given that it is late afternoon, and the sector you are in is a mostly residential one, there are very few people about. The clean, beautifully lined streets are empty save for a few young elvish women, giggling to each other as a goliath slave behind them carries their shopping - fine silks and such other goods. Further down the road you catch a glimpse of a male elf and half elf racing on what look to be two highly unusual horses. The elf’s steed seems to be entirely made of water (think frozen two water spirit) and the half elf’s steed is entirely made of shadows, its mane crafted from fire, which seems to be the wilder of the two. The boys blow kisses to the elvish maidens as they speed past, which only initiates more giggles.
Nearby there is a sign with directions. North - the palace. North east - El Dsri. South - the central fountain. South - the lonely pyramid and desert expanse. South west - the merchant quarter. South east - Horus’s bridge.

The longer I interacted with the others, the more the feeling crept on me that our group was not granted the boon of smooth teamwork. Miss Yurime seemed to be actively afraid of some of the others whilst the Tiefling, Three was his rather unusual name, came across positively disinterested in the whole affair. The slaves found themselves in an uneasy position. Perhaps I should stop referring to them as such as being on this very mission had already granted them a certain reprieve from their usual station but it was that very same reprieve that made them feel awkward dealing with others.
Then there was the crocodile man who, in my modest opinion, was the worse of the lot. He had already himself the leader of our little expedition, I was not against that if not the others would make worse leaders, but he had immediately styled himself as someone who needed to command through fear. It was in the interest of everyone, ourselves included, to see this endeavour to its best possible conclusion yet he spoke of betrayal like he already expected it. How did that old adage go again? Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. And suffering was the fuel that stoked the flames of revolution. He would do well to remember that. And as to his threat of bringing everything he had against us: I counted five of us against the one of his.
But it was not my place to openly question authority at this time and place. The land took precedent and our course was clear: the desert and the sphinxes that dwelt within. Our brisk walk out the palace and into the residential areas had brought us to a crossroads. Before I could read the sign posted near my eye got caught by the sight of animals most exotic. Two horses galloped down the road: one of shadows and flame, the other of pure water. The former seemed excessive, the latter a waste but they were exquisite to behold nonetheless. With effort I tore my gaze away from them to take a closer look at the sign.
'To the south would be our best option.'I told the others and pointed out the direction. 'We could pass the merchant quarter if there is a need to stock up on supplies. The desert is unforgiven of those who are ill prepared to cross her.'
The tiefling appears behind the half-orc and goliath, drapping his arms over their shoulders, and hugging them in tight.
"So how are my fellow slaves doin'?"
The words coming out of his mouth sound almost jokingly, but from the tone of his voice, you can tell he's just jolly, not mocking.
He felt awkward by the odd actions of the Tiefling. He was a very strange individual, treating the slaves like friends of the same social status. But at the same time, the frase "fellow slaves" sounded like if he was a slave, which didn't make sense to him "Am... we are doing fine, right?" answered while looking at Rohar a bit confused.
'To the south would be our best option.'I told the others and pointed out the direction. 'We could pass the merchant quarter if there is a need to stock up on supplies. The desert is unforgiven of those who are ill prepared to cross her.'
He then looked at Rashaken immobilised by Three's hug since he didn't know how to act with his action. "Yeah, that seems smart. I don't have money, but as for the moment I don't think I need anything either." said still in an awkward position.
"Th. Thank you. Three isn't it. Yes Rashaken, I do beleive I am the best I have ever been." She says to Rashaken with a hugh smile. She looks at Three. "Thank you for asking, I am so eager to go adventuring, but please forgive me if I do it wrong."
"Supplies, oh my. I didn't think about supplies. I have never bought anything." How do you get money?
'To the south would be our best option.'I told the others and pointed out the direction. 'We could pass the merchant quarter if there is a need to stock up on supplies. The desert is unforgiven of those who are ill prepared to cross her.'
"Uh yes as Shaki- I... I... MEANT Rashaken suggests, w... w... we should head to the merchants and prepare ourselves first." She quivers. "If it helps Rohar and Khaddim (I think?) I could use my money to help buy for your necessities for the mission. I haven't spent any of my money since we came here and the thought of hoarding too much gold from my work seems to fill me with unease, especially around you guys."
What's going on inside her head is in the spoiler:Again!!! What is this mood?!! And what the hell did I just say?! What if they ask for stuff I can't even buy?! What about your own items?! What are you gonna get other than a new, more adaptable disguise?! Get a hold of yourself Yuri! Has your logic gone down the drain???!!
Upon the slaves weird answers Three state: "Yeah, I don't look like a slave and all, but I was sold to the queen as a baby by my mother. I am now her third best assassin, hence my name. Either way, she still technically owns me."
"Thank for understanding Rohar. I can tell we'll already be great friends!" He hugs you even tighter now, making your ribs slightly hurt, "Even though I might be a slave to the queen, I've got it better than most. I'm allowed free reign when not on a job, and when on a job, I can do whatever I want to achieve my goal, and then I get a day off!"
OOC: We do love a good SW reference! In terms of obtaining extra coin, Rohar, you could probably take some odd jobs or borrow money from the other party members, (for instance taking Yurime up on her offer)
"M..m... My pleasure", she replies nervously whilst giving a nervous smile and a little courtesy. Her youthful face is clearly sweating from trying to comprehend on how the team going to work together with all of these unfamiliar classes clumped as one.

When Three let go of him, he chuckled nervously at Gnash's comment and pointed his finger to the street to the South West "The merchant quarter are through here, follow me." said before starting to walk stopping every now and then to see if everyone was following him.
You follow the main road until you reach a beautiful fountain. From here, you easily find the streets branching out to the south west. As you do, the sun slowly begins to set and the city around you becomes more alive. You have left the noble quarter of Aldhahab, and are slowly starting to encounter the common folk as their working day ends and they join the streets, looking for a drink and a meal.

Deception: 15 (Game Log)
Gnash doesn't respond and shows no outward interest towards Three.
Khaddim knows that his words are false, at least when he speaks about preotecting slaves (at least that's what he belives). "He'll probably will put us on the front lines so if someone dies, it will be us". But even with that, the Half orc smiled timidly "Thank you sir, I'll do the same. Deception 2
Half orc monk Khaddim- Lost Mine of Phandelver (modern setting), Variant human ranger Frekor- The Darness Below, Half elf bard Callon, Aasimar life domain cleric/blood hunter Idris- Hunt for the 7, Tiefling warlock Charis- Ghosts of Saltmarsh, Goliath fighter Garrett- Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Rohar sees Grock extend his hand and stares at it for a second, unsure how to respond. She knows no other reaction than to mimic the movement.
"I salute you brother, we shall find glory and freedom together."
Her face hides none of her feelings as she meets each of the party.
As Gnash makes his speech, she thinks. 'Are all of his kind like this, the arrogance to think he should threaten them all.'
Then 3 speaks and she thinks. 'Honesty at least, horrible and rude, but direct and honest.'
So much to learn about free people and how they act. She thinks she will just mostly talk to the orc.
