Rohar tells Yurime.  "No, I would wait on the otheNo rs, I want to see what is on the other side as much as you do, but we should do it together."

Gnash steps towards Maat and silently bows his head in respect, struggling to keep himself from coughing up more sand.

(sorry for being inactive - I had a few IRL things that kept me busy)

Maat raises her paw, and summons bright, orange flame that she directs towards Gnash. However, the fire doesn't seem to hurt - the flames only burn away the rotted flesh where the mummy's curse had begun to spread, leaving nothing but a faint scar where the mummy had clawed his face. (She casted remove curse)

"Who's next?" Maat asks in a bored tone. "I don't want to spend all night on this."

Inside the pyramid, Yurime sees no real indication of where Deshret is, although it's obvious she isn't in this room. While investigating, it strikes Yurime that the damage done to this room is quite recent, which leads her to believe that the mummys where only recently awoken. She also spots something shining in the remains of the mummy that Seria killed. 

Khaddim walks towards Maat and kneels. "I am also aflicted by the curse. I will repay your kindness after we bring back your daughter." said while keeping his face to the ground.

"You're right, miss. It would be wrong to leave the boys behind. Especially when their safety comes first as much as the mission itself." Yuri beams at Rohar's selfless words. She was expecting the latter to let her proceed even though she never wanted to. So the idea of someone other than herself caring about the whole team's safety added a little warmth to the 9-tailed woman's heart.

Nevertheless, Yuri still kept searching for clues without any success, taking note of the.damages inflicted on these sacred walls until she saw a glint. "Hmm? What's this?" She mutters as she picks it up with her left hand.

"Bringing back my daughter is payment enough," Maat replies, before casting remove curse on Khaddim as well. As the flames burn away his rotting flesh, she whispers to him quietly: "You seem genuine, so I will offer you some wisdom - make sure your masters do not kill you. I know you slaves are always the first to be sacrificed in moments of great danger, and the severity of your wounds have not escaped my notice." As she says this, she casts guidance on the monk (which only lasts for a minute, BTW, so use it quick). 

Inside, Yurime picks up the metal object. It looks like the top half of a key, with a decorative loop at the top. 

Rohar moves over to Yurime when she says she found something.  "Oh, that looks like a key, or at least a part of one."

 Yuri gives off a slight, mouthless "Gack" as Rohar moved closer to her location whilst she was focused on examining the piece. "Uh... R-r-right. It's p-part of a k-k-ey... I wonder w-w-w-wherever the other part i-i-is..." She stammers, still trying to piece her words together from the giant's sudden appearance and scarmble for the broken piece that she pointed out. And then a memory flashes in her moment of panic...

"Oh yeah! You're right, miss... Umm... Yeah this is the second piece of the key that we need!" Yuri beams at Rohar as she finally understands what she relayed to her. She then excitedly takes the first piece that Khaddim kindly gave her from her cloak pocket. "Whoever came and broke this key in half, let alone this place, is a total scumbag" She snarls before chanting in a mix of Japanese and Korean on the key's broken halves and her clawed hands glowed pink as she hold the two broken ends together.(casting mending)

(Also, has it been more than 10mins already? Because if not, Rohar still has her BI from the previous fight.)

Inside her head: What was her name again? Not just her but the other lady's and the boys?

"Thank you for your kind words of concern great Maat, I intend to stay alive for long since my own freedom is the reward that I would obtain if we manage to end the crisis that befallen Aldhahab." replied the orc with an honest smile looking for the first time at the sphinx in her eyes. He then stands up and bows once more before looking at the rest of the group.

"Let's go find great Maat's daughter." said while jogging back to the room where they fought against the mummies waiting for them to join him.

Feeling the curse lift and his body return to proper fighting form Gnash will bow even lower before the creature. "I am indebted to you for this boon and will waste no more time in retrieving your daughter." With that he takes off after Khaddim back inside, ready to make good on that promise.

(it hasn't been more than ten minutes yet)

Gnash and Khaddim make their way back inside the pyramid. As they do, Yurime's magic weaves the broken pieces of the key together, restoring it's ability to function once more. 

(Posting ahead of time because of upcoming IRL schedules, especially the next six days, damn it...)
As soon as the kumiho mends the broken halves into a single, glittering key, her expression of annoyance is replaced by one full of joy, laughter and relief as she notices the male warriors returning to meet the three girls. "So good two to see you two fine and healthy again!" She giggles as she smiles and waves towards them. "I heard Maat's voice from inside here. Everything went alright? No troubles with her or something? Oh, by the way mister, I've fixed this." She holds the key that she received from Khaddim which is now fully mended. "Apparently, whoever came here before us had the audacity to snap this trinket in half and hide them inside the mummies that nearly rendered you two into dust..."

Hey. I'm on my alt account, because for some reason my normal one isn't working rn.

"I think we should take a quick rest before we move on. I suddenly have an idea for something that might aid me in what is to happen next, and I need some time to make it."

You may all benefit from the effects of a short rest. Let me know what else everyone is doing during this time. 

(Rolled two hit die and the 1d6 from Yuri for a total of +12 with modifiers bringing me back up to 30/36hp)

"Thank you Miss Yuri, I do feel myself once again." Gnash stretches and then sits to discuss the next plan of action as they rest. "It appears we have a key now thanks to you, although we should probably decide on our intent before proceeding. These men who took the child. Do we attempt to negotiate or, if possible, are we attacking immediately should we have the element of surprise? I believe Three may do his best work in such situations yes?" At this he turns to the Tiefling to hear his opinion on the matter.

"Although I do excel in hand-to-hand combat, I am not suited to fighting multiple enemies at once, and I almost always have time to plan my attack. The best plan of action would be to have one or two people sneak in, and survey the situation, and then come back with more information."

(Should have every conflicted stuff in me sorted by now. EDIT: NVM gonna be out again arrghh)

Yuri withdraws her flute into her bag once everyone else has peacefully rested and beams when Gnash appreciated what she played. As for the next move of the party... even she has no idea on how should they approach the next room even though she is the one holding the key. "I mean can open the door if we're ready to proceed... but I have this awful feeling that this room is worse than the one we are in right now. I'm not keen to facing more enemies since our previous encounter. Not in our current states. I was thinking that half of us could attack directly and the other half create a diversion and create a flank if there are people waiting to face us. But then again..." She shifts her fan in her left hand as she converses with the group, tempted to move on but also knowing how vulnerable her teammates are right now. "If Deshret is in there with them, she might be caught in the crossfire with nowhere to run when we do so. And we don't want her to be injured or dead do we...? If we're sending in people to scout ahead though is there anyone good enough to sneak into the next room? I could tag along if you want but I'm not really that stealthy..."

"I've been trained in the arts of 'sneaking' and am probably the most qualified candidate for the job."
