Storm grabs the hand with the dagger, wraps his other hand around the back of the Syndicate Leaders head and then uses his strength to plunge the Leaders own dagger into his throat.
OOC: I know Storms hands are full with sword and shield so what he does is purely narrative
We will stay in initiative order for now but the fighting is over for now.
The LT face winces a little as you let the choking SL slump to the ground. The crowd goes wild, cheering at the kill.
Aino you grab the sword and as you grab the Amulet the LT trys to warn you but is too slow. (Rolled a 5 for him). As you touch the amulet you get overwhelmed by hundreds of thoughts flooding your mind.
Aino uses her final (3rd of 3) re-roll die from her Lucky feat to re-roll her first low WIS save roll.
With her 2nd roll, gets a 1d20+9 + Bless + Aura = 19 + 9 + 1 + 5 = 34
With that done, Aino doesn't hand the amulet straight to Casey, not wanting Casey to have to make the save as well. She tries to get a feel for what the hundreds of connected minds are thinking and relays it to the group using Rary's Telepathic Bond.
You can't make it out it's just too much. So you fall back on your magic training and get a feel for the magic. (Rolled Arcane for you just to move things along)
You remember studying this artifact. You tell the party it's called the Amulet of the hive mind. Must have a 20 charisma or higher to use the Amulet. If a creature with less then 20 charisma touches the Amulet they must make a DC 20 wis save or fall unconscious. On a save they are not affected by the Amulet but still can't use it.
When a creature with a 20 or higher charisma has the Amulet they can hear the thoughts of those around them. Wearing the Amulet for 1 week raises your charisma by 1 to a mix of 30.
If the Amulet is attuned to the user they can expend charges to a max of 5 to do 1 of the following.
2 charges, summon all who have pledged themselves to you
1 charge command allies, anyone pledged to upu that can hear your voice takes an action of your choice if they are able. The command must be simple such as stop or attack.
Might have given you too much but this is my first item so ya know there it is
IC: Aino grins. She looks at both Casey and Storm.
"This is too much for a wizard like me, but I can see how it works. I think you two both have the strength of will and personality to wear it safely. Casey, I think you should take it. It might take you some time to attune to it. And the parts about summoning those pledged to you and commanding them might not apply because that's not how we operate, at least I don't think we do."
She proceeds to explain the above item details (from Bushawk's post 1430) to Casey and Storm.
Casey telepathically says to her crew. “thanks fer that- nice job wit this one! I’ll check that thing out when we’re done. Let’s hope we can end this. Give yer best impressive flexin and I’ll try to win over the crowd- and this army!”
Casey flies down to the syndicate leader’s broken body, and looks at him with disgust. Amplifying her voice with minor illusion, (can be as loud as a lion’s roar) she addresses the gathered army. Her spiritual weapon (glowing rapier) is still floating nearby. She sends up some sparks using prestidigitation to get everyone’s attention. Persuasion check with advantage from the others in the group: Natural 20+11 =31 (accidentally clicked performance, but I guess it could be a speaking performance too)
“ To those summoned here to fight us- The syndicate leader is dead. I understand ye pledged yer support to this guy. He weren’t worth it- he’s tried to blow us up- with his lieutenant right here. Anyone whot throws their friend into the fire cause they losin ain’t worth followin- your LT here knows it. And I respect ‘Em fer it. “ ( she nods respectfully to the LT) Ye knows who we are by now. The Last Copper. Yield, and we can all head to the pubs fer a pint. Better than that, if ye feel so inclined, join us in makin the city a better place fer all. Our battle was with this un. “ (here she nods in disgust and points her rapier at the SL’s body). “Anyone what puts away yer weapons is safe from us in this battle. If ye’d like to join our cause, just come on over. No hard feelins. We’d like to call it a day. Remember- yew can bet yer last copper on the last copper! “
The LT nods before speaking his voice also magically amplified.
She speaks the truth. The bastard dragged us all into this, and when backed into a corner he tried to kill us all. So I say the fight is over. As the senior officer I now claim leadership of the family.
I agree with these lapdogs of Garmuk we can make this city better but that prick and his lackeys are not the way. Let's go and rebuild our relationship with our city.
The army starts gathering. The other 2 LT speak up.
LT 2: Coward kill them already you know the deal.
LT 3: He is right you are not worthy of command. Last Copper punks kill that bastard and lower your wall and let's get back to it.
A rank and file member slits LT3 neck. My life is worth more then this fight. A few members around take his weapon and pin him down. A bit of chaos breaks out. Before calming back down.
DM: LT 1 also rolled a Nat 20. Because he is a member of the Syndicate he has advantage. LT 2 and 3 rolled a 9 and nat 1. Yalls rebuttal?
"All you rank and file are really ready to die for these worthless pieces of garbage ordering you around? If the roles were reversed, they would wipe you off their boots like yesterday's mud. As demonstrated by your fearless dead leader here ready to throw the LT's life away."
"You do not have to join Garmuk, but you cannot stay loyal to the Syndicate after what you have seen if you have a brain in your heads. There are two ways this goes. Either those of that aren't blinded by fanaticism disarm and incapacitate your LTs and other holdouts NOW," (referring to LT2 and other loyalists) "then throw down your weapons and surrender. OR we heal up behind the wall, then kill every single last one of you and call it a day. We'll be having a drink afterwards either way. Only difference will be whether all of your bloody entrails are spread around the arena for no good reason."
OOC: Sigh. I should have waited for @Tesservett (or @KaylonBalderk) to post. I just got impatient after half a day (real life) of no one posting and wanted to move things along, so I posted the speech as Aino. Which is stupid. Casey or maybe Storm should do all the talking, not Aino. My bad.
(Or at least for Casey to give Aino another Bardic Inspiration, which Aino has already used, along with her last Lucky die).
IC: Even with advantage from Storm's help, Persuasion for Aino: 10
(Edited to add: of course, after rolling it, I'd prefer that Storm roll intimidation separately! Didn't see that option until after I rolled.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
DM: it's fine all 3 of yall are working together to make the case. Storm an still roll same for Casey with advantage just RP it.
After Aino's speech some in the crowd are starting to take sides. Battle lines are being drawn.
LT will speak up again.
Those loyal to me let's the the fools die and we will rebuild a better city for the people.dont trade one fool of a leader or another follow me for now and live then we will create our own console together.
Going to roll infront of the table for this one so to speak
Ok so he gave a good speech most of the army has given up the fight but not all. Storm and Casey will go then I'll let you know how man remain for the hack and slash.
Storm looks out and points his sword. “You all have followed a false leader! You saw us dispatch your leader in less than a minute, with minimal effort. We have plenty of firepower left for all do you if need be. The Syndicate has committed many crimes and I would relish the opportunity to seek vengeance upon those that have committed them. Lay down your weapons and atone for your crimes, ask this city and it’s people for forgiveness and you will be spared.”
Casey gets a 17 on her persuasion. “I can’t believe ye’d risk yer lives for this fool. Ye saw how quick the Syndicate Leader went down- This guy’s next on Death’s list. All those what fight fer us ‘ave me respect. Let’s make it quick, I’m gettin thirsty from all this talk”.
(OOC: I just realized I should have waited for Storm to narrate the big final blow where he finishes the SL. Go for it @Kaylon!)
Tanis(Ranger1): Shiverquill's Tempest City | Xarian(Fighter2): NioNSwiper's Tyranny of Dragons
Dyson/Eleo(TwilightCleric4): Vos' Beyond the Veil | Soren(ShepherdDruid5): Bartjeebus' Ravenloft | Ophelia(WildMagicSorcerer4): Ashen_Age's Risen from the Sands

Make a persuasion or intimidation. Roll
OOC: If intimidation can Storm help with the roll? He wishes to growl and have wisps of flames and smoke start to come out of his open mouth.
Of course, I would also allow a separate intimidation roll rom Strom after the display

Quite A few more join the side of the non combatants fear in there eyes
Add 4 to that 13 for 17 total.
Used the bardic inspiration.
Casey gives aino another bardic inspiration, giving her a wink and a grin. “Ready fer some more fun?”
