As the somewhat battered fiend turned it’s one focusing eye on Akaas, necrotic energy swirled around him but caused no damage. The villain switched its crawling attacks aged warrior.
Attack: 14 Damage: 6
Attack: 20 Damage: 6
First claw misses but the second hits causing 6 damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hearing the creature's plea in his mind, Akaas decides to try to grapple it instead of attacking. He's going to attempt to move behind it and use his staff to hold it from behind in a kind of choke hold.
Here's my straight roll in case it's just strength: 16
If I can use acrobatics, it's +5. If it's athletics, it's only +2.
The door opens onto a five-foot-wide landing fifteen feet above a large cellar, with stone steps descending to the floor in two short flights. Another door stands beneath the stairs to the north (right). A large stone cistern occupies the western part of the room, whose walls are lined with kegs and barrels.
This room appears to be a large storage cellar, exactly the sort of thing one might expect to find beneath an old manor.
The barrels contain salted pork and beef, flour, sugar, apples, and ale. Moving barrels around was handled with a high level of stealth. Very little noise by your group.
Cistern. This rectangular reservoir is clean and filled with cold, fresh water. It is 10 feet deep with a rim 2 feet higher than the surrounding floor (so that the bottom of the cistern is 8 feet below the floor). Drain pipes from the roof of the old manor above fill the cistern with water.
Ian has spotted a waterproof satchel hanging from a submerged rope attached along the south wall of the cistern, about 2 feet below the surface of the water. It’s not visible to the other characters. The satchel hidden in the cistern is waterproof and contains a potion of healing, a potion of invisibility, 50 gp, and a clean set of ordinary travel clothing.
Secret Door. A secret door is located in the southwest corner of the room.
The door straight ahead of you is closed but Ian thinks he hears sounds of people sleeping in the room.
OOC: There are 3 doors in this room. One straight ahead with sounds of sleeping, a secret door to the left of the cistern and a door leading up to the right.

Boghadair enters the cellar with bow and arrow at the ready. He sets himself up to provide cover fire for Ian when he enters the other room. Boghadair gives a nod to Ian.
This appears to be a storeroom pressed into service as living quarters. Two double bunks stand against the wall near the door, while barrels and crates fill the southern half of the chamber. Three Redbrand ruffians are resting in this room. They are completely surprised by Tyrus rushing into the room. Their weapons are slung on the bead. They are all at a disadvantage and will not be able to attack for one full round of attacks. The order of attack will be based upon order entering the room. Tyrus used his attack by entering the room and causing his disruption. Ian will attack first , then Boghadair, then Arafiel. Tyrus will be able to attack after the Redbrands. The order will continue the same their after.
