The three human captives imprisoned here are Mirna Dendrar and her two teenage children, thirteen-year-old Nars and eighteen-year-old Nilsa. A few days ago, the Redbrands murdered Mirna’s husband, Thel, for defying them. That night, the gang returned and abducted the family from their home in Phandalin. The gang plans to sell the family into slavery.
The Dendrars are grateful to the characters for rescuing them, but they can’t provide much information about the Redbrand hideout. All they know is that the boss is a wizard (though they haven’t met him and don’t know his name), and that he has “tall, furry monsters with big ears” (bugbears) working for him.
Though her family has nothing to offer as a reward, Mirna tells the characters that she might know where a valuable heirloom is hidden. When she was a young girl, she and her family fled from the town of Thundertree after undead overran the place. Her family had an herb and alchemy shop, inside which a case containing an emerald necklace was hidden beneath a section of storage shelves. She never dared to return and retrieve it. The shop was in the southeast part of Thundertree.
Droop finally speaks up when the group talks about where to go next. “Dddooonnt gggoo ddoown tthhe oootheer hhhhaalll wway.... nnooo oonee eeever. Gggooees tthaat wway.”

Ian helps the woman and her children out the secret entrance and down to the inn where they are staying. I will also go back to Barthen’s provisions to see if I can borrow/ rent/ buy a wagon for all our stuff.
Thanks Boghadair... I think we should sell anything not useful to the others. If someone wants one of the special items, we just figure out what it is worth and subtract it from their total.
I would like one of the spears and some more arrows. What I really need is not in the treasure. Maybe later in the adventure.
"I was going to suggest selling off whatever we do not want, or need. The proceeds goes towards our group funds. If anybody ever needs a little extra to purchase something they can borrow it from there. It could also go towards group expenses whenever they arise."Boghadair suggests.
"The only catch to this idea, is that I feel we should come up with a name for our little group."
ooc: i’m interested in that staff the wizard almost killed me over. the sword i found in the crevice is up for grabs if anyone wants it. otherwise it would probably have a fair amount of value. other then that i mainly just take some arrows and quarrles to replentish any I used.
"I have no interest in these items personally. The coin to purchase what I want is good enough for me right now. I think that I shall go shopping whenever we return to a city that has a larger variety of items available for sale. "

"Thagakh would like to have 2 quivers containing a total of 40 crossbow bolts please.
Also a red robe, it complements Thagakh's outfit. Thagakh just need to wash the smell off."
The half-orc smells himself for a bit.
"Probably Thagakh too."
those magic components look interesting, as far as anything else whatever the party decides

Can anyone examine the items for magical properties?
sure it will take me about 10 min to detect for magic
ooc: GM
1 can do a ritual spell for detect magic then 1 for identify (to make it "official" since you named the items :)

The sword and staff are the only magical items, except for the potions and scrolls .
All of the other items are just of varying values.
To use the scrolls or staff would require the ability to cast those spells.

Boghadair splits up the coin to all.
"Everybody gets the following:
57 gp, 3 ep, 139 sp, 10cp
Ian gets the following:
58 gp, 4 ep, 74 sp, 15 cp.
It is an even split with a 5cp tip to Ian for the unexpected maneuver of man handling the Redbrands into the room where we could all pitch in."
Barthen has a wagon for sale for 30 gold or he will allow the team to borrow it for the day at no charge.
