...and after each of you have rolled seven times, Broon comes up with the first roll of '9". As you might expect, he laughs and expresses his hope that you'll play another round. "Give it another go, Xellos? I'll tell you what. You win this round and I'll throw in a glass o' Sham's whisky."
Ozum will get another drink and some of the rabbit stew while listening to everyone's conversation. After a little while he stands and says "This has been a wonderful evening, but I want to get an early start tomorrow. Please excuse me, have a good night." He will then make his way over to Pom and ask for directions to the room and settle up his tab before retiring for the night.

"Each of us have a story, don't we, Xellos? My story has two chapters to it. Chapter 1 was working on a ship while living on a ship. Chapter 2 is working on ships while living here in Talisten. That's the easy way of saying it, Xellos." He then rolls the dice...
Xellos grumbles and says, "It appears luck is not on my side tonight Broon. I better stop before I lose all of my coin. So you're a shipwright? Have any good stories on the seas before I retire for the evening? I only just arrived via ship so I don't know much about them. Other than they make my stomach turn inside out."

He continues his story. "Was a crew member on 'The Albatross' for a few years and didn't think I'd ever do much else. I did alright for myself sailing place to place. Then one day, my crewmates and I sail to Syndaris and my story takes a bit of a twist. Cap'n Stimmel tells me and the boys we're takin' a break to have some minor renovations done on "The Albatross." So, I think to myself that I have some time to see what life is like on shore for a few days. So, I start livin' it up a little bit here in Talisten. Next thing I know Cap'n Stimmel's dead and "The Albatross" is the center of some rich folks' argument that's going before a magistrate. A few weeks later, there's a new captain and a new crew, and I wasn't one of 'em. So here I am nearly twelve years later."
He pauses, grins, and scoops up the silver pieces he just won.
"And now, Xellos, I live in Talisten but still work on ships that need repairs of any sort when they moor up in Talisten. Rope, sails, rigging, you name it, and I'll do it. I have shop in south Talisten. The work's not steady, so I supplement when I can with a bit dice rolling. Thanks for contributing to the cause." He smiles again. "Well, thanks for the game and the chat, sir. Maybe I'll have the pleasure of passing an hour with you again at some time in the future."
Frandal calls it a night and proceed with it as planned. Bath, dinner, and good rest first in the common room having dinner and then in his fancy and comfortable room.
Xellos stands up and says, "A pleasure Broon, perhaps I'll win my coins back next time! I'll stop in your shop sometime. Pleasant evening to you."He bows and heads upstairs to his room. Shortly after, he takes a bath to wash the salty air off of him, gives his clothes a quick clean, and prepares for bed.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, he takes out the trinket Sib gave him, waves his hand over it and casts Detect Magic to see if it has any historical, religious, or arcane properties. As well as trying to figure out what it is.
I already rolled for it earlier in the crossed out spoiler, so if you want I can use those rolls, or a new set. Whichever works
Four silver for the room, one silver for the meal, and one silver for both drinks. Six total. Once everyone tells me they're going to bed, we'll start the next day of the adventure. The rest of the evening and the night will pass without incident.
The trinket emits the tell-tale aura that some sort of abjuration is at work. A more thorough description of the trinket: it's a very short, squatty cylinder, broader than it is tall. You're unable to tell which flat circular surface is the top or bottom, and there's a very faint line/seam around the cylinder at the half-way point between top and bottom. You're certain that you should be able open the trinket in some way. No need to roll again. (And, yes, the dice do seem to hate you!)
"They were all fine children and I wish the Morninglord's light to be upon you and keep you safe," Alora replies to Garret.
Alora orders a meal and a mug of ale. She eats her meal hungrily having not had much of an appetite aboard the ship and observes the sights and the sounds of the inn around her. She listens to Arissa's tales before feeling her eyes grow heavy. Excuse herself to their shared room she wishes the party a good nights rest. She asks to join Kurt, Ozum, and Arissa if they're going to the tournament in the morning but does not linger long for their reply. Alora settles her bill before asking for the key to her room intent on retiring for the evening.

" I should head upstairs and sleep as well, have a busy day tomorrow. Ozum your welcome to share my room if you need to. I know the inn is crowded tonight. We could even split the cost" Kurt ends the sentence in a hopeful question.
DM just let me know the cost to deduct for the room for 2 days or as long as the turnament lasts plus one night. If Ozum agrees we split the cost.

The halflings happily oblige for another hour or so, but they also choose to retire for the evening. They look forward to seeing you tomorrow and wish you the best of success in the tournament. After their departure, you're able to chat for a while with a human female named Dani. The bulk of the conversation covers the ordinary, but some of the discussion touches on the WIndhovers. She is able to fill in a few gaps that the halflings omitted.
Dani tells you that the story about the four original Windhovers includes some sort of magical event in which they heard a voice coming from their campfire the night before the great battle against Rahzzur. That voice--or the person behind the voice--was the one responsible for the magic weapons wielded by the Windhovers. No one really knows for sure whose voice it was.
And ever so carefully, quietly, and clandestinely, you sneak into your room unnoticed.
The night passes without incident and day two is just about to begin.
Nothing of consequence occurs for the remainder of the evening. And the night passes without incident. And we can continue to use PM's for addressing the brass trinket if you wish.
