Ozum fiddles with the bow and thinks to himself "I knew I should have learned to shoot one of these when I was younger." He glances at the tiefling who also seems to be struggling and nods with a smile. He is surprised by the strangers near perfect grouping and sets his sights on his target.

Xellos waits for the others to finish. He messes with the bow string in nervousness then nods in greeting to the elf he saw last night at Sham's as he looks at the elf's superb grouping. 

He notices a gnome greeting him and says to him, "Beginner's luck for me. Not familiar with bows either?"

Alora steps up to the fire line. She looks to the sky with the sunlight on her face she says a prayer to the Morninglord letting the first of the arrows fly followed by the quick succession of the others.

 Going back from the fire line, Frandal sees the Tiefling he saw yesterday at Sham’s and he nods at him. “Good luck!” He says giving back the shortbow and putting back his bracers as he waits for the other contendants to fire. 

The final totals for the archery contest will be announced soon. In the meantime, the next contest commences...

JUGGLING

• Each contestant will juggle three apples while standing on a barrel lying on its side.
• An official time keeper will record the number of seconds that pass until the contestant either drops an apple or falls off the barrel.

Here’s how your character’s abilities, skills, and proficiencies—along with your dice rolls—will be used to generate a score for your character in the juggling contest:

• You will begin with a base number, which is simply your character’s raw DEX score x 2 (no modifiers)
• You will then roll 1d20 and make an Acrobatics check (including any modifiers that would apply)
• Add the result of the die roll to the base number, and this sum will represent the number of seconds your character successfully juggled the three apples.
• Players and NPC’s who are tied in this competition will compete again to break the tie.

Garrett Goodbarrel  (DEX 16; Acrobatics +3) takes three apples in hand, steps on to the tipped-over barrel and begins to juggle...

Frandal steps on the barrel, checks his balance and nods to the time keeper. At her signal he commences to juggle the three appels.

Arissa stays juggling for 44 seconds before falling off the barrel into the mud.

"Haha, that was fun!" 

Xellos says to the elf, "I'll need it after your archery performance. Have that drink later?"

He hands the bow back and goes over to the apple juggling station. Grabbing a red, green, and yellow apple, Xellos has a look of embarrassment on his face then begins... (+3 acrobatics)

He takes extra care to not drop the apples when his skill expires to avoid bruising them.

"After that astonishing performance you can count on it!" he says with admiration in his voice to the tiefling when he ends the jugglin test. "First round on me!"

Morindak the dwarf (DEX 14; Acrobatics +2 takes three apples in hand, steps on to the tipped-over barrel and begins to juggle...

(14 x 2) + 16 = 44 seconds later he lands face first in the dirt. 

Indira (DEX 13; Acrobatics +1 takes three apples in hand, steps on to the tipped-over barrel and begins to juggle...

(13 x 2) + 4 = 30 seconds later she drops an apple.

Three more contestants step forward to take their turn at juggling and potentially becoming a cause for laughter...

Jerrick (DEX 11; Acrobatics +0): (11 x 2) + 2 = 32 seconds

Renzor Smythe (DEX 15; Acrobatics +2): (15 x 2) + 11 = 51 seconds

Gohdrin Ray (DEX 17; Acrobatics + 4) : (17 x 2) + 22 = 51 seconds

After Alora takes a comic bite out of one of the apples and takes a bow, Tarnie, Mazy, and Tam erupt with laughter and applause.

"oho, juggling, I'm pretty good at this"

Ozum turns back to the tiefling after his volley with an astonished look. "Wow, I was expecting that to go much worse. I can't remember the last time I held a bow." He looks around to find the barrels and apples and heads over. "Good luck on the rest of the events. Maybe I'll see you afterwards friend."

He hops on the barrel and begins juggling. He is a bit wobbly but manages to stay on 34 seconds before tumbling to the ground.
