"As far as the Windhovers are concerned, Frandal and I tried inquiring about them as well..."
Sorry, I forgot about this, but Xellos would have wondered if there was any significance to the tabby cat earlier on after the prizes were handed out or if it was just a stray.
Go ahead and explain the Rope of Climbing to Ozum.
Regarding the cat, I'll put it this way: Two guards and one Windhover entered the tent. Two guards and one cat exited the tent.
It seems the dice don't hate you anymore.
You notice the other barmaid--the one with whom you spoke about your bottle of "wine"--approaching your table. She's carrying a bottle of wine with her...
To Ozum, "All you do is tell the rope a command and the other end will move towards where you tell it like a snake. It can also knot itself to make an excellent climbing rope. It's quite resilient as well, much stronger than a normal rope."
Xellos says to the group, "Now that I think of it did you all notice that cat in the tent...it seemed out of place."
Looking toward Xellos in bewilderment, Ozum looks at his rope. "Huh, I had no idea, that could certainly be good if I need to drag something around. I think I remember seeing that cat though, did it look like this?" He will wild shape into his best approximation of the cat from the end of the ceremonies.
Xellos waves the familar barmaid over to the table. "Good evening, glad to see you again. I heard you might have more information about the wine label I showed you yesterday? Oh...and more wine? It can't possibly be the same kind. Please, take a seat with us if you have a few moments."

One of The Singing Fire barmaids approaches your table, and you notice that she carries a bottle of wine in her hands. She approaches Xellos and rather excitedly says, "Sir, I knew that bottle of wine you were drinking last night seemed familiar. But, as you know, I just couldn't place it. Couldn't recall anything about it. Then, wouldn't you know it? I was in the wine cellar earlier today, and I saw this!" She then sets the bottle in her hands on the table in front of Xellos. "That's the same label, if I'm not mistaken. Correct? Unfortunately, I can't read it."
Kurt and Ozum:
Not only does Ozum pull off an excellent rendition of the tabby cat you saw earlier today, but both of you immediately notice that the wording on the label on the bottle of wine is in Gnomish. Translated to Common it reads as follows:
Wyrwood Vineyard
Rusnith Red
189 | 4
Xellos:
The label is nearly identical to the one on your bottle. Your bottle's label has three lines of text in Dwarvish script, and the first two lines do indeed match identically. The third line of text, however, is different. It seems rather obvious that both bottles originated in the same place.
"Quite interesting. What were the odds?" says Frandal when the barmaid brings the second bottle. He wants to talk about the Windhovers but he doesn't want to do it in front of the barmaid.
And his curiosity is certanly picked by the strange wine.
Arissa says to Ozumcat "Very impressive! I did not know you had the power to do that." She thinks for a moment, then continues. "You don't think that cat might have been Sariel, do you? Only if you can do that, than certainly one as powerful as a Windhover would be able to do so as well..."

Ozumcat will nod toward Arissa. He will then return to his gnomish form, "I think you are probably correct." He grabs the bottle in from of Xellos and turns it toward the barmaid. "I believe I can help with this. The language is gnomish. The first line appears to be wine's producer Wyrwood Vineyard, the second looks like variety Rusnith Red, the last might be the vintage but I'm not sure. It says 189|4."He will contemplate the wine briefly.
The barmaid doesn't know whether to be amused or troubled by Ozum's change of appearance. She looks at everyone else at the table as if to gauge your level of acceptance regarding Ozum's behavior, but after listening to Ozum's translation of the bottle's label, she chimes in with some information of her own. "Wyrwood Vineyard, eh? I wasn't aware that any wine was being made on that part of the island, but , truth be told, I've never been north of the Corvus Mountains. So that might explain why I've never heard of that particular vineyard. Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure that your bottle of wine"--and she looks at Xellos as she says this--"is from the same place. Hope that helps solve the mystery for you."
She then runs off to take care of some other customers.
Ozum:
You're uncertain about the significance of the number 189, followed by a 4.
Xellos says, "Wait, are you a cat that changes into a gnome, or a gnome that changes into a cat?" He's quite puzzled and not sure what to think, but is not frightened, more curious.
He also takes out his original wine bottle and says, "Does anyone read Dwarvish? Maybe this label will help."He shows it to them. "This is not for drinking though. Trust me."His tone is quite serious with the last line.

Because both of you understand Gnomish, you can see that Xellos' bottle of wine is labeled in Gnomish (which uses the Dwarven script) rather than Dwarvish. The bottle that Xellos holds is very similar, but NOT identical, to the bottle that the barmaid brought to the table. As already pointed out by Ozum, the barmaid's bottle reads Wyrwood Vineyard, Rusnith Red, 189|4. Xellos' bottle, however, reads Wyrwood Vineyard, Rusnith Red, Ruins 3.
"Some days I feel like a gnome and some days I feel like a cat." Ozum winks at Xellos.
"It's not actually Dwarvish, Gnomish just uses a Dwarvish script. It's like how Halfling uses the same script as Common. Your bottle seems to say the same, Wyrwood Vineyard, Rusnith Red, but instead of those strange numbers your bottle says Ruins 3." All this being said, I do not know enough about wine to give you any useful information."
As all of you continue to talk and enjoy your midday meal and the warmth of the fire, you notice the weather has worsened. The sound of the rain beating against the window panes has grown slightly more pronounced, and new guests arriving at The Singing Fire are increasingly more rain-soaked than those who arrived earlier. It seems doubtful that the play, or any other outdoor events, will take place this evening.
The young musician who has been seated by the fireplace begins to play a tune that causes the dwarves who are seated near you to pause their game of cards temporarily. Their deep, hearty voices begin to sing in harmony with the notes pouring from the young man's flute. Eventually a few other voices also join in:
From the ashes of this fire, let Talisten take fair Aeris.
Though he alone will carry it, all four will share its power.
Certain of the outcome you will enter evil’s bower
And free your land and people from this dire hour.
To the ashes of this fire, you shall then return fair Aeris.
Eat and drink and raise your songs around the fire’s light.
Drink and dance and sing with joy, O victors of the fight!
And let fair Aeris in the flames smolder ever bright!
It is a song of celebration and victory, which you can clearly sense from its words and upbeat tempo and happy melody. As the song comes to an end, one of the dwarves calls to the flute-player, "Again, young one! Let's have that song one more time!" The musician obliges, and the voices in The Singing Fire are raised even higher. Afterward, the mood in the inn somehow seems a bit lighter and more festive, as if that one song had, for a short while anyway, shaken off the gloominess created by the unpleasant weather and the unexplained absences of three Windhovers.
Shortly after the outburst of song, a man well along in years approaches your table and rather unexpectedly says, "Good afternoon and happy festival to you." He has a sincere-looking smile on his face as he purposely makes eye contact with each of you. He is a human male, and you estimate he is 60 years old. He is old but not elderly. He is alert and energetic, and the fact that he has been saturated by the rain does not seem to trouble him. He holds a pint of ale in one hand, and you can see the glint of a chain mail shirt under his thick, faded grey cloak. Additionally, the pommel of a shortsword is visible near his left hip.
He introduces himself. "I am Ardavi Limroff, and it is my great fortune to have found all five of you together, in the same place, at the same moment!" He pulls up a nearby chair and seats himself at your table, not waiting for an invitation to do so. "I pray you will pardon my interruption, but..." --he leans in as he continues to speak--"...but Sariel Sunshimmer has asked me to contact all of you. She is very much hoping to meet with you later this evening." He then takes a large swig of ale before continuing. "Your performance in the Tournament of Talisten and your recent good deeds in the streets of this city have caught Sariel's attention it seems, and she would like to invite all of you to dine with her at the Chancellor of Talisten's residence tonight."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Arissa is quite surprised at this request. "Why, how marvelous! Of course we shall be there, for 'tis a great honour to dine with a Windhover. At what time will our presence be requested?"

"It would be our pleasure and honor Sir. Please send our deepest thanks to Lady Sunshimmer. But please, if you have the time enjoy with us another ale. May I presume that you had been living in Talisten for a long time Sir?"
Talisten, no. Syndaris, yes," Ardavi replies. "I call the town of Everal my home. It lies to the east of here, a journey of two days or so." He then finishes off the pint of ale he had brought with him to the table. "Your offer to sit and enjoy the warm atmosphere of this place for another thirty minutes is tempting, but I do have some other matters that need my attention. First and foremost, I must let the Chancellor know that he should be expecting you in a few hours. So, unless you have need of any further clarification about tonight's meeting, then I should be on my way."
(Ardavi rises and leaves The Singing Fire, unless, of course, any of you have further questions for him.)
