Xellos: Roll initiative. If you exit the kitchen, then please tell me where you will be standing. (Use the map in post #596).
Arissa: Can you let me know where exactly you are standing? (Use the map in post #596).EDIT: Arissa is now standing in square 29
Frandal: Can you tell me if you're using regular arrows? Or magical ones? EDIT: Frandal is shooting regular arrows.
Kurt: You can declare your action now or wait until you see what happens with any player who has initiative before you.EDIT: Kurt has advanced to to the top left corner of square 17; he is out of range to melee the wight; so he will throw a dagger at the tiefling.
Everyone: Initiative order is as follows (but Xellos will be added in accordingly before we continue):
Frandal (who will shoot an arrow as posted in #601)
Kurt (moving 30' and throwing dagger)
Arissa (no action yet declared, but is ready to use Counterspell as a reaction)
DM (tiefling is attempting to cast spell as posted in #598)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Arissa casts phantasmal force on the tiefling. On a failed INT DC 14 Save, he sees Bharash jump out behind him and shout "You fool, how dare you harm innocent travellers!" then whacks him with his staff, dealing 4 psychic damage.

Kurt's dagger strikes the tiefling, causing 8 points of piercing damage. The tiefling reacts by glancing quickly at Kurt, but he continues uttering the words to his spell.
INT saving throw for the tiefling: 10
Arissa's attempt to cast phantasmal force fails. Her attempt to negate the tiefling's spell with Counterspell is successful, however. Also successful is her attempt to disguise why his spell failed.
The wight draws his bow and fires at Kurt. Attack: 12 Damage: 10
Xellos: Your action is next, if you choose to take one.
Xellos, hearing the fighting, would start chanting an incantation.
(If he has line of sight on Frandal *and* Kurt while being 30ft from him, he stays behind the door)
(If he does not have line of sight on both or if Kurt is greater than 30ft away, he moves to 33 while chanting, assuming that's within 30ft. If it's not 30 ft then place me at the appropriate square)
"Spirits of the wind, grant us your swiftness in hammering our foes! Grey wing!"
He holds up two hands with a piece of licorice root inbetween each index and middle finger, palms facing forward, then squints his eyes and grits his teeth with intense concentration as he aims one palm at Frandal and one at Kurt.
Both pieces in each hand disappear as a sudden feeling of unnatural speed overwhelms Frandal and Kurt. Their weapons and bodies feel incredibly lighter.
Target's speed is doubled, it gains a +2 bonus to AC, it has advantage on Dexterity saving throws, and it gains an additional action on each of its turns. That action can be used only to take the Attack (one weapon attack only), Dash, Disengage, Hide, or Use an Object action. 1 minute.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Feeling his body reacting to Xellos incantation the elf uses it trying to enhance his performance in battle.
He notchs another arrow and mutter some words in draconinc and fires it at the Tiefling. As the arrow leaves his bow and passes in front of his mouth, it seems that his breath changes it and the arrow starts to cover with ice until it turns into an ice shard that flies towards the tiefling and shatters at impact, covering both the tiefling and the wight with icy spikes.
Celebquesse dives in and flaps his wings over the tiefling’s eyes, distracting him for a second before going up in the sky again, but that was enought for Frandal to fire again his arrows, trying to hit the tiefling in his neck and head, where there is no cloack that can protect him. Then he takes cover behind the column to allow him to think his next movement.
Ok hope you don’t mind the “literature” of the mechanics will be like this:
Hastened action: Cast Ice Knife:
Attack: 11 Damage: 5 ST: DEX 14 for the tiefling and the wight or take 7 extra ice damage.
Celebquesse initiative: 20 she will aid to us to give us advantage on our attack rolls against the tiefling. In case Frandal can take advantage for it for it’s initiative order I will include the rolls in this post, so I don’t have to edit later, and possibly get the warning banner ;) If you think it’s ok we keep the first roll as the “main” roll and the two others (the one I post with advantage) as the advantage and the elven accuracy roll.
Tiefling 11 (Damage is halved; therefore, he sustains 5 points of cold damage)
Wight 16 (Takes 7 points of cold damage)
Frandal: Your spell doesn't seem to have its full effect on the tiefling. Additionally, you watch your arrows hit your target precisely, but they seem to strike the tiefling and then fall to the floor without doing any damage. You begin to wonder if he might be immune to your arrows for some reason.
Frandal, Celebquesse will have the same spot in the initiative order as you. And, yes, if she is distracting the tiefling, then your attacks will be done with advantage.
Kurt: Your action is next, followed by Arissa's. Keep in mind, Xellos has cast Haste on you.
Now that you are close enough to engage the tiefling in melee combat, you have a better view of his appearance. He looks withered and pale, almost as if he's part tiefling, part undead.
Your first slash with the scimitar makes its mark on the tiefling, but the second and third miss him entirely. Then, your final attack makes contact, causing him to let out a furious snarl in some language you do not understand. (the tiefling takes 18 points of slashing damage).
Arissa:Your action is next.
Spoiler for Xellos:
When Kurt's final attack strikes the tiefling, you understand exactly what comes out of his mouth in Infernal: "You will suffer, fool!"
"You aren't following the proper rules of hospitality. Why don't you stop attacking us and stay where you are so that we can talk?"
WIS Save DC 14.
