You're unable to discern anything out of place with the Chancellor.
Xellos:
The Chancellor doesn't seem himself. Reflecting on your previous meeting with him, his demeanor is ever so slightly different. The Chancellor's words cause you to think he may be hiding something. Bharash's words cause you to think he's nervous.
Everyone: After the Chancellor's remark about breakfast, Bharash turns around; so, he's facing your general direction and his back is now toward Sariel, Kempis, and the Chancellor. The wizard then takes a few steps toward the large table at which all of you sat together last week. Bharash slowly removes his cloak and drapes it over the back of a chair, saying, "No need for this any longer." He then speaks in a barely perceptible voice and makes a small, horizontal circular motion in the air with his left hand and then a slightly larger vertical circular motion with his right hand. You realize he has just cast a spell. Suddenly Bharash's "voice" is audible in your mind.
The Chancellor is behaving oddly. I am intentionally deceiving him regarding where the five friends of Syndaris are at this moment, as well as where they will be staying tonight. Remain watchful. All of us but the Chancellor are now linked telepathically via Telepathic Bond. I am going to press the Chancellor on his decision to send guardsman on patrols outside the city walls.
Bharash then turns around and approaches the Chancellor. "Sir, if I may trouble your patience, you have explained your decision to Kempis, but I have not heard your thoughts on this matter. Would you be willing to explain?"
*I find the chancellor’s behavior odd to * thinks Frandal to the rest *But I think it’s just he doesn’t realize the dire situation Syndaris is. * he says to the others.
Xellos *I think he's hiding something. Windhovers under attack, town in danger, and he willingly sends the guards away when counselled not to by a strategist? This smells like trouble. Bharash, are you able to plant the compass stone on him? Sariel and Kempis can cause a distraction.*

Everyone:The following thoughts are expressed telepathically among the group:
Kempis: "By Moradin's beard! I was hoping I wasn't the only one who'd noticed the Chancellor's odd behavior."
Bharash: "Yes, I'll sit next to him and slide the stone into his pocket. Sariel, chime in with a comment or question for the Chancellor as I sit down."
Sariel: "I shall. Is he under some sort of influence of another? I'm tempted to attempt to dispel magic."
Sariel then speaks aloud. "Yes, Chancellor. Bharash and I wish to be fully informed of your intention for the Talisten guard so he and I can modify our own strategy for the days to come."
Bharash, at that moment, slides onto the seat beside the Chancellor and makes a move to place the compass stone into the Chancellor's pocket (Difficulty Class 10). [Sleight of Hand attempt: 10]
The Chancellor notices Bharash's attempt to place something in his pocket. He looks at Bharash's hand; he then makes eye contact with Bharash but says nothing. He then silently makes eye contact with Sariel and, lastly, Kempis. The silence is palpably awkward among the four, but eventually the Chancellor speaks. "It seems I have lost your confidence. It does indeed. How can I possibly regain it?"
While the Chancellor utters these words, one of the household servants enters the room; she carries a tray upon which sit two flagons of wine, some bread, nuts, and dried meat.
Ozum:
The servant walks directly beneath you after she enters the room. Your spidey sense begins to tingle. An invisible creature has followed the servant into the room.
Kempis, in response to Frandal's question: "I'm unsure, Frandal. Yesterday he met with the Captain of the Guard and gave clear orders that guards, in groups of three, were to hunt for undead within ten miles of Talisten. The Captain protested briefly but begrudgingly followed the order. When I first confronted the Chancellor, he stated that we should take action to disrupt our enemy rather than merely sit back and wait for trouble to come to us. If I'm not mistaken a few patrols are currently missing."
Arissa starts cursing telepathically in Sylvan. *I'm sorry. I've let you all down. I do have an idea though: Sariel, can you become invisible again? I will create a major image in your place that will look like you. Once it's created, you'll have to move away. I can make it do whatever you want it to.*

Sariel (telepathically):Becoming invisible is not within a druid's power, Arissa. Kurt, I do not believe the Chancellor has turned against us; I wonder, however, if he's being coerced by some other power. The Windhovers have repeatedly stressed the importance of guarding Talisten; yet the Chancellor weakens its defenses significantly as he sends forth dozens and dozens of the guards."
*And sending small patrols make easier for the undead to kill them, and for anyone who wants to infiltrate the city, easier both do it and escape if the alarm sounds after an evil act. Do we have any mean to see if he is magically controled or influenced? Asl him to allow you to cast some spells to check on him in order to regain that trust.* suggest the elf, igorant that they are not alone.
A bit of clarity on everyone's position will indeed be helpful. Here's a rudimentary layout of the room. The NPC symbol in E14 is the servant who just entered the room. The markers for Ozum, Xellos, Kurt, Arissa, and Frandal aren't intended to be accurate. Let me know where your character is standing, or, in Ozum's case, clinging to the wall or ceiling. :)
By the way, my images are bit blurry after being uploaded to imgur. Not sure what that's all about.
Ozum communicates telepathically. <There is an invisible creature behind the servant. Should I attempt to reveal them?>
If Ozum gets no objections, he will drop out of spider form, hovering with his boots, and cast faerie fire on the servant in an attempt to expose the hidden creature.
If not, Ozum will continue to track the creature and report its whereabouts.
(Let’s say Frandal is at E5. Also I didn’t want to “mess” the previous post but let’s say that Frandal told his familiar where they were going, but told him to saty high in the sky over the house once she reaches it, so no eagle arounf this fight, but she will be near for RP if we get away from this ;) )
*I think we’ve attracted him. If everyone is ready I am. We must put that servant out of harm’s way*

Everyone:
1. (The map of the room is based on 5' squares. I'll post an updated map after hearing from Necmo and Law_less).
2. (The first time you met Kempis, he was without armor and carried only a dagger. He is, after all, retired. This second time, however, in preparation for any potential harm that may be headed his way, Kempis looks more like his former Windhover self. He wears a chain shirt and carries a dwarf-crafted war hammer along with a pair of throwing axes. I apologize for not elaborating on his appearance sooner).
Kempis (telepathically): "This unseen interloper has just walked into a room full of trouble."
Sariel (telepathically): "I will keep an eye on the Chancellor...for his safety as well as ours."
Bharash (telepathically): "Our telepathic bond will continue even if we cast spells."
Sariel then speaks aloud in a calming voice, addressing the Chancellor's question ("It seems I have lost your confidence. It does indeed. How can I possibly regain it?"). "Chancellor, you've not lost our confidence. I assure you. We are merely deeply concerned for the safety of this great city and the people who dwell within the safety of its walls. Bharash and I want to ensure we are doing all we can during this dark hour. We cannot do so without your assistance and agreement."
*Do it Ozzum* thinks Frandal getting his bow ready to fire.
(OOC: Readied action to fire his arrow as soon as the faerie fire is released in the direction Ozzum states he has sensed the intruder. )
No need to apologize! As you see I use the familiar more for RP purpouses and exploration than for combat. As I said at the begining, once he is in the party the familiar would go to a second place, for the conversations between them are long ;) they still happens and the eagle still tease him, and I put some of that from time to time but don’t want to bother anyone.
Also if we forget about it.. we forget about it no worries! :)
Ozum drops out of spider form, briefly falling before catching himself with his winged boots. He barks out an incantation in drudic as he becomes visible. As the lights try to cling to anything in the area Ozum desperately looks for any sign of the figure.
