Arissa:
Be sure to make your CON saving throw for this turn.
(DEX save for Arconius after being hit by Ozum's Ice Knife: 7) Arconius sustains 3 hp cold damage.
At the conclusion of Kurt's turn, Arconius utilizes a second legendary action by reaching out and applying paralyzing touch to Kurt. (Attack: 28 Damage: 8) Kurt must make a DC 18 CON saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute.
Arconius then speaks, attempting to hold back his rage, "It is to your great fortune Bharash that I have sworn not to kill you. Now my purpose here is fulfilled." He then utters a few words, casting Dimension Door and unceremoniously vanishes from the room.
But through the broken balcony door, the deep resonant sound of an alarm horn catches everyone's ear. Sariel recognizes it immediately. "The city gates have been breached! Talisten is under attack!" Without another word, she runs through the shattered doors and leaps off the balcony, disappearing into the night. Kempis, awaiting orders, looks at Bharash. The Chancellor remains seated on the floor, dazed and muttering, "What is happening? Where was I?"
Bharash speaks rapidly. "All of this was a diversion! The most powerful people in Syndaris all in the same room while who knows what marched on Talisten's gates! Friends of Syndaris, the telepathic bond is still in effect. As we go to the city streets, we may not be able to fight side by side, but we shall remain connected. If you are willing, let us go!"
Bharash and Kempis dash toward the main doors, preparing to descend into the streets of Talisten.
Everyone:
Your course of action may be affected by the results of Arissa's CON saving throw (she's currently stunned for one minute) and the results of Kurt's CON saving throw (he is facing the possibility of being paralyzed for one minute).
Xellos, his brain processing everything, quickly casts Prestidigitation to create three magical trinkets and hands them to Sariel, Kempis, and the Counsellor as they run past him through the door.
"Keep these, we can use Detect Magic to track you! Hang on to that stone Bharash!"(They last for 1 hour)
*Celebquesse! What do you see?* ask Frandal to his familiar who is over the mansion. *Can I go down?*
(The question to the eagle, is more to the DM can I go down using acrobatics, parkour style, following Sariel?)
”What about the demon?” Asks Frandal as he walks towards the balcony and looks down, “It’s going to cma back or we can goand help in the defense of the city?”
OOC: Hold up on running off for a moment. DM, just for clarification, does the fiend reappear after 1 minute? If so, approximately how much time has passed since Xellos Banished it? Xellos is not running after them until he kills this thing or satisfied that it's permanently Banished back to its original plane.

Ozum: The sun has set on Talisten; therefore you cannot see much of the city. To the north, you hear sounds of yelling, screaming, running feet, and the clash of steel on steel (see circled area on map below). You see half a dozen city guards running westward past the Chancellor's house and across Market Square (see arrows on map below). Additionally, it appears that at least one building to the north is on fire.

Dragon of Autumn - Geoff Krowly Human Cleric
Princes of the Apocalypse -Leofir SylvaranthElf Rogue
The Windhovers' Call -Xellos Mazoku Tiefling Sorcerer
Everyone:The current status of the party is as follows:
Xellos: Remaining in the room (or in some relatively safe place) for roughly 45 seconds to ensure he can maintain concentration on banishing the fiend
Arissa: Remaining in the room as a result of being stunned
Frandal: Descending from the balcony to the streets of Talisten?
Kurt: Running northward toward the sound of trouble
Ozum: Flying northward toward the sound of trouble
The status of the Windhovers is as follows:
Sariel: Flew off the balcony roughly 10 seconds ago (according to Celebquesse) and her exact location is not known
Bharash and Kempis: Running northward toward the sound of trouble
Chancellor: Sitting on the floor, puzzled and seemingly unaware of the gravity of the current situation.
Frandal, Kurt, and Ozum:
You race northward across the open Market Square, and as you draw closer to the river you see general chaos. Men, women, and children fleeing in all directions while guards, with swords drawn, move to and fro. You don't see any combat on this side (the south side) of the river, but you know that swords are clanging against sword somewhere not too far off, probably on the other side of the river. One of the buildings on Old Ward Island is engulfed in flames, allowing you to see the silhouettes of people and guards. Bharash and Kempis are just ahead of you. You do not see Sariel, however.
Frandal:
Celebquesse informs you that the fighting is occurring north of the river. Skeletons and wights are moving about in well-organized groups. Furthermore, they have a strong presence on the bridge from Old Ward Island to the northern area of Talisten.
Horatio Hirschfeld - Squire imbued with fae powers, in the Coliseum of Conquest (W2/L1) DM for Reavers of Harkenwold, and sometimes The Fighting Grounds of the Coliseum
(Arissa will be free from the effects of power word stun in roughly thirty seconds).
Xellos:
The Chancellor seems to become even more confused by your line of questioning. "Involved with Arconius? I've not spoken a word to him, Xellos, I assure you." He pauses for a moment, as if he's straining to remember an elusive piece of information. "I..I..don't know what happened here tonight. I simply don't know. I think...I think Arconius did this to me. He had me under some sort of spell. That must be the explanation."
Frandal, Kurt, and Ozum:
As you approach Old Ward Island, which sits in the middle of the Silverthread River, you see that the guards are ushering a few people over the southern bridge to the safety of south Talisten. There are only three buildings on the island, and, now, two of them are in flames. You hear one of the guards as he shouts, "They've taken the northern bridge; we're cut off this way!" You can see a few dead guards as well as the remains of some wights and skeletons on the island, but there is no longer any fighting taking place; the invaders appear to be holding their ground on the northern bridge. By the light of the flames, you can see at least a dozen undead on the northern bridge, with bows and swords drawn.
Telepathically, you hear Bharash's voice. "I'm sure that Silverthread Bridge is their next target. Let us fight for that one!"
You're familiar enough with the city to know that Silverthread Bridge is a short distance to the east(see map in post #1073).
Ozum begins heading toward Silverthread bridge and telepathically communicates, <Head for us when you can, Arissa and Xellos. Me must strike quickly and expel the dead from the city. They will not rest, so the longer we take the greater chance Talisten will fall.>

Xellos doesn't believe that a "spell" influenced him.
Is he lying or telling a half-truth? Insight 23
Regardless, he makes sure the Counsellor hangs on to the 3rd magical trinket via Prestidigitation. The other 2 he gave to Kempis and Sariel earlier.
"Counsellor, I strongly suggest you keep that trinket that I made. If anything happens during this attack, then we will be able to find you. Now, are you coming with us to lead the remaining troops in the city, or are you going to cower in a hole somewhere?
Think for a moment about the pickle you're in. I don't think many surviving troops in the city will be very happy with you about thinning their ranks, so you have another *big* problem on your hand. Also when the townsfolk get word of it, if they live, a possible military coup and civil unrest is what you have. As I said, the timing is all *very* convenient.
I suggest you pick the former, and come with us to the battle. If you order the troops away then you can order them in the thick of it too. Not to mention it will salvage a little bit of your reputation, would it not? Leading the troops during an attack would work well politically, too."
(Xellos believes the Counsellor will sneak away so he's trying *very* hard to get him to come along.)
Persuasion 14
(I assume Arissa is ready at this point)
Xellos quickly fills her in on what has happened and looks to see what the Counsellor does.
"We will help protect you Counsellor, as will the Windhovers, choose wisely."

Xellos remains with Arissa since everyone else legged it, and to prevent the concentration from being broken.
Since everyone has left and while Arissa is stunned, Xellos has a chat with the Counsellor.
He holds him by the collar of his clothes, and lifts him up with a fireball materializing in his free hand.
"Tell me how you're involved with Arconius, *Counsellor*! You knew this attack was coming didn't you?! This is all VERY convenient timing is it not?!"
He moves the fireball slowly towards the Counsellor's face... (doesn't put it on him, but close enough to let him feel the heat)
