"Yeah that seems like a bit much lady."Twig says, "Just because their ancestors locked you here, doesn't mean they had anything to do with it."She thinks for a moment, "I have another question. Will you grant any wish? No matter what it is? Because mine is pretty big..."She glances at Roland, who had just rejected her offer.
Overhearing, Roland leaned toward his companions and lowered his voice. "Possibly. But even so, she'd probably be mad with you, maybe forever." The farmboy continued with a more concerned tone, "Would you be okay with that?"
Twig shrugs, "If she is then she's a bad sport."To the young half-elf, this whole thing hasn't been much more than another game. It wouldn't surprise her if the lady gets mad that they beat her at her own game, but still. "Besides, I got nothing to lose. Plus once we're back on the mainland, I don't plan on getting on another ship for the rest of my life... I guess one of you could wish that can skip the boat ride?"
The paint scuffed paint was enough the break the rune formation.
An energy pulse ripples from Madriga as she rises and finally opens her eyes. You can feel the energy in the air as she stands on her feet after centuries. "I am finally Free!" Madriga then takes a look at the party "Now what is your wish?"
Twig puts her hands on her hips and says, "We wish for you to spare the people of this island and enjoy your freedom back at sea."She stares at the woman triumphantly.
Madriga stares at Twig in anger and raises her fist into the air. The entire roof is blown away revealing the sunny half blue half purple sky above. "Know that you have made an enemy of me and my people. I will grant your wish." she gives Twig a venomous grin "I am guessing you do not know why this island is not on any map. Its because it disappears into another plane. I Wish luck on your travels."
There is a crack of thunder and violent lightning surrounds Madriga. In the next heartbeat she is gone.
Slowly the sky is turning more and more purple. Soon this island will no longer be in Faerun.
By your calculation the party does not have enough time to make it back to the ship. They need a much faster option. It will take 1 day for the island to shift into a different plane
Zhernon blinks, then shrugs. "Don't know. Maybe life is okay on the other plane. Except her. Maybe we can still bargain with her when we get there. But maybe get out of here and get help? What about the amulet?"

"Oh perhaps this young lass is more perceptive. Yes I would grant any wish as long as I and my people are free from this retched island" says Madriga
The waters became more agitated for a moment after Roland's statement, but calms a little when Twig asked her question
Zhernon leans over to Twig and whispers to her, "Wish that everyone was spared?"
Twig nods, "Yep, what do ya think? Think she'll really do it?"

(What do you say to Madriga? Also it will be 1 wish for the whole party)
Zhernon squawks softly. "You tell her then." They turn back around to the room, "We do it."
"Good. Now cut the seaweed that binds me and destroy the runes" says Madriga
Zhernon shrugs and begins cutting at some of the vines but keeping an eye on their surroundings.
1 by 1 the vines cut leaving sparks behind. All that is left are the runes painted on the floor. Madriga stirs in her sleep, but not quite awake.
The water turns serene and you begin to smell the salt of the sea.
Twig starts scuffing her feet on the runes to try to rub off the paint.

Roland subconsciously crouched a bit further behind his shield, then looked toward Twig expectantly.

What do you say to Madriga?
(Sorry, been at work all day)
Twig puts her hands on her hips and says, "We wish for you to spare the people of this island and enjoy your freedom back at sea." She stares at the woman triumphantly.
There is still the other side of the ruins through the other stone door.
