"Klarg..." The goblin mutters as it fades into unconsciousness. Sildar, barely able to hold himself up, collapses with the goblin at the top of the stairs.
"Nice one, how long will he be out for?" he asks. Tarok pulls the arrow out of his arm and drops it on the ground. Then he makes his way over to Sildar to see if there is anything he can do to treat his wounds.
"Do we have any rope to tie that goblin up?"

"That was quite a bit of noise we just made. Let's hope the noise of that stream covered up more of the sound than I think it did. Let's get Sildar up and going and let's finish these goblins off."
Argos runs into the room, planting himself at the top of the stairs. He readies his longbow and watches the entrance, waiting for anything that may be coming.
Tarok relieves the goblin of it's weapons, but seems otherwise unsure of what to do with it. He settles for pointing his sword a half foot from it's chest, and keeps a close watch on it.
"Is he ok?" he asks Cinis, jerking his head toward Sildar. "I don't think goblins have a big sense of hospitality. I think we should question this one sharply when he wakes up, find out what else is waiting for us in this cave." he adds in his deep, gravely voice.
"I'm not sure. Just kill the goblin and toss him over the ledge or something. We don't have much time." Cinis said, not sparing a second thought over the life of the murderous goblin. "If we get Sildar talking, he might be able to give us a layout of the cave."
Tarok looks a little taken aback at first, but his expression hardens when he looks down at the goblin. "You're right Cinis, these goblins are murderers and bandits. There is no valor in slaying a helpless foe, but justice demands their lives all the same."
Saying that, he plunges his sword downward toward goblin's throat.
Tarok's Greatsword Attack (at advantage for incapacitated enemy): 14
OOC: No way.
Tarok's half-hearted plunge shockingly misses the goblin's throat and clanks against the stone floor beside it.
You hear a chuckle from Sildar, whose eyes opened just in time to witness it. "That's an anticlimactic rescue, isn't it?" He coughs a few times, and slowly stands up, walking over to the weapons that Tarok has removed from the goblin. With a scimitar in hand, he looks as if simply holding a weapon again is giving him strength. "This wasn't the leader...just a goblin named Yeemik. Bugbear on the other side of the cave leads them...beat the shite out of me and handed me to these goblins. The Eating Cave, they call this room. If you'll allow me..."

Scimitar Attack (adv. for sleeping enemy):12
Sildar brutally hacks one of the goblin's arms off, obviously prioritizing pain over death. Even in his current state, the attacks are lightning-quick. He doubles over in pain, however, the bruises on his body preventing him from finishing the job.
The attack has awoken the goblin, who screams in pain, clutching the open wound where its arm once was. It scrabbles backwards toward the wall, eyes wide in fear.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(In case Tarok can't take another swing at the goblin, the following occurs. If he can, pretend this next bit never happened. Not like it matters, since he can't hit anything.)
Cinis reacted as soon as the goblin awoke and spat out "Sruthán", launching a Fire Bolt at the injured goblin.
(EDIT: He's probably going to shoot himself in the face or something ridiculous. Hopefully Tarok can kill the goblin so this whole thing can be ignored.)
OOC: No worries at all. Also good lord, Cinis's fire bolt is either a solid hit or a disaster. Luckily...
The goblin's death is clean, as Tarok strides forward and plunges his greatsword through the goblin's throat, his aim true.
Sildar nods in acceptance of Tarok's statement. "I apologize, I allowed rage to control my actions. A warrior in the Lord's Alliance, held captive by goblins, of all things..." He shakes his head. "They mentioned taking Gundren to some place called Cragmaw Castle, but he may still be here. The bugbear on the other side of the cave runs this place, but he was under orders to waylay Gundren specifically. I can fill you in once we get out of this place."
"Works for me. Let's avoid any further fighting and get back to Phandalin." Cinis said, helping Sildar toward the exit, navigating along the path they came in.
(OOC: Thank goodness I didn't have to shoot myself in the face or kill Sildar or something equally stupid.)
"He also said Bugbear. That's reason enough to get out while we can. Those suckers are tough." Cinis said to Tarok over his shoulder, still supporting Sildar.

"I'm going to press on, whether you come or not. A short rest to catch our breath makes sense, but to leave entirely? That's just cowardice. Sildar said that Gundren might be here still. I won't abandon him." he says, incensed with Cinis.

"Tarok is right", Sildar says to Cinis while leaning on him for support, "Even if it kills me, I cannot leave Gundren behind. There is more at stake here than you may realize. Gundren and his brothers found something that could revitalize this region. But if it falls into the wrong hands..."
To Nemean, he says "Agreed, my friend. An excellent use of a sleep spell. I am in your debt, all of you. If we reach Phandalin, I have contacts there. You've earned a suitable reward from the Lord's Alliance, and I can obtain a loan of 50 gold for the group." At the mention of the bugbear, he says "Klarg...yes, that was its name. It was under orders from a 'King Grol' to waylay Gundren, but there is too much going on here for this to be the work of a tribe of goblins and bugbears."
To Tarok, he says "Most of the goblins stayed in this room. There can't be more than a few left in here. The rest of them come from this Cragmaw Castle...wherever in the Nine Hells that is." Thinking for another moment, he remembers "Klarg has a pet. A wolf...nasty and mangy...Ripper, he called it. That thing will smell us from a mile away, so we should be ready." He grips his scimitar tightly.

Nemean smiles upon being reunited with his friend Sildar.
“Sildar, glad to see you’re still in one piece! Is the Bugbear the Klarg they keep talking about?”
He then looks at Cinis “Excellent work putting that last goblin to sleep, I hate to think what would have happened otherwise.”
He then draws his scimitars and prepares for action as they start to leave the room.
