Ferro doesn’t know why a sword would randomly be hanging out here. Is it pointing a certain direction? He really wants to just get through the maze.

(So the maze itself is a threat?)

Rai goes up to the sword and stone pedestal, and takes a good look at it. He's specifically looking at if it's pointing in a certain direction, if there's any text around it, or if there's anyone around that might give him a clue of why it's there or what it is.

The sword is not pointing in any particular direction, but rather is laying on a pedestal as if on display. It has a draconic symbol on it and glows faintly with a magical aura of some kind. It is exquisitely made and is likely one of Jhaal's special possessions. 

(The maze is not literally a threat per se, think more like a lair. You can make an Arcana check if you want on the sword.)

(Gotcha. If you know draconic, would you be able to read/interpret the symbol on the sword, or is it just draconic in nature?)

It's just draconic in nature, nothing specific. However, after studying it for a few moments, you perceive this is a Dragon Slayer Longsword  (+3)

Belko looked the sword over, " A fine bit of craftsmanship."

" I'll stick with my current weapons. Sentimental attachment."

Ruby has no interest in it as it does not fit her.
