Garagas follows and gazes in delighted awe at the fanciness of the Augustus residence. "Will Lord Augustus be joining us soon?" he asks the red-garbed man.
[[OOC: The Scab Armor doesn't seem be mechanically correct for what you're describing. Might I suggest to instead use (studded) leather armor as a base and give it a +5 bonus. (Might want to use +x as as the base item. I'm not a homebrew expert by any means either, but just thinking here.]]
[[OCC: good idea, I will. Is the scorcher ok?]]
"What do you mean?"He replies. "You have yet to prove yourself worthy of his presence before you can formally meet him. In the meantime, where would you like to go? And before you ask what Amenities we have, think about what you would like to do, and I'm sure we have it. You have 24 hours of leisure before the practice war."
Lazaren hears this, and asks, "Is there anywhere I could practice combat? And might there be a library? And, sorry, but one more question: What is the practice war, and how will it work?"

"Of course." The man in red and 5 other soldiers lead you down a few halls to a surprisingly near gym. The lead soldier pulls a sword of the rack to your left for himself, and then, making sure to have a cloth over his hand so he doesn't touch it, he brings over a Razor and hands it to you. The Razor is a weapon of beauty, with a shining silver blade and a gold hilt. it feels as light as a feather. The blade changes depending on your environment, going short and broad in small spaces and long and thin in large ones. But the blade seems to be blunted.
"Would you take me on in a duel, dominus?"
*This Razor does no damage, but normal ones do a ludicrous 10d10 damage. This is to make things more realistic, as irl one good hit from a sword could easily kill some one. Crits with Razors kill with one hit, no death saves. Only certain spells can save you from a Razor crit. Tip: Don't get hit by one of these.*

[[OOC: With the new homebrew, as I'm understanding it, it's essentially choosing between having a surprise round. Or you can make two rolls against the opponent's Acrobatics with Sleight of Hand to guarantee a critical hit. Whereas not taking this option would just be a normal roll, correct?
Doesn't seem unbalance on first thoughts. There's two times for potential failure. So it seems like a situational thing to decide, given the normal non-contested surprise would still have its innate 5% chance of a crit.]]
