Lazaren opens the letter, carefully removing the contents. 

A slip of paper. It reads:

Dear Lazaren,

My father likes to keep his new lancers apart until the practice war, as he likes them to have independence. But telling you not to come see us in the common room would be going against his own rules. Come say hi to all us other Lancers, we will be fighting together in a few hours after all.

It will be great to see you in person, 

Virginia Augustus (Code name: Mustang) Writing on behalf of myself and the other lancers.

Lazaren smiles, excited to meet others. He puts the letter in his pocket, and exits his room, looking for the Soldier.

 "Are there common rooms, by chance? And what is your name?" He asks the red one. 

Garagas glances around the room at first. Upon seeing the fake wood at the ceiling he starts humming Big Yellow Taxi, particularly the lines "They took all the trees, and put 'em in a tree museum. And they charged the people a dollar and a half to see them." 

Upon seeing the fireplace to strides over there and, assuming it's a fuel one and not a gas one, starts readying it for a fire later in the day. After tending to the fireplace he heads over to his possessions to start unpacking.

"My name is A13673-485, but most people just call me Alpha. And yes, there is a common room. Would you like me to take you both there, Dominus?" He seems to think Lazaren makes the decisions for both of you.

 "That would be great, Alpha." Lazaren looks at Garagas for a confirmation.

 [[Most soldiers are trained by families from birth, so are given numbers instead of names. You would both know this, so are unphased]]

The soldiers begin to lead you towards the common room. When you reach it, there is no one there. But there is a note on the central table saying, "Dear Garagas and Lazaren. We have just gone out to get drinks, as there is no bar in the common, and will be back shortly."

[[Gn, I'll be back in the morning. Feel free to role play talking to each other and do whatever you want in the common room. I'm tired, as so shant describe everything around you, but there is a few chairs and 3 couches for you to relax on, and basically all the drinks you can think of that aren't alcoholic on a small table to your left.]]

Lazaren makes a beeline for the table, and pours himself some Orange Juice. "So! Garagas! Do you have any hobbies?" 

Garagas peruses the drink options and ends up settling on a root beer soda. "Well as you may have guessed," he gestures with his violin, "I'm quite partial to music." He finishes up the current can and opens another, "How about yourself, Lazaren? You were quite handy with that razor earlier."

"Yes, I do enjoy a good duel." He smiles. "But I've been finding out recently that I'm the kind of person who's up for almost anything."

Zeus, your shuttle lands in the Citadel courtyard, and you step out. Would you care to describe yourself? 

[[I know the others can't see you, but I like the effect of you stepping out and describing what you look like. It's a nice, kinda epic way for you to join the campaign]]
