As she turns away to help with the further search, she says to Cainneach softly, "I wish we were traveling together now, in any other part of Thuland but this. We'll see it through though, for our friends and each other. But ... someday, I'd love to travel with you more, leannan 'neach. Anywhere." With that, she gives him another smile and moves to the other side of the line of pallets. Beginning there, she will help search them as she works towards him, meeting in the middle, and then follow him and Thatch to check the westward turn.
Cainneach can do little but smile and briefly take Famh's hand in his, before turning away to poke through the pallets. Perhaps this is done too carefully, for he is unable to turn up anything of interest. Even Salt's usually reliable nose fails him, although the hound may be having difficulty focusing amidst the various smells and ominous sights of the room.
Having met again after searching the area, Cainneach says to Famh, "No luck for me and Salt here. Did you find anything, mo ghràidh? Och, we should catch up before they leave us behind!" He joins Famh and Salt to follow Thatch.
Ori looks at the hanging cloth, the pictures were certainly not his taste, seemed demonic. But Ori didn't see the concern with the glorified rug, certainly he wasn't anymore scared based on seeing it. Sounds like the group has had some experience with such a thing before, but it sure sounds exaggerated to him. "Last I checked those things burn, light it up and then no problem, aye?"
He gives Thatch a nudge down the hall to say Ori is ready to press on. (Ori will take lead if Thatch doesn't want to)

"Only this needle, naught more.," she replies, showing him the sliver of steel she found behind the stone. "Strange that it's not rusted, but I'm not getting a feeling of evil from it as I did that horrid tapestry. Let's catch up wi' the others for sure! This is not the sort of place to be left behind in." Threading the needle into her collar for safe keeping, she follows the two as they join the assembling group by the west-facing turn. For a moment you can almost see her dismay and fear at the evil of the place struggling with her almost catlike curiosity. Curiosity wins out, of course, and she takes out another torch and lights it at the one Thatch is holding. Stretching her arm out to reach this around the corner without exposing more of her body than need be, she carefully peers around it herself.
You see a large water damaged mahogany portal at the end of the passage propped open by a fallen table. Beyond lies a large vaulted chamber which in the torchlight seems full of ritual paraphernalia—sceptres, masks, bells, drums, rotted vestments can be glimpsed as well as cases lining the walls.
"We need to investigate but take the upmost care. I would not wish for any of you to experience what I did, or worse. I doubt the will be many treasures here that have not been tainted with some vile act."
While other are searching for traps or treasure, evil and foulness, Almeric is watching everyone else. Just like when in Hobs Dell, he does NOT want the group to become separated or isolated from each other. Herding everyone together into the large vaulted chamber, weapons at the ready, the Capellar observes all.
"Those with keen eyes and deft hands can search carefully. Those without can stand watch in case of surprise. Look for precious metals or stones among the detritus. Even if it be tainted with evil, I can get it cleansed and purified at the next church we find.

Fergus nods to Sir Almeric, both bolstered and shook from their earlier exchange. He will follow the others in once they have checked that there are no traps and start examining the items. He will also keep an eye out for any script that may warn them of dangers.
Lining the walls are cases, these contain what were once vellum scrolls but time and moisture has reduced them all to an unreadable mush. A number of the masks and other items of religious wear appear to be made of silver which may be worth something.....but all of it is etched with unsettling pictographs and designs. Another door leads north from this room.
Fergus searches through the debris but is unable to locate anything of interest.
Ori follows closely behind Thatch figuring if there was something to stumble upon best the little fella had someone to get behind. Ori wasn't exactly tall himself but his width made up for it. Ori was feeling better then first was coming off the boat. Really he felt there was no threat here except what they stirred up. Safest course of action would be return to the boat, which is exactly why Ori hasn't made his feeling known. "What do you suppose we'll find behind that door?"
On his way to catch up with Thatch, Ori, and Fergus, Cainneach and Salt pause at the room behind the eastern door. Something about it seems a bit off, having naught but a simple symbol of the moon mounted upon the wall. This is unlike the other rooms, which seem to have been filled with objects or people at some point. Cainneach makes his way cautiously into the room, wary of potential traps or enchantments.

Both Cainneach and Salt turn up nothing of interest in the room, but as he examines the symbol he gets a strange feeling of peace and tranquility in stark contrast to the almost palpable evil emanating from every other room so far.....

“Looks like mostly junk left around here.” Thatch helps Fergus search the debris of the room, finding nothing worthwhile. He avoids the masks, even if some are made of silver they are too unsettling to take. As he notices the door to the north he moves to examine it, again searching for traps or any markings.
Fergus murmurs in agreement with Thatch, both disappointed and relieved nothing powerful was left here. With the potential of undead or ghosts around, Fergus backs Thatch up. With a nod to Ori he readies to blast anything that may attack them from the other side of the door.
(Held Action: Eldrich Blast Trigger: Enemy attack upon opening the door.)

No traps or the like are found and the door pushes open easily enough revealing a corridor running north-south with this door at the southern end, about halfway there is a corridor joining from the east which is likely one of the ones they saw when they first descended. At the edge of the torchlight they see a door at the northern end of the corridor....

Cainneach is subconsciously drawn to this crescent moon, seemingly offering respite in a place that, until now, had seemed overwhelmingly evil. He takes a few steps toward it, leaning forward to look more closely, and even reaches out his hand, wanting to just brush his fingers across the gleaming silvery surface ... but Salt barks and places his paws on Cainneach's chest and the reverie is broken. "Come on lad, something so out of place could easily be a trap. Keep your wits about you." He bends down to Salt and thanks him for the intervention, and Salt offers a 'you're welcome' with a lick on the cheek. Cainneach chuckles, thankful for his faithful companion, "Okay okay, that's fine, boy. Let's go find Almeric and see what he thinks of this thing." They head south and around the bend to look for the brash Capellar.
"Almeric, we nearly overlooked it, but there's an unusual room back there, peaceful and still. None of the chaos and overt evil of the other rooms, but I fear it may be a trap. Could you take a look, get a sense of the thing?"

Famh turns towards Cainneach to tell him what she sees the rest of the retinue doing, and sees that he has lagged behind! She starts to hurry back after him, and is immeasurably relieved to see him appear around the bend. "What is it, 'neach? It would be lovely if 'twere so, it's so different than what we've found down here so far. What did ye see there?" Even as she speaks, though, a hideous memory of the ease with which the evil entered Fergus is stirring in the back of her mind, and she can't help peering anxiously at Cainneach to see if there are any subtle changes in him that would alert her quickly enough to try and save him if her worst nightmare came true.

Neither does he worry too much about the evil 'stench' these items, assured that these can be cleansed ready for reuse or sale. After completing this task, Cairneach attracts his attention.
