So final value for Perception is 10. Anyway, since Eithne figured out that something is amiss (or at least so it seems from your post), she wakes the others, even if she does not see or hear anything more than that.
Seeing that the others are all in favor of allowing Lenn to remain with them, Nikolai dismisses the mana he had been holding bound in his hands, allowing it to dissipate into the aether. Before he beds down for the the night, he whispers to Eithne, "My understanding is that my father's people... you... are resistant to charm magic. Still, be careful. Do not listen to whispers or stare into his eyes. If he truly is a full vampire, his powers of manipulation and seduction are very strong."
The wind starts to blow and the noises in the trees now seem unrelated. Listening hard, Eithne senses that there is something in the trees across the road from your camp. She wakes the party, and you all hear it now. There is something in the trees.

Chara sits up groggily, rubbing her yellow eyes. But that grogginess dissipates in an instant as Eithne points out the figure in the trees. Chara tries to get a better look at this mysterious individual, her infernal heritage letting her gaze pierce the darkness (even if only in shades of gray outside of the radius of the fire's light and that of the glowing rock that she gifted to Eithne earlier)

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Lucian makes his way over to Eithne, rolling up his blanket into a ball as he does. "What is it?" He asks, eyeing the direction from which the noise had come.
"Maybe if you throw the rock I gave you towards the trees, we can get a better look at whatever's out there," the she-devil suggests to the savage elf woman.
Unable to detect anything past the sounds, Lucian hesitates for a moment. Was it worth trying to use his wolf senses? ...not yet. He decides, after all they had no clue what this was. It could just be some wild animal.
"Do you think...we are in some sort of danger?" he asks hesitantly.

Before going to bed
Lenn hears Nikolai's words and nods.
"You are not wrong not trusting me. I can only try to gain your trust by my actions. Know this... all of you. My only desire is to kill the Monster itself. He has to pay for what he had done to my village... and my family. I've swore an oath to my Goodness to do anything in my power to see this done. For much time I've wandered Barovia, trying to find a way to fulfill this oath. Now I think I do have a chance... with this crazy plan and with you all. But, your caution and doubts are justified Nikolai. I was hesitant to talk with you for fear of you banishing me from the group. If you all want, I will leave, but I will try to get this done anyway. I do believe that together we have more chances. " Then he thanks the confidence of the party in him but adds.
"A last warning. One that perhaps we don't have to worry in time, but I am trying to be as honest as I can. My transformation is not complete, as I said, and I do not know how much power the Monster could have over me or my will. I want to believe that none... but... but if this proves to be wrong, and he is able to control me in anyway. I beg you. Put me down. Strike me as if I am just another enemy's pawn. Even... " he looks to Lucian "If you have to call forward the Wolf to kill me. "
After that he replies to Onika just to her.
"But of course. Just ask"
When they are awaken by Eithne
Lenn wakes and grabs his greatsword looking around, ready to fight.
"I would say that those stalking us are the ones in danger..."he replies to Lucian.
Lenn stands tall with just a white silk shirt and trousers for he had don off his armor to rest, but with the weapon at the ready.
..."Maybe if you throw the rock I gave you towards the trees, we can get a better look at whatever's out there," the she-devil suggests to the savage elf woman.
"Good idea" Eithne approves, doing as her friend suggested.
If nobody still can see who's hiding in the trees, the savage stranger grabs her greataxe and tries to exhort: "What's the point of staying like this all night long? Whoever you are, if you're here to attack us, bring it on and get it over with. If, on the other hand, you have no evil intentions, come forward and let's talk".
As you all awaken, you all stare at the trees across the road. You sense movement but cannot clearly see. Lenn, barely dressed, great sword in hand, rushes to the far side of the road looking into the canopy. As he does, a body falls out of the trees, on a noose, it's neck cracking with the force of its interrupted fall.
Eithne, if she too sees the scene, looks around, partly frightened and partly amazed, in search of the real Nikolai... While she is sweating cold, she still thinks that the hanged is an illusion, because she, while awake, did not see the half-elf leave the camp!
"Someone is in mood for pranks..." she mutters, still gripping the greataxe in her fists.
Chara stifles a gasp as a body falls from the tree... she clings to her pup a little bit tighter at the horrifying sight, but she knows that there's no time to lose.
"Lenn, get him down!"the she-devil orders in a panicked voice. "There might still be a chance to save him!"

Lucian staggers backwards, dropping his blanket and letting out a yelp at the sight of the hanging body. "N..Nikolai?" He says, panicked. That... couldn't really be him could it? It had to be some sort of morbid trick...right? He looks frantically to where Nikolai had gone to sleep, attempting to put himself at ease.
As he does this, he pulls out one of his daggers. If something came at them he could throw it...though with his shaking hands it would be a wonder if he managed to hit anything.

As soon as the body falls, Chara approaches runs over to Lenn and the body, praying that this is some horrible nightmare and that she didn't really just watch one of her new companions get brutally murdered. Cyrus wines, sensing Chara's horror. She whispers something soothing soothing, just as much to herself as to the pup standing next to her whimpering, as she kneels down next to the body and tries to find a pulse or any other evidence of life.

In the meantime, did Eithne find the real Nikolai? If not, she starts to consider the possibility that he really is the hanged one... but she is still very skeptical about it: who could have entered the camp, overpowered him and hanged him without anyone noticing a thing? Now, the savage stranger doesn't claim to be the best sentinel in Barovia, but not having noticed any of this would seem a bit too much...
The last of the dusk elf maidens goes to the spot where Nikolai was sleeping and starts looking for traces, to understand if someone actually managed to get close to that position, or if Nikolai simply get up and went away unnoticed, or... well, what could have happened.

Without further hesitation he jumps up and tries to cut down the rope to free his comrade.

As you are all gathered together, staring at the body hanging from the tree limb, a sleepy voice from behind you pipes up.
"Hey guys, what's going on? I had to go out into the trees to use the privy and..... Oh!... Uh, wow. That's disconcerting!... Also, that's not me."
