(So... looks like Lenn declared his actions several posts back, and unless the Commoners, Izek, or the Burgomaster is going to try to be useful, I guess it's back to Chara.)
Chara, seeing one of the children go down, realizes that there is no time to waste. She uses her Bonus Action to call down Healing light and restore 5 hit points to the child who struck down by a wolf, hopefully pulling him back from the brink of death. She then rushes to interpose herself between the remaining wolf and the two children.
"Children, get behind me!" she orders, using herself as a human... well, demon... shield. With her action, Chara casts Armor of Agathys
She'll mentally ask Ichabod to sting the remaining wolf and try to end this before anyone else gets hurt.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Frustrated and disgusted by the behavior of the "town leaders," Nikolai turns his focus to the problem at hand. Feeling the draconic power rise within him, he points at the wolf attacking him and fires bolts of power at it. The wolf is pummeled by these forces, killed in its already weakened state. Eithne, full of rage, dashes forward to help, but the wolf is already beyond this world (Eithne, you can change your action if you like; but this fight is not going to last too long (not this phase, at least).
Cole dashes forward, his hands wreathed in flames. He fires the gathered fire at the wolf who killed the boy, but the flames hit the bars of the change and dissipate.
At this point, most of the people in the square begin to scatter. The other commoners with Nikolai (including Gunnar and Golda) do indeed move behind him. Most of the square empties out. One woman does rush forward and grabs the dead child, heedless of the wolf, and begins to cradle it in her arms. Urwin Martikov also steps forward to help, stabbing with a shortsword at the wolf who killed the boy. His thrust hits true and the poor creature drops with the death blow.
For anyone who makes a DC 12 Perception check:
You notice a tall, regal woman watching you closely from the edge of the square. She makes no move to help, but she appears intrigued by your heroism.
Izek Strazni allows himself to be taken out of the square by the town guard.
With a great burst of speed, Lucian dashes around to the other side of the cage, stepping past Urwin Martikov placing himself between the one remaining wolf (still in the cage) and the commoners. (Lucian is also free to change his action)
Lucian
Please make a transformation check.
Lenn dashes forward, shouting "You come here and FACE me!" at the remaining wolf. It appears to ignore his cry.
Chara rushes to the mother holding her child and gently lays her hands on the unbreathing child's head. She calls on her patron's power and feels herself fill with light, which she sends into the boy. His skin grows ruddier and he begins to cough. The mother (who was honestly afraid you might kill her as well), thanks you profusely for restoring her son. Chara gets the feeling that her patron is very pleased. Then, turning to face the final wolf, she feels herself go from light to darkness as her body is encased in cold, black light.
The final wolf, crazed and angry, tries to leap toward Nikolai. The wolf's path takes her past Chara and the wolf falters as the freezing presence of Chara's mystical armor takes its toll on the creature. Covered in frost, it dies en route to its foe.
(OOC: Okay, so if the wolf that Lucian was originally going to attack is dead, then he would have either attacked the one in the cage, but I think Gunner is in the way right now. From what I understand, all the wolves are dead after Chara's action? So I'll change my action to accommodate for that spoiler... )
Even with this newfound speed, Lucian finds that he is still to slow as his intended target falls by Urwin's sword. He skids to a halt, preparing to do what he can about the last wolf only to feel the one inside him attempting to escape. His eyes widen and he stumbles backwards. Doing his best to even out his breathing, he looks up at his companions with fear filled eyes. This can't happen, not here, not now. He should have just stayed back and let them handle it. He was to slow anyways. He'd taken the risk for no reason...
With thousands of thoughts racing through his mind, he feels the wolf on the verge of breaking free. He stumbles, and grabs the cage for support, forcing himself to focus on his meditation. He stays there until the last wolf is dead, feeling utterly helpless in more ways than one. Shivering, he shuts his eyes and focuses on his breathing, on keeping the beast suppressed, on not killing all of his friends.
Bran notices a woman gazing at them with much interest. But he's more interested right now on checking on his colleagues. The children are safe, the adults are safe. But ... is something wrong with Lucian? He had been pretty nervous before coming here, so perhaps now that the show was over he was feeling the weight of all that uneasiness?
The bard goes to him, puts a hand on his back and crouches to be at his same height and softly says:
- Hey, buddy. We are fine. Everything turned out well. Gunnar's safe. Chara's healed the other boy. The wolves didn't fare that well, but they are resting now. Together, we gave them the peace they deserved. We can all rest now. The jamboree is over, Lucian.
Chara breathes a sigh of relief as the last wolf collapses... then realizes that something is going on with Lucian.
"Everyone... I... I think Lucian needs some space," Chara says loudly, choosing her words carefully as she looks around at her companions, the remaining civilians and... the strange person watching them (presumably pointed out by Ichabod). Well, whoever that woman watching from a distance is, she isn't Chara's top priority at the moment.
"Lucian," Chara says softly, trying to stay at arm's length while also remaining close enough to lend support if he should ask for it (in game terms, there is an open square between her and Lucian, and she's taking the Dodge action if Lucian loses control of himself). "Are... are you okay? Is there anything that you need me to do right now?"

Bran has spoken to Lucian, but upon hearing Chara's warning he just retires some steps away. He doesn't really know what is happening, but he trusts the young woman's insight. After all, she knows Lucian better than him. And the bard has the feeling they have a deep conection between them...
He instead turns to look at the regal woman that has been looking at the group. He shots a look at Lenn, to warn him to come close and be alert. He then reaches her and though the knows with a single glance that she is unharmed, Bran asks anyway:
- Excuse me, my lady. I wouldn't like to bother you but with all that has happened I was wondering if you are all right or need any help.
(OOC: Reaching out to Lenn because he's the other that passed the perception check, along with Chara who is now with Lucian)

It was all over so soon… Eithne looks at her massive blade for a moment, as if dumbfounded. She feared for her friends and for the safety of those present, but the wolves were killed quickly and without difficulty. Even the children survived... one by incredible luck (if that luck wasn't helped by someone else) and the other by a healing by Chara. The voices in Eithne's head interrupt their action. The features of the last of the dusk elf maidens are back as usual. Even her muscles have shrunk to their toned but more ordinary appearance.
The savage stranger gradually begins to notice some details: Lucian seems in trouble, Bran has gone... somewhere - and apparently Lenn too, Urwin has proved to be anything but a quiet tavern keeper - acting with his shortsword with the promptness and effectiveness of a skilled fighter.
Coming near Lucian, Eithne asks him: "Are you all right, friend? Can you get away? If you feel... if you feel you're losing control, don't panic. You enter the cage and I'll lock it from the outside. No one will get hurt. Or if you really feel urged to bite someone," she hopes joking will help the monk not give in to the beast "remember who you hate the most and bite Ichabore! Anyway, as soon as you feel like it, we'll go to sleep at the Blue Water Inn, as we all well deserved".
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lucian grits his teeth, forcing back the pain of his bones attempting to break and remodel themselves. He flinches when he feels Bran's hand on his back, but forces himself to stay calm and focus on breathing. He's vaguely aware of Bran's words, and Chara's warning for everyone to give him space, but the only response he gives is a slight tilt of his head. It takes everything he has to reign it it, and the tremors continue racking his body even once he's sure he's regained control.
When Chara asks if everything is okay, he lifts his head a little. His pupils are dilated, and he opens his mouth to speak, revealing teeth that just began to take on points. "I...I'm okay... its... I'm okay," he grimaces, letting out a muffled sound and he presses his head against the cage for a moment. "I just... need a moment." He stays there for a short while and lets out a pain-filled chuckle when Eithne offers to lock him in the cage. ...maybe it wasn't a bad idea, he'd actually considered teleporting into the cage earlier. But...no, it wasn't necessary.
"I'm... not going to bite anyone." He says, looking up and trying to sound confident. His teeth have returned to normal, and his eyes are are not quite so dilated. He is still shaking though, and still has one hand on the cage to support himself. "Th...that was close...." He diverts his gaze, rubbing his arm and clearly forcing himself to breathe evenly.
Running a hand over his face, he pointedly does not look at the dead wolves. He's glad everyone made it out alright in the end, even if all he managed to do was keep himself under control. It bothered him that he even had to worry about that. That he had been so worried upon entering the fight that he'd triggered the very thing he was worried about...and it had nearly won that time. He shivers, finally removing his hand from the cage and wrapping his arms around himself.
"I'm okay... Lets...lets go back to the inn," he says this but doesn't start moving yet.
OOC: I forgot to roll perception earlier, so here it is... 20
Chara moves towards Lucian and puts a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"I agree," Chara says to Lucian, glancing nervously at the townspeople who are probably staring now. "Let's get out of here... I think we've thoroughly fulfilled our 'civic duty' at this point." (Chara is ready to leave as soon as everyone else is.)
The lady nods curtly and says, "As I'm sure you know, this" (she gestures at the empty stages and the scattered villagers) "is what passes for leadership around here. You all intrigue me. You are both unknown to me and I had thought I knew the secrets of everyone in town. I would like to invite you to dinner at Wachterhaus, my home, 3 days hence. I have things I would like to discuss."
Everyone else:
The woman whose son was (briefly killed) looks at Charawith awe. Head bowed, she says, "You...you must be an angel! Thank you! I'll light a candle to you at St. Andral's!" She then runs off with her boy in her arms. Looking around, you notice that the other townsfolk are looking at Charawith something like awe...or fear.
Lucian, still shaking, nods to Chara and rests his hand on top of hers where she is touching his shoulder. Suddenly aware of all the people around him, and remembering the tall woman watching them... well he doesn't want to be here anymore.
Regardless, he manages a smile when the woman calls Chara an angel, and he lets out a shaky breath as the mother and child leave.
He glances over to where Lenn and Bran were talking to that tall woman, and decides that they will figure it out themselves. He glances over at Eithne and says, "I...lets get out of here." He glances at Nikolai and Cole, "If...if anyone stays, I... uh... well someone should let Lenn and Bran know that we've left." He diverts his eyes for a moment, "I'm sorry. I... well... I need to get away from all these people."
Timidly, he takes Chara's hand, and if she has no objections, begins leading her towards the Blue Water Inn. He knows this village well, and leads his friends through a faster route. Now that he knew which Inn they were looking for, he has no trouble figuring out which shortcuts would work the best and has whoever decided to follow him back at half the amount of time it took them to reach the festival. (Feature: city secrets).
