Okay. Orion, in the darkness ahead, you see one large monstrosity surrounded by several small humanoids. Prim, what you hear is a little bit of everything you mentioned: voices yelling over the commotion, animalistic bellowing, and the sounds of a skirmish.

Orion says quietly to those behind him, "It looks like maybe some goblins are fighting with a huge creature. I will try to sneak closer to see what's happening." Orion creeps cautiously forward, hoping those in the fracas are distracted enough they won't notice him. Stealth check: 23
The tunnel curves a little bit. You cannot see the skirmish. It is about 120 feet ahead of you.
As Orion moves closer to it, he sees a minotaur surrounded by what appears to be a bunch of gnomes. Fortunately, Taxidea's light is obscured by the curve in the tunnel. Neither the gnomes nor the minotaur notice your approach.
“They’re certainly more likely to be friendly than the Minotaur. Let’s help em’ out! I can season that beef with a crapload of Chromatic Orbs.”

Orion has darkvision. Maybe it would be good if Taxidea or one of the bugbears could light a torch.

Other than her backpack and sword, Prim cannot remember anything significant on which to use a Locate Object spell.

As you move through the tunnel, you hear a commotion ahead of you.

As if from out of nowhere, the minotaur is hit with a firebolt and two arrows.
