Oskar waits for the bugbear's reply. "I say meet out side the city gates 1 hour after Kraskar's estimate. Be ready to depart."
Prim, Alora, and Orion are able to find four good horses at the caravansary for 70 gp each.
Meanwhile, Oskar, Taxidea, and the bugbears head to the Goblins' Retreat neighborhood to look for wolves.
When they get there, several small goblin and bugbear children rush up to Grugnar cheering and asking for toys or candy. Somewhat embarrassed, Grugnar reaches into his pouch and takes out several pieces of candy and a couple of small rubber balls. He distributes them among the children, who squeal with glee then run off to enjoy their treats. With a shrug, Grugnar escorts you through the neighborhood to a large pen where a few large wolves are. Grugnar and Kraksar head to a small shack near the pen and enter. Varnak stays outside.
Taxidea stops in front of Varnak and looks at him for a second. "Maybe I misjudged you and Grugnar. I gotta say I thought you were joking about the riding wolves, but the fact that you weren't is...well it's a great idea - not to mention just my style." Taxidea chuckles. "Me riding a wolf is gonna be badass. I'm starting to feel like you get me," he says. "Ol' Krak-shart I'm still not sure about." Then he follows Grugnar into the shack.

Varnak smiles as he watches Taxidea go into the shack. He calmly picks up a stick from the ground, pulls out a small knife and begins whittling while humming to himself.
Meanwhile, inside the shack, Grugnar turns to see Taxidea enter. "They only have two wolves they can spare right now. One is about to have pups and cannot be ridden. The others are reserved."
"Ah, so this is the halfling who wants to ride a wolf, ay?" a short, stooped goblin with gray hair says in common as he moves out from behind a counter and sizes up Taxidea.
"Yeah, well, with these short legs it's definitely more my size." Taxidea replies. "And let's be honest - much more impressive than a pony."

"Heh, heh," the goblin laughs. "I like this one. i think we can do business."
"We will probably only need one wolf," Grugnar says. "We bugbears can walk. Besides, it's easier to scout and hide if you don't have to worry about a mount."
"Okay," the goblin says. "Let me show you what we've got." He motions for Taxidea to follow him out through a side door and into the pen. There, three wolves relax. One lays down in the shade of a roof overhang while two others play fight in the sun. "Those two over there are Perun and Thor," the goblin says pointing at the two younger wolves playing. "Either one should make a good mount for someone of your size. Have you ever ridden a wolf before?" he asks Taxidea.
"Nope - never ridden a wolf. Never knew it was an option until about 20 minutes ago to be honest," Taxidea says. "I like the name 'Thor'. 'Here comes Taxidea and his trusty wolf, Thor!' But I defer to your experience - whichever one you think is best for an inexperienced wolf-rider."

Orion's horse sniffs the apple then eagerly takes it, almost nipping Orion's fingers in the process.
The goblin whistles two long notes then a short burst. The two wolves stop their playing and look at him. The larger one lopes over and puts its head down in submission. "Well, here he is, Thor the Thunderer," the goblin says. "He should be easy enough to ride, and he'll let you know if there is any trouble in the area. Thor, this here's . . . I'm sorry. I didn't get your name."
"The House of Gilain has a small shop in the market square," the man in charge of the caravansary says. "Tack and harness will be 15 gp more per horse. That includes a riding saddle, bit and bridle. That's 95 gp total per horse; 380 gp all together."

Prim heads to the shop of Gilain and explains the situation. "Hello, I'm Primrose Perianth of the New Burgundy Perianths. I'd saved some cash in the Freeport branch. Here's my documentation of the account, my Perianth seal for ID, and my FDF badge for further ID. I need a bank note for withdrawal of 380 gp, paid to (merchant name) for 3 horses + tack & harness. Thank you very much."
After looking over your credentials, the dwarf behind the counter takes out a piece of paper and writes a note on it for the requested amount. "Tell Harry to take this to the House of Gilain next time he's in Freeport," she says as she signs the note, drips some wax from a special candle onto it, then presses her signet ring into the wax. "That will be 3 gold," she says handing you the note.
Orion has remained with his horse, getting to know her and planning for feed and other requirements. He is oblivious to whatever Prim has been doing, and delighted that he doesn't have to come up with cash.
Taxidea thanks the Goblin and pays him. He'll mount Thor to practice riding and when he gets outside he'll ride over to where Varnak is. "Well, what do ya' think? I just need to stop somewhere to get some meat for him before we leave."

"You look good up there," Varnak smiles, "but I would hold on a bit tighter in case he takes off on you, especially since he ain't got no muzzle or bridle. And were you thinking of using a saddle or riding bare back?"
