"It is already signed and sealed, Miss Perianth, and the name is Thrimbell," the lady dwarf replies to Prim as she puts the 3 gp in the till. "Thrimbel G'lenson, but my friends just call me Belle."
When she returns to the caravansary, Harry the Horseman greets Prim with a big smile. "Ah, yes," Harry replies as he takes the note. "We are taking a caravan to Freeport in the next few days. I am well acquainted with the House of Gilain there, and Belle's notes are always good there." He tucks the note into an inner pocket on his shirt. "As far as saddlebags are concerned, you might find some good ones at the market," Harry continues, "and as to feed, the horses are used to eating the grass of the Frelian Hills here, but I can throw in a couple of bags of oats if you want. Free of charge. Oh, and each of the horses can carry about five hundred pounds on their backs. That should be enough for two riders and their gear." Harry pets the nose of the mare Prim has chosen. "This bay one is called Matriarch's Brown Beauty. That dappled grey one is called The Majestrix, but I call her Trixie. She can be a bit skittish sometimes. The one your friend is feeding apples has no name yet. He is not even a yearling yet and has only been ridden a few times. The buckskin I call Bucky. He is a young one, too. Both of the colts come from Brown Beauty here and will follow her wherever she leads."

Orion, you find a shop with all sorts of bags, wallets, purses, pouches, harnesses, saddles, boots, and other leather goods. You can get a set of plain, utilitarian saddlebags for 3 gp, some ornate and fancy ones for 10 gp, and all sorts of others ranging in price between those two.
Prim says "Thank you Harry. I'll be back for the oats as soon as I get the saddlebags."
Prim leads the horse that Alora doesnt chose for Oskar & picks Matriarch's Brown Beauty for herself.
She picks 2 large, utilitarian saddle bags at the market shop. And checks to see if they have waterskins. If so, she gets 4., the bags & waterskins to be split between herself and Oskar.
"Alora, Orion, you might want to get extra waterskins for the horses."
She gets a bag of apples, gets the oats from Harry & meets the party back at the gate.
Taxidea gets the tack and finds the butcher to get meat. Then he heads to the meeting place.

Prim is stuffing heavy gear from her backpack to the saddlebags when the rest of the party gets there.
She scratches her horse behind the ear and gives her an apple. "I'm sorry dear but "Matriarch's Brown Beauty" is a long name. So if it's OK with you I'll just call you Beauty. I hope apples make up for it." She carefully puts her foot in the stirrup and climbs into the saddle.
"I'm ready", she smiles.
(OOC Prim will be mindful of feeding & watering Beauty like filling her waterskins, but to keep from writing text walls I won't always describe it)
Taxidea rides up on his wolf (assuming with Oskar and the Bugbears). "Meet Thor," he says. "You guys can keep your horses - this is a REAL mount. Aren't you boy?" He scratches Thor behind the ears.

As Taxidea arrives on Thor, the horses back away and get a little skittish. Trixie seems especially agitated by the presence of the wolf. Oskar and Alora, who is on Trixie and who got Bucky? Whoever is on Trixie, roll a DEX or STR check to see if you can hold on.
"I think you should either scout ahead with us," Grugnar tells Taxidea, "or stay in the back until the horses get used to Thor."
