Did she find any instruction books when she toured (snooped through) the ship? What did she find out when she cast Identify on the Helm?)
Prim saw everything in a bright green color while looking through the goggles.

She saw no expiration dates. The healing potions are drinkable, as is the antivenom. The antitoxin is an injection.
She did not find any instructions for the ship, but when she casts Identify on the Helm, she realizes it is used to propel and maneuver the vessel through the air, on the water, underwater, or in space. Also, she can see and hear everything happening on and around the ship. It requires attunement and concentration to use.
"I'll see what Kadakithes can procure for us," Sargent Sloan says with a smile in response to Orion's question about bullets.
(OOC: maybe build the Kevlar from elven chain? I tried it and it doesn't give disadvantage)

(What color tubes were in the phlebotomy kit? Red = no additive, orange = gelatin (to separate plasma) purple = EDTA anticoagulant, blue = citric acid anticoagulant. Could make it easy ti take samples of venom or blood from monsters for spell research.)
"Those are night vision goggles," Sargent Sloan explains. "They give the wearer a type of dark vision. They are pretty much useless in broad daylight but amazing at night."
The phlebotomy kit has mostly red tubes with only a few of each of the others.
"Oh - I wouldn't mind being able to see in the dark! Can I take those? Do you have to attune to them?"

"As for the ship," he continues, "if you choose to use it, we can send a few FDF personnel with you to act as your crew, including another spellcaster to assume the helm if you are unable to do so. You will have to learn how to use it yourself. As far as we know, this ship is unique, and our researchers have barely scratched the surface of its capabilities."
After a pause, Sargent Sloan asks, "So, what will it be? How do you want to get to the Dark Realm? The flying ship? Or goblin orb teleportation?"
Orion says, "It seems like, if we fly, we still need to breech their defenses and get into the Dark Lord's lair. If we can reliably teleport, it might save us that risk. Of course, I have no idea how risky the teleportation would be."
"So," Sargent Sloan says in reply to Orion's response, "what do you think Miss Prim and Mister Taxidea? Do you want to risk teleporting using the goblin orb we have, or would you rather take this flying ship?" He gives the hull a light pat.
"Ahem. Correct me if I'm wrong Sargent, but didn't you say the risks of the orb included, and I quote to the best of my recollection, that we:"may end up in the Dark Lord's audience chamber, laboratory, or somewhere else entirely". Furthermore the target orb may be on his person, so we'd pop into the presence of a potential lich, or the worse case scenario and again I quote, is that we could "be dragged into Acheron and have to face Maglubiyet himself without back-up."
So that's POSSIBLE, but what's PROBABLE? How likely are those to occur?"
“Well, I’d prefer not to appear directly in front of the Dark Lord if we can avoid it, but in the other hand, we’d probably be better off since we’d be at our strongest if that happened. I vote we risk teleportation.”

However, that could alert any spellcaster in the area of our intentions, including Lord Gregory Darek himself. If you take the ship, you will have to fight through the denizens of the Dark Realm and the minions of the Dark Lord to get into the fortress. Then you would still have to find the Master Orb. If we teleport you, we are fairly certain that we can get you within a few meters of the Master Orb. If we try scrying before you teleport," Sargent Sloan says, putting a hand to his chin thoughfully. "we may even be able to determine if the Master Orb is being used at that moment or not, which would let us know if Maglubiyet is sending more goblinoid troops here to Niersala.
"As for getting one of these ships," he says turning to Prim, "the technology for a more non-magical version like the colony ships has long been lost to us. With the right research team, however, we might be able to recreate some type of interstellar traveling vessel. If you choose not to use it, this unique ship will be taken to Sydney in Sudlia for that very purpose. Even the Technarch of Shivek Nage has shown some interest in this vessel and sent some of his best and brightest tinker gnomes to investigate the possibilities presented to us by this ship."
As they talk about scrying, Prim asks: "Would a Nondetection spell obscure the scrying?"

"Hmm ... ,"Sargent Sloan remarks. "I don't know about that. I suppose you could cast Nondetection on whoever is casting the scrying spell. That's something you'd have to talk to our researchers about."
Sargent Sloan nods. "Well, if you've decided, let's head back inside." He leads you back into the supply depot where Quartermaster Kadakithes gives Orion two magazines for his Beretta. That will give you forty (40) shots, which should be enough to last a while. Once you all are outfitted, Sargent Sloan leads you to another building and down a long corridor. At what appears to be the midpoint of the hallway, Sargent Sloan stops and knocks on a door, which slowly opens to let you enter. The room is filled with workbenches, counters, cupboards filled with glassware, and tables. Along one wall, shelves contain numerous large books, piles of papers, and a few rolled up scrolls. The door closes behind you, and you see a small, balding gnome with large spectacles on his nose and wearing a white cloak.
"This is Professor Potter," Sargent Sloan introduces the little man. "He is the foremost authority on the goblin orbs."
"Ah, yes," the gnome says. "Welcome to my laboratory. You must be the adventurous ones chosen to retrieve the Master Orb. Pleased to meet you." He puts out a hand in a black rubber glove.
