The last volley of shows both mundane and magical mostly find their marks against the gooey blobs of fiery doom as you retreat back through the hall that you came in through, eventually making them slow to a stop where they explode in their final wiggle. The oozes are dead.

But now you find yourselves down the hall some, filling with water slowly, as several oozes from the last chamber that Globbagool protected you from last time begin to splash your way!
Although she tried to keep distance, the explosion with which the blobs finally pass through is so violent that it splashes acid all the way to Khessa!
The blonde arcane warrior is so surprised that she can't help but watch in amazement as the splashes rain down on her, causing various scattered minor burns.
Unless something prevents him, Khessa has every intention of not letting the new blobs reach her!

The blonde arcane warrior runs up to the trap she had fallen into - but this time, since the pit is clearly visible, she simply jumps it and continues on (well, before continuing, she stops and helps the less athletic companions to jump in turn, extending their arms and catching them, if they miss the jump by a little).
Khessa you start to notice as you run back to the halls that one, the water is now over your ankles (but still filling up the pit trap for a few more moments), and two, it is getting noticeably harder to breathe. Maybe lighting the oozes on fire wasn't the best idea in a space with dwindling air after all...
You all run down the no-longer-trapped hall as it takes a left turn and you can see then that all 4 halls end up in the same place. Here you are met with a stone door with more etchings of waves and tentacles, although much of it has worn away as well.
Khessa tries to open the door. Opens? (And if so, what's inside?)
Meanwhile she calls the ooze friend: "This way Globbagool! Come with us! A true adventurer, no matter how oozy it is, must never fall too far behind its group".

"Well, a door at least, let's see if we can open this," Katryl says. She tries to simply push the door open, or if there is a latch or handle she tries to open it that way. Barring that, she studies the door for any signs of a way to open it. (Investigation: 11)
Globbagool slowly begins to ooze down the hall. "I'm coming! What did you find!?" They're still a bit slow but after another minute or two the start to come down the one hall, taking up the entire width of that hall. "Oooh a door!"
You check out the door out and after playing around with the various etchings for a bit you find one tentacle that has some give to it, and manage to slide it down slightly and the door begins to swing away from you slowly.

Katryl steps back a bit from the opening door, trying to stay out of sight of anything that might be inside for a moment at least. She does try to get a peak at whatever is beyond. (Perception: 16)

Meanwhile: "Exactly Globbagool, a door! Maybe it leads out of here! We must find a way out before the water fills this place. Speaking of this, are you feeling crack in the floor or in the walls? If we detect any and we can broaden them, maybe the water can exit from there..."
