Ebzer will try a Stonecunning roll ( 20 ) to see if he can gain any insight as to where in the caves they have explored might have higher ground, or potential exits out of this catacomb.
(Bah. The original roll was a 15, tried to fix the formatting and it changed :(

We don't believe you! We trust what we are seeing! 20 it is 😉
You put your heads together as the water continues to rise and recall that there was an earthen passage and room earlier where water was also flowing into.
"Now that we have out our heads together, I recall that there was an earthen passage and room earlier where water was also flowing into..." Khessa remember, leading there.
And once there: "Globbagool, two important things; the first: did you happen to grab the shinies you mentioned? Katryl had already asked you, but then you didn't find the time to answer her... While instead it could be important. The second: as I said, we are looking for a way out; you, who are able to ooze... can you check if you find cracks in the walls or in the floor behind which there is empty space? If so, maybe the section can give way if we work on it and perhaps it would be enough to widen the cracks a little, then the weight of the flowing water could open up the passage completely..."
"Oh! I ..uhm...no...someone said something about shinies and then the blobs showed up and everyone ran so I was following you!"They squished closer eventually. "Wow the water is getting high!"They begin to slowly slide around the earthen room as water continues to drain into this sunken area.
Katryl shakes her head as Khessa again runs off in another direction. "Yea, the place where all the water seemed to be coming in because of the cracks in the walls. I'd wanted to see if there was something we could do in that cavern but you had already run off." She hurries to make sure she keeps up. "What was your plan? Do you have a way to stop the water? Or are you thinking to just break through the wall?"

Or are you thinking to just break through the wall?"
"Break through the wall might be an idea..." Khessa ponders "If Globbagool can just ooze through the cracks already there, scout a little and tell us if there is empy space nearby... Hear the cracks are bigger. Maybe with some maul and axe blows we can open a way. We only have to be sure there is safety near - and not only water everywere".
Globbagool searches the area for several painstaking minutes before you hear their thoughts again. "Not much down here. Water is splashing down though! I can't reach that high though. Oooh look I'm floating on the water now! Wheeee!"
"Ok..." Khessa thinks, concerned "No weak spots on the floor, no weak spots on the walls..." she looks up "The only weak spot seems to be there. The point the water is coming from. If the water comes from a space it does not fill completely... a cavern with a ceiling for example... we might be able to reach it".
"It could even be a quick work," the blonde arcane warrior keeps reflecting "because the weight of the water should help enlarging the breach. But the point is: if there is no space up, by enlarging the breach we will only make things worse for us. We need to send Globbagool to scout up. But how to help it to climb?"
"Globbagool," the tall adventuress tries to ask "can you scout up by sticking to the walls? Oozes are usually climbing champions... If you only could force yourself in the crack and scout a little, telling us if there is void space somewhere, you'd be the greatest ooze hero ever!"
"Or maybe..." Khessa's blue eyes look with hope in the purple ones of Traydark "Darkwing? He is a bat... He detects things with the helps of sound - and sound is not blocked by water - on the contrary, sound travels quicker in water! And he can fly. If he only could scan with his senses inside the crack, just to tell us if he detects void space somewhere near..."

Frustrated over wading through the still rising water, the noble drow's impatience with the team's situation grows steadily, now sending his familiar up to scout above for any place of egress from these annoying tunnels.
Globbagool responds the they are unable to climb (gelatinous cubes can't climb like other oozes can).
Darkwing flies about for a bit, muttering annoyingly as well about all of the water, but that he suspects there is more water over the cave they are in but hard to know for sure.

(OOC: OK, there's more water - that I also believe, otherwise it would stop filtering. But the point is: is there also emptiness nearby? Or is all the space they can perceive occupied by water?)
Khessa meanwhile thinks: 'Fate has a truly exquisite irony... Thanks to the giants, we have a powerful tool of divination. With that, we could ask plants for information. As well as animals. Or even the dead! And where do we end up? Obviously in a place where there is nothing of the kind! Darn...'
"Wonderful..." Khessa comments, sarcastically "Globbagool can't climb and Darkwing can't give us certainty if there is a void above or not..."
The blonde arcane warrior tries to estimate, based on the elapsed time and how fast the water has risen in the meantime, how much time the group has to live.
"If we wanted to go back to better inspect the fountain room (there were no good cracks, but there could be a secret passage), we would have to fight with four oozes..." the tall adventurer considers "It took us... maybe a minute, to kill the two who had come out of the traps? If those are similar, eliminating four will take us another two minutes. Then it will take time to search... But we also must save enough time to widen the breach here, if we do not find any other way! So maybe... other 5 minutes?"
(OOC: How many minutes does Khessa estimate we have before we drown?)
"Ebzer," the blue-eyed woman also asks "maybe you dwarfs are used to orienting yourself in underground tunnels... can you estimate if the crack in the ceiling from which the water is entering is about the same height as the passage we were walking through before the earthquake? Because if at least the height were compatible, we would have one more reason to hope that, near the water, there could perhaps be a continuation or a branch of the tunnel we were traveling through before..."
With the other door open and adding water to everything as well, you estimate it's probably at least 30 minutes before things really start getting dicey. However, you left the door open and the oozes are now closing in on you all once more!
"We should have enough time to get rid of these and finish checking the fountain chamber" Khessa says, already starting summoning the power of fire. "Globbagool, try letting in only one at a time! And we focus on the one who enters. Let's destroy them!"
And with that, the blonde arcane warrior tries to blast the ooze the party had injured already before leaving the fountain chamber.

"It would really help if these oozes would stop coming after us!" Katryl says. "Do you really think breaking those cracks will help us? I mean, that's got to let more water in. If Globbagool can't get through there to check, then we're just shortening how long we have here!"
If the other ooze are now close enough to fire upon, Katryl will use her Shortbow to hit the nearest one. (Shortbow Attack: 19 Damage: 9)
Eldeth likewise fires her Longbow at the ooze. (Longbow Attack: 6 Damage: 5) (Longbow Attack: 24 Damage: 18)

...
"I know Katryl... and that's why I would have preferred either Globbagool or Darkwing to be able to give us a confirmation or a denial..." Khessa admits "Personally, I hope we find a different way out. I think I'll ask some fish about it, as soon as we get rid of these oozes. If only some fish passed by or fell here with the water... The crystal that the giants gave us allows us to cast a spell to speak to animals. It will always be another possibility. But if we don't find another exit... we must be ready to consider this one, as our last hope".
