Lunaria averts her gaze as they come upon the scene, having no interest in watching such savage slaughter. Perhaps, if they are patient, the vicious lord and his pack will move on. She doubts very much that they kill to eat--it seems much more likely they are interested in the hunt and thrill of killing their prey.
Khessa watched the fight with concern: she was right about the clash between Yeenoghu's and Baphomet's forces - but she expected a more balanced battle, not a Demon Lord leading a host of followers against a single opposing demon. As it is, the hope that the two factions could weaken each other quickly fades, long before the lone demon, doomed from the start of the battle, actually collapses to the ground.
With a gesture as natural as breathing, during the unequal fight the blonde arcane warrior took out her armored spellbook and began to take note of the real appearance of the terrible Demon Lord and the way he fights. She gasps in surprise, witnessing the scene of the hyenas becoming gnolls and mutters (also noting this incredible process on the pages of the tome that collects her arcane knowledge): "So this is how Gnolls are created! Although they probably also developed a s3xual reproduction strategy - they certainly can't rely only on their Lord alone to proliferate..."
Aware of the futility of a frontal assault against the victorious force (practically still intact), the tall adventurer suggests: "Let's try to wait... I also believe that they do not kill out of hunger, but out of hatred... or occasionally to generate more Gnolls, as we have just seen. As soon as they leave the body of the Goristro alone, we remove his heart and assume cloud form again - even the heart we carry will become cloud-like and we can take it away".
The noble drow watches, admittedly in awe, as the filthy mangy demon lord Yeenoghu tears apart the massive Goristro demon. They could not possibly hope to fight a demon lord so he motions firmly for the others to stay put. They could only hope the pack would leave soon and hopefully they would be able to retrieve that Goristro heart and possibly even some drawn blood from the demon lord. He could not believe their luck here, fate suddenly seemed to be on their side. He hoped they would not need to put their trust to luck alone in the time to come as it had a habit of running out.
(Great. Everyone who watches the scene unfold needs to make a Wisdom saving throw. DC 15 or you will gain a level of madness, themed after what you witnessed. You may not use any spells to help since you have all been in cloud form.)
“The flesh of other intelligent creatures is delicious!”
(OK, the fact that she calls anything other than cabbage 'delicious' will surely indicate to anyone who knows her that she has contracted some form of madness. Luckily, Lulu will be able to heal us as soon as we level up. Greater restoration is a 5th level spell...)
(Horkas Wis save: 7 Curse roll: 38 - “The flesh of other intelligent creatures is delicious!”)
Horkas watches the scene unfold, intent on studying the transformation of hyenas to gnolls. At some point, he starts to wonder what life as a wild creature would be like - living off the land, hunting and eating your prey. He wonders what that would taste like, and if he would prefer the flesh cooked or raw. Then he wonders what gnoll tastes like, perhaps with a thick garlic sauce and a loaf of fresh, still warm pumpernickel bread to sop up the juices...
You have only a few minutes left on your cloud spell for the day, but it could be enough to get away quickly if you wish. On the other hand there is a dead goristo which you need the heart of for the ritual later, just laying on the ground dead. The demon lord and his posse are still relishing in the kill for the moment. As some of you reel from the demonic gory scene, what would you all like to do?
While still in cloud form, Katryl will try to find a spot where she will not be seen by the gnolls. She does not want to go far but does not want to just appear in front of them.
Khessa, intrigued as she is by how appetizing the freshly slaughtered Goristro's flesh must be, also retreats with her companions to hide. In order to do anything with the corpse, from removing its heart to cutting a slice of meat from its thigh to cook and eat it, the victors must first be out of the way... It is necessary to wait.
"That Goristro's flesh must be truly delicious..." the blonde arcane warrior murmurs, her mouth watering "It must be like beef, but with that unexpected and everchanging abysmal chaotic aftertaste! I can't wait to taste it! It must be a delight comparable only to cabbage..."

(While you are formulating a plan, I will mention that the heart of the goristo is huge. As in it weighs at least 100lbs huge.)

Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
You have only a few minutes left on your cloud spell for the day, but it could be enough to get away quickly if you wish. (Katryl's roll for madness: 16 - “I get caught up in the flow of anger, and try to stoke others around me into forming an angry mob.”)
Rabbit Sebrica, Sorcerer || Skarai, Monk || Lokilia Vaelphin, Druid || Liivi Orav, Barbarian || Vanizi, Warlock || Britari / Halila Talgeta / Jesa Gumovi || Neital Rhessil, Wizard
Iromae Quinaea, Cleric || Roxana Raincrest, Rogue || Meira Dheran, Rogue || Qirynna Thadri, Wizard || Crisaryn Melkial, Sorcerer
(How appropriate for Katryl? :D lol. )
While still in cloud form, Katryl will try to find a spot where she will not be seen by the gnolls. She does not want to go far but does not want to just appear in front of them.

Easy enough for Katryl to move backward down the tunnel some out of line of sight of the gnolls.
Cloud-Lulu will follow after Cloud-Katryl, entirely ignorant for now of the Madness her companions have been taken by.
