As they took their rest, after she'd had a moment to recover a bit, Katryl tells the others, "When I went back to that room with the broken fountain, I did manage to find those shinnies that Globbagool mentioned." She pulls out the coins from her pack (41 gp, 112 sp) as well as the 3 green-gold bracelets (25 gp ea.) and sets them on the ground. "Then there were these two containers." And she pulls out the [Tooltip Not Found] and [magilitem]oil of slipperiness[/magicitem] and sets those near the coins. Lastly, she takes out the dagger with a spider design on the hilt, the [Tooltip Not Found]. "This is definitely magical. I might keep it, though I suppose this is more than like a drow weapon." She looks to the others to see what they think of dividing the items. ...
"Thank you so much Katryl!" Khessa takes her own share of coins "All this will surely come in handy! And keep the dagger, you're probably the person it's most useful to… I don't think Traydark wants to claim it for himself".
"About the Potion of Healing (Greater) and the vial containing the Oil of Slipperiness..." the blonde arcane warrior meditates "Any of us has received fewer potions than the others until today? If so, they could take them ... If not, we draw lots to whom they go".
With Katryl dividing up the treasure she found, the noble drow simply accepts and pockets his share with an affirming nod. "You keep that and make good use of it." He says with a small smile to the genasi.
Traydark would wander in silence, contemplating what they may be facing once they reach Neverlight Grove. As the they reach the Myconid settlement he looks around with great suspicion, expecting the Lady of Fungi to have fully corrupted this place by now. They couldn't hope to confront Zuggtmoy if she was present here but at least they could find out more about the demonic incursion and rid themselves of their annoying fungoid freeloaders.
Ebzer and Silas trudge along after the others, lost in their own thoughts, looking unhappily like exactly what they are: wet, weary and bedraggled. When they near the myconid village though, the bioluminescence seems to cheer the duergar up a bit. "Loverly..."he mutters to himself, looking around in wonder.
Stool seems happy to be back home, and he and Rumpadump hop down and begin traipsing off through the mushroom groves. They seem too excited to be back home to worry about dangers.
Pale cream and beige stalks grow thick and tall, resembling a surface world forest. Fungi grow in profusion everywhere, and it’s hard to find anything resembling a path between them. The giant caps of zurkhwood mushrooms obscure your view of the cavern’s ceiling, but luminescent fungi there give off a shimmering aura. With each step taken on the soggy ground, a rank scent of decay rises around you.
Unfortunately, they get just a bit too far ahead of you so your familiars are a second too late to warn them about a rising mass on the fungal floor, and a mossy mound begins to rise up!
(OOC: Well, since after all we're all before the Mound anyway and Rob isn't posting, in the meantime I'll proceed with Khessa's turn)
As the mossy mound begins to rise up, Khessa runs to intervene between the Stool - Rumpadump couple and the threat that has just appeared, warning them: "Be careful! Stay behind me! Or even better, go back behind the others!"
The tall adventure instructs Anator telepathically: 'When we are close to it, fly towards its head suddenly, brother of mine, distract it...'
The blonde arcane warrior arrives with her magical greatsword already in hand, Anator on her shoulder... and as soon as the bat and as soon as the bat flies to distract the opponent, she throws a diagonal slash against the plant enemy.
(OOC: Anator takes the Help, giving Khessa advantage - a familiar can't attack... but nothing forbids it to take the help action)
The noble drow snarls and backs up as the the mound before them starts moving, as if the ground itself was corrupted by the Queen of Fungi, and he swiftly curses the nefarious being before blasting it with purple eldritch force.
Khessa is frustrated and worried, seeing the two myconid friends flatly ignore her advice and instead start 'running' (if moving at their speed can be defined as such) into the unknown (and probably towards other dangers): "Stool! Rumpadupm! What the f**k are you thinking!? Stay behind us! Are you so eager to meet, alone, other welcome committees like this!?"
'Come on brother...' the blonde arcane warrior then instructs Anator 'Like before! It was perfect! It is so nice to be together again...'
And as soon as the bat flutters around the mound, distracting it, the tall adventuress' powerful muscles instantly snap, unleashing another mighty slash.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Katryl holds her position to take better aim at the mound. (Bonus Action - Steady Aim) She then fires again at the mound. (Shortbow Attack: 19 Damage: 10 + 5)
Eldeth also stays with Katryl, firing her longbow at the mound. (Longbow Attack: 22 Damage: 3) (Longbow Attack: 22 Damage: 9)
"Do we just let them go, or go after them?" Katryl asks Khessa. "Maybe they know of somewhere to hide?"
"I really don't understand their plan..." Khessa admits "They aren't exactly speedsters... I'm afraid if we follow them, the Mound will catch up with us and them - and we'll have to fight anyway. I really don't understand why they didn't stay with us, in the rear... But at this point I'd rather take down this creature - hopefully it won't take too long, then reach the myconids".

(Is the mind just rising up? Moving? Going after anyone?)
Seeing the possible danger, Katryl slows up. She grabs her shortbow, knocking an arrow to be ready to fly if the mind does any sign of hostility.
(READY - Shortbow Attack: 14, Damage: 12)
Eldeth also prepares her Longbow.

Stool and Rumpadump make a run for it deeper into the grove. Globbagool is still making their way toward the rest of you.
Round 2:
Khessa is frustrated and worried, seeing the two myconid friends flatly ignore her advice and instead start 'running' (if moving at their speed can be defined as such) into the unknown (and probably towards other dangers): "Stool! Eldeth misses
Traydark hits
Ebzer hits
Silas hits with a solid shot of guiding bolt
The mound misses with both attacks
Globbagool spits a blob of acid at the mound and jiggles happily as a tiny bit of it sizzles slightly
(How and who is the mound attacking?)
Assuming she is still well removed from the moving mound, Katryl again stays put (Steady AIm) and fires at the mound.
(Shortbow Attack: 28 Damage: 13)
Eldeth will remain with Katryl, continuing to fire at the mound as well.
