(If we attack any of the troglodytes with faerie fire on them, we get advantage...)
- The artificer/fighter wades into melee (DC 12 Con save: 8=( only to nearly retch from the smell of the nasty reptilian creatures! The steel defender stays near Horkas, ready to deflect an attack on him. - The steel defender strides in next, striking the same troglodyte (if it hasn't gone down yet, or the next one close to Horkas) with hits metal gauntlets. (Attack 1: 23 Damage: 9 == Attack 2: 14 Damage: 12) - Both of the constructs stay within 5' of Horkas and will use their reactions to shield the gnome (either adding +2 to Horkas' AC or imposing disadvantage on the attacker.)
"Ugghhh - that stench! Like week-old training clothes stuffed into an air-tight box with funky cheese and the sewer remains of a kingdom after a bad street food festival!!!"
(Oh - forgot Bless for the saving throw! add 4 to it...)
Katryl directs the Emerald Scouts to continue firing at the troglodytes to the left, surrounding Horkas, Khessa, and the veterans. (If the 9 troglodytes to the right are not all killed by Traydark's fireball.) Katryl takes one of the beads from the Necklace of Fireballs and throws it to also cover all 9 of the troglodytes. (DEX Save DC 15 or take 30 fire damage, half on save)
(If the troglodytes to the right are all killed by Traydark's fireball.) Katryl holds her position (Steady Aim) and fires at another of the Troglodytes to the right side near Horaks, Khessa, and the veterans. (Shortbow Attack: 18, Damage: 7 + 19 sneak attack)
"Not unlike after ye take yer armor off, then, Kas," Lulu calls out, making light even as her muscles tense at sight of her friend surrounded. Especially with more on the way. "Ye cannae convince me it compares to Eau de Gnome!"
Jaw tightening beneath a wry smile, she sends her Spiritual Weapon to his aid along with a streak of pure, divine energy to even the odds against him.

OK, it looks like Khessa & Infantry are all melee with the troglodytes again, so... DC 12 Constatituon Saves (this time taking into account already that Khessa is blessed):
Khessa: 24 Hora Nabal: 18 Sylrien Havennor: 10 Olaf Renghyi: 8 Elias Drako: 22 Tamryn Tharke: 16
Regarding the descriptions of the battle in general, I understand that we are favoring summary over detail - I try to adapt: Khessa and the infantry continue to fight in melee. Khessa, as much as possible, tries to keep Thora, who is injured, in a more sheltered position and on the contrary tries to keep herself (also considering that she is Blurry) in the most dangerous positions, those in which you are subject to most attacks.
If Khessa and the infantry manage to eliminate enough enemies to maneuver, they try to form a line, blocking access to the plateau, so that the troglodytes cannot surround them, but have to face them head-on, line against line. If possible, of course.

Horkas sees the divine intervention as trogs drop around him, and he waves at Lulu with a cheerful smile, He and the mechs continue crushing troglodyte flesh and bone, their bludgeoning attacks designed to cripple and drop their adversaries rather than kill them.
Horkas Con save (Blessed): 22 Horkas attack (Blessed): 14 damage: 7 Skitter force rend: Attack: 16 Damage: 11
The noble Drow uses the black rod to regain some eldritch power while the zhent mercerenaries move to guard the side tunnel in case anyone would approach from that direction.
Seeing the mounted Troglodytes, Lulu wonders if they couldn't use more giant lizards themselves. She didn't like the idea of killing the creatures simply because of their masters. So, as she directs her weapon to take another strike at whatever foe remains within reach, she calls out to them in the Speech of Beast and Leaf.
"[Throw yer masters from yer backs, friends, and join us! Ye shall be well-fed and treated far kinder with our company--just ask yer kin.]" She motions to her own giant lizard mount. "[And when our mission is complete, we'll set ye free so that yer life may be yer own again--under no one's command!]"
((Round 3 Action: Persuade the lizard mounts to buck off their trogs and join them. Bonus Action: Spiritual Weapon attack: 12 to hit | 12 force dmg))
The Zhents quickly subdue a few trogs that burst through the tunnel wall ensuring the back ranks are safe.
Everyone else quickly now disposes of the remaining trogs, save for the few on mounts, which, thanks to Lulu, are at a standstill, acting very confused. The trogs then hop off and run toward Horkas, Skitter, and the Shield Guardian where they can be easily picked off. (Make an animal handling check to convince the mounts to go with you)
Once they are dead, the cavern goes quiet once more save for the gentle babble of the stream that runs through nearby.
(Sorry, forgot I rolled it earlier and to include it in the post lol! Animal Handling: 15)
Lulu sighs sadly at sight of all the dead--a veritable massacre--then slides down the slope to see to anyone injured or poisoned. "Do we need to take a rest before moving on? Do a bit of searching here? I need to see to those other prisoners as well. They seemed on their last legs from what ye said."
((Lulu would not take it for herself, but would gladly use that +2 longsword if no one else wants it btw!))
(You're fine. The animals seem ambivalent toward you for the most part. Perhaps they were thoroughly and harshly trained by the trogs are just aren't too sure what to do now without them. They might go with you, but they might rebel later on too, hard to say.)
"Yes, we should perhaps free those actual prisoners before we proceed."The noble Drow agrees. "Maybe they have some useful information for us so that we can actually find what we're looking for and not simply wander around in these warrens without any real plan or direction."He adds a bit dryly. Traydark would then use the secret passage to the east to get to the prisoners, closely guarded by the earth elemental servant and the zhent mercenaries.
Khessa compliments Horkas and the infantrymen for the excellent performance in the critical situation in which they found themselves... surrounded by enemies who wanted them dead and whose smell alone could make it difficult to fight, they did not give in and managed to prevail without losses.
The blonde arcane warrior also compliments those who supported the action from range, such as Traydark, Katryl, Lunaria, the Scouts and the Zhentarim... in particular, she is enthusiastic about the gentle firbolg's initiative to make friends with the Giant Lizard mounts of the Troglodytes: "Way to go, Lulu! When I saw them, I also thought that they could be useful to us... but I didn't remember that you were able to talk to them! Plus, lucky us, they proved to be more intelligent and reasonable of their owners... Better for us and better for them! Oh, by the way... pretty please... could you take a look at Thora's wound here?”[[ OOC: Thora Nablan, the blonde infantrywoman with braids, has taken 18 damage out of the 58 maximum HP she has ]]
"Easy, Khessa! It's just a scratch..." the Gauntlet woman tries to downplay it.
"Thora," the blue eyed woman sighs "those monsters had enough dirt on them to stink enough to stun you from 10' away... Can you imagine how clean their weapons would be? Allow Lulu to fix you up, before you get an infection, will you?"
The tall adventuress's next thought is the poor prisoners of the Troglodytes... and hearing the noble drow as he mentions them and heads in their direction, presumably to free them, she runs to reach him: "I'm coming too, Traydark! Who knows how bad they must have had it, those poor people! I imagine that slavery awaited them... if not some blood sacrifice... or a very big pot in which to be cooked over a slow fire. It will seem like a miracle to them, to be freed instead!"
[[ OOC: As far as weapons are concerned, Khessa is quite happy with Dawn... Lunaria (or whoever needs it) can keep the Troglodytes' magical sword. And examining the loot of the defeated tribe is the least we can do... No resources to waste in the Underdark ]]
"Yes, a miracle in dire need of directions, let's hope they will be grateful as well as informed about the Wormwrithings." The noble drow says dryly as he proceeds down the secret tunnel towards the prisnoners.
