 The trapdoor from floor one to floor two is open. Anyone can easily move between floors. However, the trapdoor to the roof is shut.

Khessa is sincerely saddened by what she learns and this is clear in her voice: "Oh, I'm sorry! To be at home and be killed by something you couldn't even see... Whatever it was, it must have been clever, to overcome the defenses of the tower without you even realizing it".

And the corpse crumbles into boney dust, the magic fading.

Hearing the response from the tragic remains of the former master of this magical tower, the noble drow steps over to the door and speaks the command word to see if the answer had been truthful. He is then ready to proceed upstairs, prepared to send his earth elemental servant up first to deal with the shadowy winged creatures above.

Khessa stands next to Traydark, uttering a short formula while grasping the rod she uses as magical focus and then murmuring to him: "Let me go first... Better if any hostile creatures focus on me".

The noble drow merely nods, knowing the arcane warrior was quite able to take on whatever lurked above, ready to cover her from below with his eldritch magic.

Horkas continues to stand at the ready...

Lulu grasps the prayer bead of Blessing and Blesses Khessa, Horkas, and herself. She too is ready to engage. 

The earth elemental rises through the trapdoor and is immediately beset by a pair of demonic looking shadows.

(Simple combat order: group/elemental > shadow demons)

Group up!

The elemental barely made up to the floor before the shadows attacked, so they are all clumped around the trapdoor.

The massive earth elemental servant turns on the shadowy demons and smashes them with it's mighty fists.

Slam: 25 Bludgeoning: 13
Slam: 27 Bludgeoning: 15


From below, the noble drow tries to get a clear shot, and if so he blasts the shadowy demons with purple eldritch crackling force.

Eldritch Blast: 28 Force: 12
Eldritch Blast: 24 Force: 15

(Extra crit damage Slam: 6 and Force: 1 )

 Slam 1 hits, 2 does not as the elemental crashes around the shadowy entities. (Shadow Demon A: 53/66 with the 2 extra from the crit)

Traydark blasts it hard threading the needle up through the trapdoor. (Shadow Demon A: 28/66 with the crit damage)

Khessa launches into combat with the two shadowy enemies, enveloping them in Dawn's light, positioning herself to attack them from the opposite side of the elemental and threatening them both.

'Time for the creatures of darkness to see some light, isn't it Dawn?' the blonde arcane warrior smiles, communicating telepathically with her sentient weapon, while the blade of light draws rapid arabesques in slashing at the two dark entities.

[[ OOC: I don't know if the light damages or annoys these creatures in any way, Khessa however also has the spell she just cast active, Protection From Evil And Good so there is good hope that these two enemies have Disadvantage to attack her. She directs Dawn's slashes first at the creature that has already been struck, hoping to finish it off. If the first slash finishes off the wounded enemy, she obviously directs the next slash at the other opponent. ]]

Khessa's Multiattack with Dawn:

Attack 1: 17 Damage: 10 (radiant)

Attack 2: 27 Damage: 10 (radiant)

Being that they are beings made of shadow, the blinding radiance burns intensely and the first shadowy demon fizzles into nothing.
