"It's him!" Khessa whispers, pointing Droki to her companions "Let's hide behind an illusion, near the exit, before he sees us... and as soon as he passes, let's jump on him".
Ebzer grumbles about "hiding" but can see the value of a good ambush, so he joins the others. Silas follows along in his characteristic taciturn manner.
As soon as Droki gets close enough, Khessa thinks briefly: 'In moments like this, it would be nice to have tentacles like Demogorgon's... but, oh, well, never mind...' after which she tries to launch herself on the derro and grapple him (hoping that her companions do the same - or at least something else to capture the prey).
With an evil glee, Traydark uses his drow magic to hide the team behind an illusory wall and as Droki draws near the noble drow instead creates a fearsome wall of fire behind the elusive derro to hinder him from escaping again, leaving to his companions to incapacitate their quarry in any gruesome way they would see fit.

Rolling Strength (Athletics) to grapple* the derro (if some other roll is needed before, just tell me): 14
* a Strength (Athletics) check contested by the target’s Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check (the target chooses the ability to use). You succeed automatically if the target is incapacitated. If you succeed, you subject the target to the grappled condition.

With the pesky derro under control, the noble drow bravely steps forward, his purple piercing eyes staring down at the quarry. "Surrender yourself and you might still avoid the torture I have in mind for you."

"Traydark, dear, I really think you are one of the most fearsome drow ever, but this poor soul is probably insane..." Khessa notes "I doubt he really understands you - or cares about you. Just take my rope and bind him; it will be quicker than bringing him to reason".
The noble drow scoffs at the mad derro, the pathetic creature not even having the capacity to understand what grim torture he would have thought up, instead grabbing really large rope from the really large backpack of the really large arcane warrior as Khessa practically sits on their quarry to keep the mad tentacle hatter immobile while Traydark roughly ties him up. "Now can we get back and report to Captain Blackskull?"

"Of course!" Khessa embraces the drow noble (taking care not to crush him) and pats everyone else on the shoulder "Our mission has been a complete success! Only one last thing: we had to deliver the derro, not his goods..."
So the blonde arcane warrior starts searching the prisoner. First of all, she frees him of his magical boots (she remembers all too well how they can speed up someone when activated): "Pfff! Maybe we should wash them before using them ourselves, but I bet we'll find them very useful".
After that, she also searchs him thoroughly, keeping everything that seems dangerous (weapons, for example...) or valuable (coins, rings, jewelry, things of fine craftmanship...).
"Any chance you can return to normal size now?" Traydark mutters to the blonde giantess, swiftly sidestepping the hug that would almost certainly crush his frail body. Wrinkling his nose at the stinking boots, the noble drow then uses his powerful magic to clean them up for later use.
Droki thrashes even harder as you begin to search his things, until one of you manage to incapacitate him. Once he is subdued, you can take his boots of speed and find 1g 10sp, a spell cross of See Invisibility, two potions of healing, a worthless collection of dead vermin (spiders, centipedes, and the like) in various states of decomposition, pages of lizard-skin parchment held together between two leather covers from two different books, pages are full of mad scribbles and arcane formulas, and a a mithral medallion worth 125 gp. The medallion is a holy symbol of Laduguer, set with a carving depicting an arrow breaking on a shield.

"I will soon, dear," Khessa explains "but first I'd like to secure the dragon egg... If I return to normal size, the same fate will suffer my backpack... and to carry the egg it will be a little more difficult and a little less discreet. We would have to carry it in our arms - and we can do it, sure, but it would be more uncomfortable, plus everyone would see what we are carrying. Instead... better if only we know we have it, right? If we go to the bazaar (where we will have to go anyway to sell the platinum medallion), we buy a very large and sturdy sack (and perhaps stuff it with straw)... afterwards we will be able to take the egg with us more easily and without getting too much attention (or at least without making it clear what we are transporting)".
And with this, if nobody has anything against it, the blonde arcane warrior divides the last loot found (OOC: division proposal in the OOC thread - feel free to discuss if you don't agree - else just choose who takes the boot and who the potions) then loads Droki, tied and passed out, on her shoulder and makes the way towards the bazaar first, then towards the 'dear' employer Errde.
Katryl agrees that it is definitely time to get out of these tunnels. "Hopefully out of the city soon," she adds. "Where do we have to take that hand anyhow?" She's more than willing to readily make her way out.

Katryl nods at Khessa's comment, moving to a position where they can all group together and Droki would be forced to pass them. Eldeth follow suit.

You all find a recess in the wall to push back into right before Droki climbs back up out of the mound, humming to himself.

The mad derro shrieks for a moment before Khessa leaps out and tackles him with a thud. He is a feisty one but he is grappled.
"Come on guys!" Khessa calls her friends to help "Bind him with a rope while I keep him 'entertained'! I have one in my backpack, if you don't!"

The derro thrashes about but is well tied down, gnashing his teeth and hissing.

Due to the unique nature of the Whorlstone tunnels, once you leave them the mushroom effects begin to wear off over the next few minutes.
