Once he begins eating, Maisor begins looking around and noticing the solemn faces of all of his companions. After consuming about half of his dish, he stands, places his pan flute under his lips, and plays a short melody. He then releases the flute and begins walking around the table singing. He sings a beautiful song using words that are harsh and guttural. Yet, the words do not diminish the beauty of the song. He makes eye contact with all of those sitting at the table from across the surface as he walks in a slow circle. The song ends as he returns to his seat and he sits again to continue eating.
OOC: I've leveled up. This is a short rest, right? So, we can use hit dice if we want?
Breenie at first only picked at the flaky crust of what seemed to be one of her mother’s famous meat pies. The savory gravy and fresh vegetables sparked a little homesickness in her stomach. The Forest Master’s words brought a frown to her freckled face as she mulled the words spoken to her and to the others. It all seemed like an invasion of privacy but at the same time...
In response to Teclis’s sheepish look, Breenie mustered a weak but genuine smile. Maybe a fresh start wouldn’t hurt. She bumped her elbow against Maisor as she sat beside him, asking with raised eyebrows if he was all right. She took heart from Teric’s pragmatic attempt at good cheer.
At Lorival’s question, Breenie frowned anew. A surge of protectiveness for her old friend drove Breenie to reply, “Not if I have anything to say about it, you won’t.” There was more she’d have liked to talk about with Lorival. Breenie had been wanting to bring up the topic of magic—not big scary magic, just the few little tricks Breenie had recently started learning. But there hadn’t been a good time and now didn’t seem better.
Instead, Breenie nodded her agreement with Killian’s always eloquent simplicity. Settling in she listened to Maisor play, reassured by the music and the presence of her friends into resting a while.
As the others sleep Killian feels a nudge on him. As he wakes the he sees the Forest Master walking in the distance. Killian follows the unicorn into a glade, hanging from a tree is medallion on it is a platinum dragon. Killian takes it and there are no words he sees a war. The vision shifts there is darkness coming over the land. All Killian hears is a soft voice “ My child serve”. Killian keeps this to himself and puts the medallion on his neck under his armor.
//you are a Cleric no healing spells yet but have 2 canttips
The following morning you awake refreshed and resuppied. Those that needed armor find it in their size. Arrows and spell components are refreshed as well.

Maisor awakens. He is lying on his side in the grass. He blinks several times and then lifts himself up on one elbow and looks around. "How did we—?" He notices the others, who are also lying on the ground in the clearing, stirring as well. His eyes settle on her for a brief moment before he rolls over onto his backside and his hand brushes something. He looks over and finds leather armor lying in the grass beside him. He touches it. It looks brand new. He looks around and notices others finding "gifts" as well. Maisor stands, removes his jacket, and puts on the armor. Turning his jacket right side out again, he puts it back on, turning the collar up and grinning. He pulls his rapier from its hidden tie behind him and performs a few thrusts and parries. Returning the rapier to its place, he looks around and laughs. "What a glorious morning!" he announces. "I haven't this good in ages." Maisor enjoys breakfast with his companions. Just as they are finishing, his eyes widen and his mouth drops. "No, no, no," he says quietly, backing up.

I don't remember if I mentioned this before, but everyone but Teclis will have a recollection that Maisor is quite afraid of all animals. I'm assuming that "Pegusi" are the winged horse type.
The horror of the day before is replaced by the wonder of the new day dawning. Lorival wakes after what was probably the best sleep of her life.
Sitting up on a bed of soft bracken she looks over at her waking friends and feels the soft supply velvet of her robes against her skin. The look freshly cleaned and hung. At her side her things are like wise cleaned arranged, refreshed, and refilled.
"This is more like it!"She says happily. She looks over to Maisor, "Thanks you my dear friend for your song last night, it was a light in the darkness."

She begins to laugh at her friends consternation when confronted by the Pegasus, but ends up dong a double take of her own. They were far larger than she would have expected and had a much more powerful presence when compared to farm horses!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rumpled from sleeping on the ground, although not entirely unused to doing so, Breenie rubs the sleep from her eyes and attempts, without much success, to smooth at least some of the frizz from her braid. She shakes out her cloak, which she’d used as a blanket, and refastens it around her shoulders, gray side out this time.
As if sneaking around in a black cloak has done me any good whatsoever so far.
From habit, she does a quick count of the arrows remaining in her quiver—and then counts again. She’d recovered the first arrow she’d fired back in Solace, but she’d later shot at least once at a pursuing goblin and had no chance to retrieve that one. Yet her quiver was full.
I also ate one of my mother’s meat pies for supper last night, and that wasn't exactly possible. Maybe don’t look a miracle unicorn in the mouth, girl.
Getting to her feet, Breenie notes some of her friends standing very still and staring.
“What are you—oh.” Breenie joins Maisor and Lorival in eyeing the pegasi with wariness. She’s not afraid, certainly—she did grow up having to handle farm animals, after all. But these were no farm animals, and any kind of beast was best approached with caution, if at all.
Teclis lays on the soft earth staring up into the sky. Stretching his arms over his head, he knocks over his quiver by accident. Turning around he notices all his arrows are accounted for. "how odd" he thought to himself, These replacements look just like the arrows from the famed Silvanesti fletcher Teleisan Yelvaris. As well as a pile of fresh apples. Amazing how all this was present.
Finally sitting up Teclis notices the beautiful, powerful, Pegasus herd that everyone else was gawking over.
Grabbing one of his apples he walks over to one of the animals, slowly at first, not meeting the eyes so as not to challenge the animal. Speaking a gentle greeting to it he offers the apple as a sign of friendship. Animal Handling 9 . In elvish he says "Good morning, do you have a name my friend?"

//assuming that I'm not doing well on the animal handling
looking over at Breenie (who rolled a 17) confused how this half-elf could connect with the Pegasus while he an elf, a Silvanesti elf at that could not.
Killian has been awake for most of the night but strangely enough, he doesn't feel tired. He feels almost reborn, like a great burden has been lifted from his shoulders. I am not alone anymore, I knew it. he thinks, pulling at his new medallion.
He has donned his new armor, a finely made armor.
As he walks into the clearing he sees winged horses waiting and marvels at the beautiful and noble creatures.
He casts a look at Riverwind, "Let's find a wait to settle him on the creature that won't hurt him further." he says to Goldmoon.
Having expected a restless sleep at best, Teric is surprised to find himself well rested when he opens his eyes. Gathering his gear he finds a pommel protruding from his previously empty scabbard. Drawing the simple short sword he finds it clean and well crafted. He feels a vague sense of loss at losing the functional but well worn blade he had carried for the last couple of years. Used more often as a tool than a weapon, and carrying the marks of that abuse. But the new blade was sturdy and sharp. It would serve his purpose well.
Joining the others with a misplaced sense of optimism, his pace slows as he sees their intended mounts.
"Oh damn. This just keeps getting weirder."
With well deserved apprehension he approaches one of the pegusi. "Easy there buddy. Let's do our best to get along shall we?"

He turned to Goldmoon. " We will have to take him there then. I just hope we make it in time to save him."

Killian smiled. He looked at his companions. They were already feeling better thanks to Maisor.
He had done with his music what compelling words could never achieve. He wished he could play an instrument. Maybe one day.
