After the Kip and Pip finished the tour, Adam is happy to ask several questions and compare his knowledge with his fellow ship enthusiasts. However, he noticed the exchange on the dock and asks them something off-topic.
"Does the Academy have any problems with smuggling or contraband here on the docks?" he asks Kip and Pip with pointed look toward the hobgoblin officer and merchant.
Adam also keeps an eye on Bellona's exchange with the hobgoblin to see if he may need to "blink" to her aid.

Muck seeing Bellona move away from group will move over to an out of the way spot, trying to stay unnoticed in the shadows, and keep an eye on her and see if anyone else is paying any particular attention to her as she approaches the Hobgoblin officer.
"Heh heh, Well, seems our tour is over. I say let's get on with our tasks! The faster we get them done the faster we can move on!"He slaps Beshlog on the back as he follows Pip and Kip, "I've been lookin forward to this last task all day!"
Still all wrapped up in the excitement of the real-life tour of a real-life flying ship, Mirelda remained oblivious to the little scheme of the crew of the said real-life ship. She nodded to the latest notion returning the blue hat (not without regret). "Yes, let's look at this obstacle course. Sounds at least intriguing."
Bellona will give him a smile. Speaking in a quiet voice.
”Yes I had a question about the bottle concealed in your pocket. A platinum is a lot to pay for smuggled goods and I want in on whatever it is you have going on here. I’m certain you would like this to remain on the quiet side and ai can respect that.”
The officer is silent for a moment before sighing, "I'm paying my respects to the dead. And while a platinum is much, she was a good enough sailor to have earned that right and more. Apologies if I mislead you to believe my conduct has anything to do with the recent thefts."

"Not recently, right now the only security concern would be the string of thefts happening inside the academy."
"What about the one that brought a space clown's gun?"
"Rather than security, that's more of a stupidity. They were new sailors and didn't know of space clowns yet."
The man portrays no faltering nor unease. He speaks once more, "Feel free to report me, this is contraband after all. I'll avoid saying you were showing an interest in it. I'm glad you atleast investigated yourself before just reporting it."
As nothing out of the ordinary appeared to happen, Muck oozes back over to the group. "I am also interested in this obstacle course and am very curious how they might adapt it to one such as myself."
"Nothing you should concern yourself with cadet, focus on your studies foremost, let the officers deal with the situation."
As Pik opens her mouth, Kip gives her a stern look, shutting her response.
"My sister and I wish you all a luck in the obstacle course, while I find it a bit dated, it is still necessary nonetheless."
With that, they head back to their inspection, giving orders to the workers as they start to load cargo onto the ship.
The trip down is long and winds about the spire. Nothing of interest as you make your way down. And as you enter the gymnasium floor, you start to hear explosions. Like those in the simulation you were in, yet more consistent and lacked the breaking of the ship. The room is covered in runes like those you saw at the sim floor, yet they seem to power a variety of magical effects rather than just illusions. You see a cadet running through what seems to be a series of explosions and is knocked away by one. He gets back up and heads to the beginning, getting ready to run it once more. Platforms levitate above an pool that sparked and frayed with electricity as cadets above jumped across them. A line of wheels spin about with their mace appendages, cadets swinging through them with ropes, some not so lucky as they're knocked off the line. And what seems to be at the end is a simple high wall with ropes attached. A gong rests at the top of it and a cadet moves near it, giving it a hit. Her cheers are drowned out by the ringing as she comes down the back of it.
"Oh, that is fun!" It's not like Mirelda looked (or was) very athletic and all that, but who can resist a good old run through the realistic obstructions? She grinned, clapped her hands in excitement and took her place at the start line. "Let's do it! Are we going in as a team or each of us should do it on our own?"
Warren cracks his knuckles, "Well, I'll be. This does look mighty fun."He looks around for whoever they are supposed to talk to in order to get started.

"Each of ya will have to complete it." A blue uniformed dwarf says, "And while there is no officers, the academy will keep track of who passes the course."
"Something about magic keeping track of it. Don't know, don't care." A half-orc near the dwarf says, "Either way its a good way to bet on the new recruits."
"Aye, I hear ye, ya bastard. I know that moon elf beat the bugbear. I'll get you your damn gold later if we don't break even."
"Anyway, the first part of the course is the bomb run, then the pool jump, swing on through the maces, and lastly climb on up the high wall. And who do you want to bet on in their group?"
"Well that's a bit rude ain't it, we're talking with them right now. But I'd put my gold on..."
"Well I've got a hunch and I'll follow through with it."
"Alright, if she comes first you win the bet."
The first part of the course is the bomb run, make a straight dash while targeted by loud illusory explosions. Con DC 10,
WARNING: Injuries can occur if you fail by 5 or more; ex. Con save = 3, The illusory explosion still feels real as it knocks you back, the ringing in your ear deafening you for a moment as you try to shake it off. You take 2 thunder damage.
Will post next course once one party member's gets past the run.

On her turn, Mirelda took a deep breath, exhaled and rushed through the "explosions". It was a strange feeling again, when you know the things are not real and yet they very much act like real.

Bellona will give the man a nod and smile before returning to the group.
"To the obstacle course then?"
Adam turns back to Kip and Pip. "Thefts? What kind of thefts? And who are the victims?" he asks with concern.
"Welcome back, Bellona. Yes, the obstacle course would likely be our next stop."
In a low whisper -
"Did you find the hobgoblin's recent purchase interesting?"

Beshlog isn't entirely sure what to make of this... he joined up to hone his skill in magic, not running. Still, he feels up for the challenge.
