"Ohhh... It is a shark!"For a few long moments, Mirelda transformed into the personification of admiration. Warren could know everything about the ship itself but she was glad to add this small piece of information. "The fish is not as big, of course, unless it's a true monster, but the same shape. Whoever built that ship truly knew the craft!" She rashed on board full of curiosity.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Muck follows along behind the others looking at everything as they move up the levels of the academy, paying particular attention to where the security checks are and how attentive the guards are.
Perception: 10
Once up on the sky deck he looks around at all the ships recognizing a few and wondering if there were any galleons around that he used to "serve" on. He stops and admires the Damselfly as he has always wanted to fly on one of those, admiring its clean lines and the gossamer wings. Coming back to himself he looks around and then hurries to atch up to the others as they board the impressive Hammerhead ship.
Listening to the two offices Muck chuckles and follows along behind.
"Seems the name fits well." Warren laughs as he boards the ship, "Now i think I know what the fish looks like."Eager to see what kind of firepower the ship has, he hurries after their guides.
The two take you to the lowest deck. Kip opening a room to show cramped quarters with bunks lining the walls and a small table with a few chairs in the center.
"Most crew quarters are able to hold up to 4 crew members, each with their own bunk and locker. And just a bit to your left will be the stateroom, for meetings or such. Further along you will find the cargo space and storage area for the crew."
"Opposite of that is the armory, where we'll keep basic weaponry and ammunition for crew members. Good if your weapon was knocked away or stolen from you, bad if you're hoping for a magical weapon as all the ones here are basic."
@Muck
From what you saw, they mostly are lax around the red and green gates but do actively stop people at the other gates. They hold a strange weapon at their side that glows a faint green.
"Next stop shall be the foreward castle, which has the first weapon engine you'll see on the tour."
In theory, a ship like this one was about to become a home for the group in the near future. Obviously, Mirelda was all eyes and ears following their guide around and trying to imagine her life here. Though... it could be another ship entirely. "Are all the ships designed the same way? I mean, inside?"
A ramming ship... now this is interesting. Beshlog isn't entirely sure why anyone would design a ship for the purpose of slamming into other ships.. but he approves anyway. After all, it makes just about as much sense as a Goliath wizard. He remains silent for the time being, taking in everything that the tour guides have to show the group.
"In a way, yes, but overall, no." Kip answers, "The few things that all ships have will be quarters and a spelljamming helm. As a single person cannot defend ship and steer it as well."
"And you can just decide to empty out a room and make it something else. I've seen people make the Hammer's armory into a brig of sorts, kinda like how some nobles clear out a Wasp's cargo for a lounge room."
"The one we're touring now has not been modified, a plain Hammerhead if you will. Each ship is unique, more so if their captain, crew, or whoever owns the vessel makes their own changes to it."
"Thank the gods you won't have to crew a Bombard, don't know how the giff can operate a ship that's just a cannon."
They open a door leading to a more open area. No roof and rails replace the walls here, as you see a catapult or sorts take the center of the room.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
The two of you see on a nearby dock, a hobgoblin academy officer supervising the unloading of a merchant ship surreptitiously slips the merchant a platinum piece. In return, the merchant hands the hobgoblin a small bottle, which the officer conceals in his pocket.
"The mangonel here serves as the long ranged option of attack. And needs a total of five crew members to use effectively."
"Two to load, two to aim, and one to fire. You can do it by yourself but then you wouldn't be able to aim and shoot it fast enough."
"The ammunition we'll mainly use is the lead balls while you can make a few explosive rounds if you want. And please do not launch anyone, willing or not, as its the same as launching a pumpkin."
"The connecting rooms are the saloon and mess hall. The other rooms would be the officer quarters and captain quarters. Our next stop shall be the across the deck, the spelljammer helm."
Warren is so caught up in looking at the ships weapons and wondering when he'll get to try them that he notices absolutely nothing about anything else. "Can we get a demonstration?" he laughs.
Beshlog presumably walks into a wall while marveling at the ship's rather impressive hardware. But he's in agreement with Warren: let's get a demonstration!

"So then, Adam... how did your morning play out?"
Hi there! I'm a Christian musician based in Canada :)
You see the two officers make their way towards you all.
"Greetings new recruits! We are your guides for today's tour of the ship,"
"Officer Kip and my sister, Pik. We shall be showing you around one of our more frequently used vessels, the Hammerhead."
"Lovingly named after how this ship can ram into others with its funny looking head."
"This tour shall cover over the rooms and weapons this vessel has."
"More importantly how to use said weapons, mind you, not the ram."
"We'll start our tour below decks, to show what crew quarters and where the armory is on ship."
"Then we'll work our way up, with me showing you how to operate any weaponry, mostly ballista or mangonels."
"Feel free to ask any questions along the way."
Kip starts to move for the lower decks, Pik motions to follow as she shouts a quick, "Don't slack off, we'll be back!", towards the workers.
Muck follows along behind the others looking at everything as they move up the levels of the academy, paying particular attention to where the security checks are and how attentive the guards are.
